2 stars (possible spoilers ahead) I guess this book takes place BEFORE the events of Book 1. 🤷♀️
So….Ethan (H) was a grumpy dixkhead. I’d call him a cowardly p*ssy, too. Maybe even a complicit murderer, depending on how you look at his position in the company (I find it hard to believe with his position in the company he didn’t see any of the records or order forms)
Ethan and Harper fell in love in college. Ethan’s dad wanted him to end it. Dad called Harper a distraction. The fact is- Ethan ended it with Harper. Said very nasty stuff to her. One of Harper’s POV about the breakup:
“Never once admitted he was wrong? And then I remember the night he left. That we were "fun" but not "forever." That I wasn't "the right fit" and the “spark had faded.” I remember begging—actually begging—him to reconsider. To fight for us. And I remember his silence” ————
It’s now 7 years later, and Ethan’s mom and dad died in a plane crash. Ethan’s dad was scummy and has falsified records on his planes. Karma that he died in one of his bad planes. Ethan is now the CEO and the company is taking a major hit. Harper’s company handles PR events like this. She hired to fix his company’s reputation.
Ethan has always hero-worshiped his dad. Dad says JUMP, Ethan asks HOW HIGH? Dad told him to get rid of Harper, he did…..and not only that, he was absolutely cruel with the things he said to her. The poor woman has no idea what she did or what happened.
Now he wants a second chance, kind of. They are both hot-cold with each other. They’ll have a smexual moment, then next, one will pull away. Ethan will never tell her why he just ended things with her. (I wanted to scream at the dum dum)
So Harper fixes the company. They have a few smex moments. She plans a surprise birthday for him and he kind of loses his shite on his brothers and Harper. Harper leaves. There’s some drama with the younger brother. He’s the next book so I assume we will find out what his problem is.
The younger brother FINALLY tells Harper why Ethan just ended it all those years ago. Holy fk sakes it was the dumbest thing ever. Dad faked a heartattack. Told Ethan he had the heartattack because Ethan was letting Harper distract him. 😩😩😩😩 And added on to that was the fact dad was having Harper followed. Dad wanted to scare Harper enough to break up with Ethan. Wut? AND….. Ethan found out all this 3 months after he broke up with Harper. He didn’t try to go make things better then. Nope! He wanted to pROtEcT hEr 🤦♀️
Harper finds all this out and her POV is that she’s not going to run to him. He needs to come to her and grovel. Hahahahhahahahhahahhahaha. Yeah right! He does come to her but there is ZERO grovel. He just explains how he’s always loved her. Then they have smex. HEA 🤯
Make it make sense. Now I’m scared to read book 3.
Why is a leftist, cat-lady, feminist eagerly searching online for an “In my billionaire romance era” sticker (which will go right next to “Morally grey is my favorite color”)? I’ll happily explain…
5 stars. WITHOUT hesitation. 5 stars.
First things first - if you are thinking "hmm werewolves?" No, JUST HEAR ME OUT...
I want to propose a challenge to the reader - I'll give you my best "sales pitch" including just the bits-n-bobs that for me, personally, valued this read at 5 stars.
Spice? YUP. Somehow Sasha Cross has managed to deliver a deliciously-paced "slow burn," but also sprinkling in a healthy amount of those blush-inducing, footsy-kicking flashback memories. ::you may or may not want to proactively shed any/all warm outer layers::
Real talk though - what makes this book a standout, is that there is both HEAT and HEART. The main love connection, sure. Ethan and Harper's storyline could definitely be interesting enough on its own. Their banter! Good lord I'm slightly embarrassed at the number of highlighted passages in my Kindle marked with the note "This had me lol-ing" or simply "LOL" More examples of "heart" include (but are not limited to): family dynamics, doing the right thing, regret, and SO. MUCH. MORE. ::I want to say so much more, but I don't want to spoil anything!!!::
Lastly: I take my coffee with oat milk creamer, and I like peanut butter with a tiny drizzle of honey on my toast. ::Just, ya know, manifesting my very own Ethan...::.

Claimed by the Heir by Sasha Cross is the first book of The Langston Billionaires series. Harper is hired to help save Ethan's company from a PR nightmare. Their story has a past, twist and turns, lots of drama and romance. What happens when Harper learns the reason why Ethan left her without a word seven years ago? Claimed by the Heir is well written with an excellent storyline.

I spoilt this book by reading the second one first
Harper and Ethan fall in love but Ethan’s Dad doesn’t think Harper is good enough for his son and goes about breaking them up. 7 years later Dad gets his comeuppance and dies in a plane crash. Harper is hired to help the company recover, and in the process they find forever.
Ethan and Harper's story is a story of not dwelling on the past's "What ifs". It is beautifully written on how they just never forgot how to love each other. How to know and remember everything of each other and just do it because it comes naturally. Sad that there were losses, but those losses brought out secrets and future to their relationship.
Beautiful story and well written. The storyline just flowed easy to read and was emotional at times. Really enjoyed this book. Also, after reading One Night with the Heir, which is also a great story about his brother Chase. Definitely recommend.
A second chance for Ethan to get it right but Harper is not about to get her heart stomped on again! She’s there for only one reason…to clean up the Langston corporate PR mess and that’s it! Will Ethan be able to win the heart of the only woman he’s loved or does Harper walk at the end?
