A fun, English farce set in a countryside UK boarding house, Wentworth, where a varied cast of characters who stay regularly, and take the salt baths for health reasons, have fun and games each year. Retired Army Colonel Chase is a domineering know-it-all, who constantly harangues the other guests, including Miss Howard, who paints watercolors, as well as Mrs Oxney and other staff trying to run the place.

Add in other colorful characters like Mrs. Bliss, who says she only takes the salt water treatments to please her husband, because she doesn’t believe in sickness or illness, but believes only in “Mind”, which rules our health and emotions, and the farce runs at high relief.

Kind of a period piece, from the author of the Mapp and Lucia books.
