A dark, emotional, and twisted slow-burn age-gap romance between a Bratva devil and the broken girl who sings to his soul.
It all started that night. She was standing on the edge of a ledge, done with everything life had left to offer. But one stranger changed everything.
For Hope, he was a good man. A saviour who saved her twice. She looked at him with nothing but respect, affection, and trust. Little did she know, the man she thought had a heart of gold, had a heart made of ashes. The man who brought her heaven—ruled hell.
Damir Mikhailov never saw women as anything but objects. Pretty things to enjoy, and discard. Until a quiet redhead walked into his life, with scars that mirrored his brother’s. At first, he felt pity. And before he realised, that pity had turned into devotion.
But the devotion of a devil isn’t meant for heaven, and she was too sacred to be dragged into his hell.
Noyar Cecil writes stories of pure, unwavering love, where devotion is deep, emotions run wild, and romance leaves a lasting mark. Her books aren’t just about love; they’re about the kind that consumes you, changes you, and stays with you long after the last page.
Devotion of a Devil is the fourth book in the Destiny of Devils series by Noyar Cecil. It will break you apart before healing you.
My heart was smashed completely when I read Hope's story. The pain she endured. The person she should have been able to trust was the one who was hurting her. He left her so broken that she didn't believe she was good enough or worthy of anything.
Enter Damir. From the moment he saw her, he wanted to protect her. While I dislike the choices he made in the beginning, I admire the way he changed for her, cared for her, and took her under his wing.
Despite it going against his entire beliefs. With Hope, he was patient and gentle. He transformed into the person she needed him to be and for that, he will always have a place in my heart.
Noyar Cecil has a way with words that just draws me in every single time. I absolutely love her style of writing and cannot wait to read more of her books.
I loved every lyric Hope sang. They really tugged at my heart strings, and I could feel every emotion. The pain, the love, everything. It was raw and beautiful.
I love, love, loved the way characters from the previous books made cameos! It definitely felt like a full circle moment. I read Burning Him Insane first so it was a lovely surprise to see them again! Especially Ruslan! The way they were incorporated into the story in a way that was relevant shows how incredible of a writer Noyar is!
This is by far my favourite book of the series!! It was such a joy to read, fall in love with the characters and go on such an emotional rollercoaster. I highly recommend this book!
This is a dark romance story with scenes that may be distressing for some. I strongly advise checking the trigger warning page before reading it.
Favourite quotes:
“You’re a little thing I want to keep in my arms my whole life, so that nothing ever touches you. You are my precious treasure, Hope. And I’m not idiot enough to throw my treasure out.”
"You loved the dark, and called it good. And now I’m safe in your embrace.”
I absolutely enjoyed this story and couldn't put it down. This is my first from this author and definitely not my last. This is a 4th book in the series and luckily It wasn't as confusing with recurring characters and plots from the previous books. It was an exciting and a fun ride. I never knew what was going to happen throughout the book and at one point got extremely scared that I was about to throw my kindle across the room.
The story is about a Pakhan who cares for no one but his brothers. He treats everyone else including woman with abhorrence. He is cruel, harsh and definitely not a good guy. That is until he ends up saveing a young but broken woman, Hope. With nowhere to go, He allows her to stay and work for him at his residence.
This book had such great intensity, passion, angst, and love between this couple. You are able to feel their chemistry off the pages and you can't help but fall in love with both of them yourselves. I appreciated Noyar Cecil's writing style. You can easily mesh yourself because of how descriptive and easy her words flow on the pages of the book.
Hope is such a sweet, kindhearted, and innocent FMC. She has an abusive past and is definitely broken. However, we get to see her turn into such a beautiful, strong, and confident women. She is an extremely relatable character and you just want to be her friend and protect her.
Damir as well develops and softens throughout the book through helping Hope overcome her past and falling in love with the woman she was always meant to be. I loved being in his POV because in his eyes, we see just how adorable she really is! and I mean ADORABLY CUTE!!!
I also loved and cared for the side characters. My favorite is Zakhar! Poor guy lol He just kept getting ordered around and doing everything. I wish we got more of him and his lifestyle. If he actually gets to have much of a life haha. But I'm glad he's got someone.
This is interconnected and since I read this book first, I will go now and read the 1st book and I'm so excited to start it! I do hope we get another book in this series because we still have Ruslan. He has yet to find his special one and to be laughed at for actually falling in love. :)
I don’t even know where to begin because this book completely owned me. Damir Mikhailov, our MMC — is the kind of character who walks straight out of the pages and leaves a scar on your heart. He’s cruel, feared, untouchable — yet somehow, when it comes to Hope, all that darkness shifts. For her, he’ll burn the world.
And our FMC, Hope - oh my shyla, she broke me. She’s fragile, wounded, carrying so much pain — and yet there’s this quiet resilience in her that makes you ache for her happiness. The way her presence disarms a man like Damir felt almost poetic. Some characters are just so precious that you want to keep them in your heart forever. She’s that character, y’all. Will always love a soft FMC 💗
What makes this book so special is how it captures the contradictions of love. It’s not soft here. It’s jagged, messy, obsessive — and yet it feels more real than anything. Damir is not the kind of man who should know devotion, but watching him fall, watching him choose her again and again, had me in pieces. And some of their scenes had me giggling like a madman. The waxing scene? YES. This man helped her with waxing and calls her “lotus.” I just can’t 😭 they’re so precious to me.
This book definitely deserves five stars. If it were possible, I’d give it the whole sky full of stars, but since I can’t, it’s a solid five from me. I wasn’t just reading about Damir and Hope — I was feeling them. And last but not least, our author did absolutely amazing. Her writing, these characters, everything is so beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever be over them.
So do read this book. If you love slow burn, obsessed MMCs, touch-her-and-die energy, and the pakhan × broken girl trope, then this is for you. Thank you to the author for giving me this opportunity to read your book — I loved it and enjoyed every single chapter💌
📚 P.S. This is the 4th book in the Destiny of Devils series, but it can be read as a complete standalone.
“The devotion of a devil isn’t meant for heaven, but Hope was too sacred to be dragged into his hell… and I’ve never been more obsessed.”
This book broke me and healed me all at once. Devotion of a Devil is everything I crave in a dark romance — it’s raw, emotional, and addictive in a way that keeps you awake at 3 AM whispering “just one more chapter.”
Hope’s journey absolutely shattered me. A girl carrying so much pain, so many scars, yet still holding on to a softness that deserved to be cherished. Watching her strength bloom even after her brutal past made me want to wrap her up in my arms and protect her forever.
And Damir? GOD. The way he started as this ruthless, cold Bratva devil who saw women as nothing but objects — and then her presence shifted everything. That transformation from pity, to obsession, to devotion… it was magnetic. The scene where he begs, “Please kiss me. Because I’m not allowed to do this, and I fucking need this,” completely destroyed me. It’s one of those lines that will stay etched in my soul forever.
Their love wasn’t soft or easy. It was jagged, messy, brutal, and yet it felt like the most beautiful kind of salvation. The kind of love that both damns you and saves you.
Noyar Cecil has written one of the most unforgettable age-gap, Bratva romances I’ve ever read. If you love your books dark, emotional, and dripping with longing, Devotion of a Devil is for you.
And Damir Mikhailov? Yeah… I want a man like him. Dangerous, devoted, and absolutely undone by the woman he never thought he deserved.
𓆩♡𓆪 In one line: this book is the 𝒹𝑒𝓋𝑜𝓽𝒾𝑜𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝒹𝑒𝓋𝒾𝓁. The devil is Bratva Pakhan – 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘳 𝘔𝘪𝘬𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘷, a man no woman in her right mind could ever love. But then came Hope ✧… the only one who never saw his darkness. She believed he was good, always. And 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘳—in guilt, regret, pity—began to fall for her… and kept falling.
4 ⭐️ Damir & Hope’s story is dark & twisted as well as loving & caring. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. I felt so sick in my stomach reading Hope’s story & seeing all the pain she went through. She did not deserve to go through all that especially from someone she trusted. My poor girl felt so worthless & didn’t believe she was capable of receiving anything. She struggled to be near men except for…. Damir, mister russian mafia boss, mister devil on earth himself 🤭 that man was so down bad from the moment he laid eyes on Hope. he wanted nothing more than to protect her from his world and from herself. Damir’s acts of services were EVERYTHING 💗🤭 That man made a vow to protect Hope till his last dying breath no matter the cost. I love how Damir changed for the better & became everything Hope needed. I love the age gape between Damir & Hope was done, mentioned once maybe twice and that was it, they both accepted it and everyone around them was supportive as well! I loved them both so much and i’m so sad this book series is over 🥺🥹 ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT MAKSIM AHAHAHAH IM SO DOWN BAD FOR THAT MAN. But i’m so glad i got to experience Noyar’s stories, where all these characters live in my mind rent free 💗 I can’t wait to see what else Noyar writes in the future 💖
I’ll be honest—the beginning felt both slow and rushed at times, but the moment Hope reentered Damir’s life, I was hooked. I absolutely loved how he cared for her. At first, his protectiveness stemmed from seeing her struggles and relating them to his brother’s mental health, but over time, she carved out her own place in his heart.
Damir may be the ruthless Pakhan of the bratva, but for Hope, he became a ray of sunshine. I didn’t like that Rosa pushed him to lie about his work, but given his world, I understood he had no other choice.
Irina, however, stole the spotlight for me. Even without a daughter of her own, she quickly grew attached to Hope, nurturing and guiding her with genuine warmth. The way she celebrated Hope’s small victories was so touching, and it made her one of my favorite characters in the book.
The story had its chaos, but also so much heart—it was raw, tender, and wholesome all at once. I loved every bit of it… but I have to admit, Alexander still holds the crown as my favorite. Sorry, Damir!
Tropes: Forced Proximity Age Gap He Falls First (and hard) Trauma Healing Secrets
✦ 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 – Hope’s story broke my heart in the beginning. She is fragile, carrying so much pain, and the last thing she ever expected was to find safety in Damir the man everyone fears. Damir has lived in darkness for so long, hardened by his world, but with Hope he starts to change. What makes this book so special is how their bond grows quietly yet powerfully. I loved how Damir’s devotion is shown not through sweet words but through his actions. He is protective, ruthless to the world, yet impossibly tender when it comes to Hope. And Hope, despite being broken, learns to stand tall again with him by her side. Their relationship is messy, raw and filled with emotions that grip you completely. The writing is smooth, the chemistry is intense, and the emotions feel real. By the end, I wasn’t just reading their story I was feeling it. This book gave me goosebumps, made me teary and also left me smiling. Thank you so much author for gifting me this book!!
Hands down one of my favourite reads of 2025. Damir and Hope now lives rent free in my mind. I won't spoil anything about the book but I will mention some scenarios which will only intrigue other readers to read the book.
It's an age gap trope, which I'm not a big fan of but this one book is an exception. Damir Mikhailov got direct entry into my bookboyfriend list. The man is ruthless and unhinged who absolutely hated the concept of love. He had his own reasons for this hatred. Even if he was the Pakhan, his real side for all other emotions were kept hidden until Hope came to his life.
Hope on the other side was the example for traúma survivors. The girl was broken from every side until she met Damir. The man who saved her from monsters and brought a new sight for life. But she was only aware of the hidden side of Damir, while the other devilísh side of him was kept aside from her.
It's a story of broken souls, blóodshed and love. If you are a fan of mafia romance with age gap trope, go for this book.
Devotion of a devil is the 4th book in the destiny of devil series by noyar Cecil. This is my first book I am reading from this series, and i absolutely enjoyed it. The romance and the spicy were spot on 👌. Damir a.k.a pakhan who care only about his brothers, who treats others like a trash. He is cruel and stone hearted, but he changes when he meets "hope" She is fragile and broken inside. Her story is so painful, she was broken when Damir met her. As the story moves, both the characters heal together and accept who they are. The characters in this book, especially Rosa and Irina, are the best heartwarming supporting characters. They make her comfortable and heal her in their own way. As per the mafia part, it was good. I got scared at the end, but eventually everything went well. Overall, the story is darker and Spicer. The dark romance reader will absolutely love it 😉.
I've received an ARC of this book from an author and I am so grateful for it. I went into it without reading the previous books. Because of that, I think my experience might have been a bit different from the readers that have read the previous books.
I did enjoy the writing style. It flows well and made the book easy to read. There were moments that definitely drew me in and made me curious about the world and characters. At the same time, a few scenes felt a little uncomfortable for me, and some plot points came across as predictable, which lessened the suspense.
Overall, this is a decent read and has every trope a dark romance and mafia romance readers will love. Do make sure you check out TWs before reading, as this one does have a bit of sensitive topics.
This book was pure perfection. It showed love in its most vulnerable form devotion that’s fierce, unshakable, and achingly beautiful. I fell in love with the way the hero’s devotion shone through every action, every word. The romance was passionate, the emotions were deep, and the story kept me smiling, crying, and swooning all at once. It felt like a perfect finale to a stormy yet breathtaking journey. Without doubt, 5 dazzling stars ✦
Hats off to you, Noyar. I knew it would be amazing but I still wasn’t ready for the impact it left on me. This book has unlocked a whole new level of respect for you in my heart. The way you handled Hope’s case, I cried so many times while reading it. And the last two chapters were pure pain. You nailed it. This book is everything. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful story.
