Les Septuplés de la Mafia
Je voulais simplement ourler un costume, pas finir enceinte des septuplés d’un parrain de la mafia.
Mais nous en sommes là.
Un instant, je repousse un client aux mains baladeuses, et l’instant d’après, un Russe dangereusement séduisant, dans une veste à dix mille dollars, lui grogne de reculer… en m’appelant la sienne.
Son nom ? Iskander Taranov. Plus d’un mètre quatre-vingts de puissance glaciale, de calme mortel et d’abdos absolument incroyables. C’est le genre d’homme qui pourrait gâcher votre vie et vous faire dire merci.
Et il a ruiné la mienne… plus ou moins. Parce que lorsqu’un groupe mafieux rival a lancé une attaque en règle contre ma boutique, je me suis retrouvée prise entre deux feux.
Je me suis réveillée dans le manoir d’Iskander avec un garde du corps, un téléphone prépayé et un homme qui dit que je suis désormais sous sa protection.
Évidemment, notre relation est restée professionnelle…
Jusqu’à ce qu’elle ne le soit plus.
Une nuit incroyable (ou deux), un moment d’égarement (ou quelques-uns), et maintenant…
Je suis enceinte.

Major potential but too clinical
Normally, I'd DNF a book like this but I struggled through because it has potential. This is the first book I've read from this author but I'm not sure I'll read another one. The way this book is written makes me wonder if ChatGBT wad used. It's so formal and clinical. There is no feeling in it. If the author would go back over it and edit it, it could be something.
There are also other signs that make me think it needs more revisions. At one point it talks about her going to bed in his bedroom and bed. The next paragraph says he comes in and sits beside her on the edge of "her" bed. Then the next paragraph has him striding across the room to sit on the edge of her bed.
I will say that readers aren't dumb. We can tell when help is used and this book screams ChatGBT and AI. I've reading for over 40 years and I've never read a book so clinical and without feeling. A computer definitely helped this along.
Note to the author... If you go back over this book and put feeling into it, it has the potential to be a good book that many will want to read. And you need to correct some of the stuff as well, like mentioned above.

Boring. Tbh.
I started out liking this book but by around 60% in got bored. The mole wasn't a surprise and I knew pretty much from when they were introduced.
Her knowledge and fear of the mafia did not match her refusal to acknowledge the serious nature of the situation and constantly asking him for more attention when he was trying to do what she wanted by leaving the bratva just annoyed me.
How she listened to everyone's negativity rather than talk with him properly
In the end, I skimmed the last 30% of the book. For the length of the book and how it was about the 7 babies the lack of story afterwards was disappointing.

I’m someone who can read a book that may not be proofread and enjoy it but this book very clearly didn’t have any kind of editor look over it. I really liked the premise even if natural septuplets is something I struggled to suspend my disbelief over but this lacked consistent writing. I can ignore typos and continuity errors but I hate how the main characters do not have distinct personalities. You are told that the FMC bites back and is strong but then nothing she does outside her chapters shows that. She very much has NPC vibes in the MMC’s chapters and he gives her a personality. There’s no consistency to either behaviors which is find really annoying. That took me out of the story more than anything.

This enthralling story grabs you and doesn't let go. Willa and Iskander cross paths when he comes to her aid with a grabby customer who had other ideas for payment in mind. She never expected what was to come next and the rollercoaster of emotions will have you connecting with them as they channel their energy to stay one step ahead of Iskander's enemy. Will their relationship survive it all.

Okay
Overall, the book is okay but it def needs some edits.
I tried really hard to like Willa but I just couldn’t. She has no confidence in herself, she claims to not trust easily because of what she’s been through (which is valid) but she so quickly trusts the wrong person & her complaints while Iskander is doing everything he can to give her what she wants.
I would recommend if you’re looking for something quick to pass the time.

Adrenaline Rush
This story was fast paced with plenty of adrenaline filled, edge of your seat moments. Iskander was the mafia knight in shining armor who came to Willa’s defense when a customer became too handsy. This was the start of a rollercoaster of events that put this couple through several trials and tribulations. This mafia romance has it all! Violence, trust issues, betrayal and plenty of heated chemistry not to mention babies. Read and enjoy!

WOW! I could barely handle one at a time but seven. Give Willa medal and Saint Hood. They found each other and had a few obstacles to over come. The main one was that someone Willa thought was a confidant was actually staging her in the back. They get their HEA. N to the next adventure!😉💚💙

Great story!!
This is a well written easy to read story, with found family, friendships, emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, betrayal, challenges, humour, making choices, action, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

not for me
Sorry but this story was so boring I couldn’t even finish it. It had potential in the beginning but the MMC parts could not keep me engaged. I scrolled through probably 50% of this book. Unnecessary details.

4 "seven!!!!" stars!!!!
Such a beautiful read!!! Willa came off as a little headstrong but she is carrying SEVEN babies inside her so it was alright haha. Iskander is great!!!

Cette histoire captivante vous saisit et ne vous lâche pas. Willa et Iskander se croisent lorsqu'il vient à son secours face à un client trop insistant qui avait d'autres idées en tête pour le paiement. Elle ne s'attendait pas à ce qui allait suivre et les montagnes russes d'émotions vous permettront de vous connecter avec eux alors qu'ils canalisent leur énergie pour rester un pas en avant de l'ennemi d'Iskander. Questa storia avvincente ti cattura e non ti lascia andare. Willa e Iskander si incrociano quando lui viene in suo soccorso con un cliente invadente che aveva altre idee per il pagamento. Non si aspettava affatto ciò che sarebbe successo dopo e il giro sulle montagne russe delle emozioni ti farà connettere con loro mentre incanalano la loro energia per rimanere un passo avanti al nemico di Iskander.
