The Hyperfocus Café: A Cozy Fantasy LGBTQIA+ Romance with Neurodivergent Magic, Found Family, and a Grumpy Orc Herbalist

Rate this book
One spell of hyperfocus. One grumpy orc. Seven days to save a magical town.

When Ember Stormweave inherits a run-down café in the hidden sanctuary of Willowbrook, they think they’ve hit rock bottom—no plan, no support system, and no idea how to run a business with ADHD. But Willowbrook is no ordinary town. Here, neurodivergent magic isn’t just accepted—it’s essential.

After a chaotic spell goes sideways, Ember finds themselves magically tethered to Sage Thornsong, a reserved orc herbalist with a love for structure and a scowl that could curdle milk. Now the District Magical Authority demands proof of their magical compatibility—or they'll both lose their powers for good.

But as Ember and Sage attempt to fake magical harmony, their clashing personalities stir something unexpected. Their ADHD and Sage’s rigid routines might be more compatible than they thought—and the town’s fractured Connection Keystone just might depend on their unlikely bond.

Cute idea, but the same section repeats three times with almost the same words, to the point I thought I’d accidentally skipped back a chapter! But no. It’s just that bad. And there’s zero development in the romance, and a lot of telling and not much showing in general.
