Taken by His Alpha #7

Taken off Camera

Rate this book
Some fantasies belong on camera. Others come knocking.

Omega cam boy Micah keeps it professional. Flirt, be playful, never get personal. Until one private patron, GentlemanX, begins booking his sessions just to talk. No face. No name. Just a low, careful voice and stories traded in the dark, two strangers pretending not to need each other.

By the time Micah realizes he’s waiting for those nightly calls, it’s already too late to pretend it’s just business.

When Micah gets sick, he wakes to find a stranger in his apartment. Same voice, and only one keep the blindfold on. What starts as quiet caretaking turns into something far more intimate when Micah’s Heat hits, and they cross the line.

Then, GentlemanX disappears.

Micah isn’t about to be ghosted by the one man who’s made him feel real. He knows exactly who his shy, rich Alpha is, and he’s ready to confront him in person. But while Micah forces GentlemanX out of hiding, a stalker from his channel draws closer. What begin as creepy gifts escalates to invasions of privacy, and soon, it’s not just Micah’s heart on the line.

Someone else is watching. Someone who refuses to let the fantasy end. And unlike GentlemanX, this stalker doesn’t want to love Micah. They want to own him.

I wanted to rate this one higher but the book just didnt live uo to expectations.

1st) The description does not match up to the exact order of contents. It mentions the getting sick and the Alpha (ML) breaking into the MCs apartment, yes, but it also mentions the unexpected hear right after. While the heat did happen and it was unexpected their was a break in between. The description made it seem like it was back to back and that's what I was hoping for/excited about. On top of that you'd assume that it would take a little longer for the blindfold to come off when really it only took until the end of the MCs illness and a few days after.

2nd) The contradictions. Hopefully I'll remember it all and be able to list them but I'll start with the main ones first. 1: when the stalker is made known to us the mc goes to a Cafe to hide his hacking and cover all IP address bases. He states that he's trying to figure out who the stalker is and when when he finds them we also figure out who the stalker is as well. Let me preface, we find out at the SAME time as the MC. Not after he does BUT later in the book he admits to having already vetted the alpha stalker and basically ignoring it (a year or so in advance). 2: this is similar to him and the stalker. The patron (alpha, ML) is introduced to us as a mystery and the MC admits to not knowing who he is or having ever seen his face BUT later in the book at the same time he admits to having known who the stalker was before the book starts he also admits to having known who the ML was all along. To have done a background check on him, had seen his scars, knew his name etc. which makes no sense.

During the time the blindfold was in play the MC tells us he wants to know what the ML looks like, that he doesn't know his name etc. but then later admits to already knowing it. Make that make sense. There was no point in the blindfold to begin with. 3: him claiming camming to prove he is independent, confident etc. and that he loves his job and everything that comes with it YET he complains constantly about the men who watch him and how he struggles with money. Had he just gotten a job hed have the money he needs for bills and never would have dealt with a stalker. On top of that he says he loves his job and it makes him feel independent and confident yet he doesn't like the way he's treated by the patrons (being cat called, the sensually requests they make etc.). If he really liked it then we wouldn't have to constantly hear him mention it.

3rd) The random bursts of confidence. His attitude change killed whats left of the book for me. One minute he's stating he wants independence and the next he's agreeing to whatever 'his alpha' wants.

4th) His stupidity. Going back to the first two points, he knows all of this information and is a good hacker that can track down rapist, abusers etc. and helps put them behind bars yet he can't seem to find ONE GUY. As if he can't hack into cameras to trace the guys footsteps. Unless he went underground the stalker IS findable. He seems to care less and less about himself. Despite claiming how good he is and how he's saved so many others it looks like he draws the line at his own safety and leaves it up to two other people to do the job for him.

5th) The incompetence of the two alphas (Saint, his friend and Sebastian his alpha). You're telling be you're a millionaire who hired security that can't even stop deliveries from going to the MCs door? You can't use all of that money and all of your connections to get the cops (who'd actually care -- or at least enough to get some bribe money) to take the case and work on it actively??? and Saint its hard to take you serious. You pop up stating you know what your doing and you'll find the guy but seemed to go silence uo until the makes another move when you then learn about AFTER the fact. It makes it hard to believe that you helped save other omegas from predators. All you are is mad and doubting the entire book but yet you don't want to look at yourself??? You could have offered to stay with your friend or let him stay with you so that he has 24 hours protection but you didn't and then you get mad at him for relying on someone who actually stayed with him when he needed it.

I have more points I'm not going to even begin to think about but these are the main ones. Goodluck to those who read it. Only the incompetent people who like brain numbing idiotic books can finish this and rate it high.

P.S: The sex was horrible and not at all sexy or arousing. I skipped over it all.

This book was EVERYTHING I want in a contemporary Omegaverse romance — tender, filthy, suspenseful, emotional, and completely addictive. The worldbuilding felt immersive, the characters were wonderfully layered, and I fell headfirst into Micah and Sebastian’s connection.

I absolutely loved the way their relationship developed. What starts as playful cam sessions turns into something much deeper — two strangers bonding emotionally through a camera lens, night after night, until it becomes the one thing they both depend on. By the time Micah realizes he’s waiting for those calls, it’s too late. I was just as invested.

And when Micah gets sick and Sebastian finally shows up? That moment took their whole dynamic to another level. Protective, gentle, quietly anxious Sebastian — still carrying the insecurity of his scars — stepping in to take care of Micah was everything. Their chemistry is this perfect mix of soft vulnerability and explosive heat, and watching them slowly trust each other made the emotional payoff hit so hard.

Micah’s strength was another huge highlight for me. He’s bold, brave, a little bossy, and deeply wounded — but he handles the danger around him with clarity, not the reckless denial you see in other romances. When the stalker enters the picture, the tension ramps up fast. I won’t lie: that storyline gave me anxiety in the best way. The escalation from creepy gifts to real danger felt unnerving and high stakes, and the found-family protection on both sides added so much heart.

This story had everything I love:
🔥 Cam boy + billionaire alpha dynamic
🔥 Blindfolded intimacy
🔥 Slow emotional unraveling
🔥 Protectiveness + vulnerability
🔥 A bossy bottom Omega who knows his worth
🔥 A shy Alpha who would burn everything down for him
🔥 Found family
🔥 A suspense subplot that actually matters

Micah and Sebastian slot together so perfectly — a performer and his watcher, both carrying heavy pasts, both craving someone who sees the real them. Their emotional journey, their heat, their healing, the danger, the sweetness… I loved every layer of it.

An easy, glowing five stars. And now I’m absolutely feral for Saint and Gabriel’s book.

Micah has worked hard for his independence. Since leaving the system, he's worked as a cam boy. He's built a loyal following with his flirtatious, sexy style. He enjoys his work. Even more, he enjoys his private viewings with his special patron, GentlemanX. They are intimate without being sexual. They talk; they get to know one another; they start to care. Then, when Micah gets sick, he wakes to find his patron in his apartment, caring for him. As GentlemanX nurses him back to health, they become closer than ever, right in time for Micah's heat to hit. Another personal line is crossed. But after, GentlemanX disappears. Micah has figured out who his patron is and isn't about to let him just walk away, so he goes after Sebastian, ready for a fight. However, all this time, GentlemanX isn't the only patron obsessed with Micah. There's another, and he's a threat. He wasn't to possess and control, and he won't take no for an answer.

Sebastian and Micah's story was wonderful. I loved the camera angles. One was a performer; one was a watcher. It was an ideal match. Sweet and tender, Hot and spicy. This story was multi-layered. Both of these men carried the weight of their pasts, and it caused conflicts in the present day. They both had to bare their souls before they worked through the relationship blips. I loved the vulnerability and tenderness both men exhibited. Both were surrounded by family protectors, too. Seb had the Rockfords, and Micah had Saint. Everyone was determined not to let their loved one experience any more emotional damage. I loved how they all slotted together. As much as I enjoyed Seb and Micah's story, I loved the stalker storyline. The tension was steady, and the ending was superb. I was on the edge of my seat. Even knowing it was coming, it still caused anxiety. I loved, loved, loved how it played out. Now I can't wait to get Saint and Gabriel's story. What a surprise!

“See?” My lips curve into a small smile. “Not afraid. Not disgusted. Not pitying you.”
Sebastian’s shoulders drop, the first layer of tension melting away. His fingers curl, bunching the fabric of my robe. “You’re the first person who hasn’t…”
“Their loss,” I whisper, pulling him down to press my lips to the highest point of scarring near his temple. “These are marks of survival. Nothing to be ashamed of.”

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Micah and Sebastian. Absolutely loved the way their relationship developed- emotionally through a camera lens- until Micah needed help and Sebastian showed up for him. He was protective and caring, and also had his own insecurities from scars from a car accident. There was suspense and danger from an escalating stalker, and I liked that Micah- though brave and determined- accepted the situation without making excuses, or ignoring or denying it as some protagonists do in other romances and recklessly put themselves in more danger. I admit this aspect of the story gave me anxiety! I loved Saint and the bond between him and Micah and can't wait to read his book!

This was such an exciting and beautiful hurt/comfort romance. 5 stars.

Micah, also known as Elliot, grew up in the system with the only person he could depend on: his best friend, Saint. Micah became a cam boy to support himself. He enjoyed what he did because it gave him independence and choice. His best friend, Saint, does security and also keeps an eye out for Micah. Micah has a patron that he really likes, Gentleman X. He's different from the other people because when they have their private sessions, it's not sexual; he just wants to talk and get to know him. When Micah loses consciousness on camera due to a fever, he comes to in a daze, and Gentleman X is there taking care of him. But Micah has another problem: a man who is stalking him. When he decides to stop doing cam work until they can catch the guy, it causes the stalker to escalate. I really enjoyed the story; I enjoyed the buildup of their relationship, and I really love Saint and can't wait for his and Gabriel's story. But I have to admit, the last 15% of this book caused me extreme anxiety. I found myself shaking, and I would have to stop reading for a couple of minutes.

I have enjoyed every book in this series! In this book, Micah is an omega who supports himself by working as a cam boy. He sometimes attracts stalkers, but he takes many precautions, is an accomplished hacker, and he also has a best friend who helps take care of threats. One of his best clients is someone he's never met - GentlemanX. Although he's never met him, he feels he is a kind, compassionate alpha.

GentlemanX is actually Sebastian, a member of a very wealthy family. Seb's face and body is scarred, so he prefers the anonymity of hiding in the shadows on the camera to real relationships, where he is often rejected due to his appearance. When Micah passes out from a sickness during a cam session, Seb knows he must make contact. When he learns that Micah is in danger from a stalker who is escalating, Seb knows he and his family must get involved.

This book has action, authentic emotions, compassion, supportive family and friends, and a beautiful, mated forever love. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Book seven of "Taken by his Alpha".
An entertaining read with a fiercely independent omega who only trust his closest friend.
Micha, a cam boy, has his own channel, but also entertains some private patrons. One of these is GentlemanX who have been following Micha online for about a year. They have becoming closer getting to know each other, but GentlemanX have never shown of his face to Micha. An incident happens and suddenly GentlemanX is in his apartment nurturing him back to health.
On top of this Micha's stalker pick up his game forcing Micha to take actions.
An exciting book that holds your attention and keep you occupied. A very well written series with thrilling content to keep you engaged for hours. In fact, when you start reading this book you've better have canceled all your plans for the day, because you don't want to put it away until the last page is read.

This book has so many tropes that I really enjoy, cam boy, caretaker Alpha, billionaire, etc. Sophie O’Dare does her usual great job mixing things up together and giving us another great story to read. I like the way she has Gentleman X hiding behind his online identity and the ultimate reasons for him hiding. It makes for a very different type of courtship where everything is based on what he does and how he acts towards Micha. There is some great tension because of different men wanting Micha in very different ways.

Another hit!

Anyone who truly enjoys an omegaverse mm Romance really needs to dive into these stories. They're so well thought out. The World building is tremendous and the characters are just fantastic. You fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other.

The spice is an added bonus and while I am definitely a spice reader the way it's written into these stories is smooth and not forced.

There are some triggers and attempted SA but they're written in a way that develops a story and truly makes this omegaverse Saga one of the best I've ever read

Im new to this author and going in to this book i didn't realise it was part of a series. But I feel that it doesn't really matter, although there is an underlying story the main story with the couple is resolved and it is a HEA.
This is on the fringe of omegaverse and there are both much tropes from it but just enough to pass. I personally prefer a heavier omegaverse but if you were new to it it would be good and there is a key at the start to help you understand.

Emotional and intriguing. Micah, is an omega surviving by working as a cam boy. He tries to keep his work professional. He knows the risks and does his best to take precautions. A client, GentlemanX is someone he becomes emotionally intimate with and starts to dependent upon. Seb, GentlemanX is scarred and prefers to be hidden. He comes to be emotionally dependent on Micah. When a stalker escalates, Seb has choices. This is a good emotional mystery thriller that draws you in and doesn't let you go. Nicely done.

Plot 3.5/5
Spice 2.5/5
Alpha/ Omega
Found Family
Insecure Alpha / independent omega
Cam boy hacker / recluse-ish computer security man

I loved Sebastian! I have been waiting for his story!! He is self conscious about the scars on his face so he tends to stay hidden, but that doesn't stop Micah! And once Micah finds himself a stalker all bets are off!

The story is a bit predictable but still enjoyable! The plot is definitely the focus but the spicy scenes are smoking, especially through Micah's heat!

Micah is a camboy; instant 3 stars, even though he and Seb's story is more intriguing than Ezra's, but still, when I read the added bonus that Micah is still camming, 3 turned to 2 stars. How in the world could Seb agree to it and watch his omega, his mate, perform intimate acts with other alphas watched online? Damn!

Taken Off Camera is the seventh book in the Taken by His Alpha series, each can be read as a standalone. This is a steamy, camboy/client, hidden identity read about Micah and Seb. I am so glad I have found this author and will be looking for more of their books, really wonderful if you like omegaverse.

Micah is an omega and a cam boy. He keeps things professional until GentlemanX starts having privates sessions with him just to talk and things start to become personal. He wants more with him but there's someone else out there who wants to own him and won't let anyone get in his way. I really enjoyed this book.

How can anything be that boring with this kind of lit. Even the sex scenes were skipable

Not recommended, glad for KU. At least I didn’t pay for it.
