Cassidy Silver is not having a good year. Her engineer father is in the Middle East, her artist mother is too busy to listen to the painful details of her daughter's grade seven life, her genius younger brother is being bullied, and her best friend Chiaki has abandoned her to hang out with the meanest girls in school. Then Cassidy meets Victoria, who is telekinetic—she can move objects with her mind. Cassidy, desperate to not be the only ordinary person in her family, thinks learning telekinesis could be the answer to all her problems. But is Victoria telling the truth? And is telekinesis really the solution?

I am liking the book it’s really good so far, the books about a 12 year-old girl and her new best friend the chapter that I’m on they just helped Cassidys mother with her art show
In this book, there is one character I want to talk about. Her name is Casidy Silver. Before years of speech therapy, she had a lisp. A lisp is when you have problems saying the sound 's' So if you say her name with a lisp, it sounds like 'Cathidy Thilver, Tchool Freak' Everyone thinks she's a freak. Even though she had speech therapy, her lisp comes back when she's sad or angry, or when emotions are running crazy. Or when she's anguished. She went through a lot, like people teasing her about being a 'freak' and having no friends, and her nerdy brother being bullied because...well... because he's a nerd. And her mom is too busy with her artwork to pay much attention to her kids. When she does get a friend, it seems that her friend can do telekinsis, but she doubts it. Something bad is following her, and Cassidy has to help her new friend escape bad luck's wrath. If you want to read what happens, grab the book and read!
I really like this book, it was a really exciting in the middle of it. It really did capture my attention and what capture my attention was the cover of the book. It just looked really interesting with a fether. The book is about a girl, who is pretty much an outcast at school, and she gets bullied by the "popular girls" at school. Then a new girl came to school. Her name was Victoria, but she was not a normal girl. She knew teleknisis. Which means she has the ablilty to move things with her mind. Victoria is not allowed to use it at all! But she has the urge to use it towards the popular girls that bring everyonw down. I really liked the part where she actually uses it but not on the girls but on her teacher! It was a really good booko to read, and if there were a whole seires I would continue to read the rest.
So far so good. This book is about a girl who is going thru a tough time in 7th grade. But then she meets this girl named Victoria, and Cassidy, the main character, finds out that Victoria has telekinesis power. That is were I am right now. Im enjoying this book so much that I can't put it down. But a thought that I have is: Why doesnt CassidyBelieve Victoria that Victoria has the special paower of telekinesis??????
A good book to recommend to a middle school reluctant reader girl. Cassidy, 7th grade, finds the friend she needs and wants in the new girl, Victoria. This book has it all; distant parents, a caring teacher, bullies, a younger brother to protect, an older no good brother, and outsiders coming together to make a great group of supportive friends.
This book felt slightly simplistic, but overall there is a ring of authenticity to it. While the main character doesn't face any large horrific situation, she instead suffers from smaller and much more common issues of bullying, fitting in, dealing with bad teachers and absent parents, and learning to make friends. Middle grade readers could benefit from reading this realistic fiction.
it was so cute and friendly. i couldnt put this book down and even my teacher told me to put it down during the math lesson. i really relate to this book since im in middle school. i recommend you this book for a good time - Jen UPDATE: IM AN IDIOT FOR READING THIS DURING A MATH LESSON. DISRESPECTFUL
It was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or rave about how good it was... The characters made you stress because they made the worse decisions.
I thought this was a well written story with an interesting plot and realistic characters. The theme of tackling bullying deserves attention. An enjoyable mid grade read.
This is a really cute book about friendships, and how people struggle to find themselves. The protagonist is a 12 year old girl who struggles with a lisp. She finds friends in some unlikely places, and learns to appreciate some of the people she can't call friends. This book has some great relationship dynamics between family members and classmates. A great read.
