Incredible read. Each chapter ties into a scripture, as this tells aspects of the Book of Revelation from a fictitious standpoint and does so in a way that’s not preachy. You see how people can be charmed by Helel’s character, but the author also makes it clear that the guy is bad news. The other characters are relatable in a way that you can see them as someone you know. It doesn’t shy away from how tough choices and life situations can shake one’s faith, and how sometimes faith can be used to harm others when approached from a place of prideful inflexibility. I’m not particularly religious myself, but it doesn’t detract from my appreciation of how the story developed.
This Christian thriller is based on Revelations. The characters are compelling, and the plot is gripping. Several of us read it at the same time, and we were all calling each other to discuss it. I can't wait for book two!
