The book explains Ayurvedic view of the physical body and it's characteristics. It also hints towards the basic elements for well-being. Though there are no mentions about any kinds of medications for health disruptions, it provides an overview of the system of Ayurvedic practice. Suggested for novice readers interested in knowing Ayurveda at a glance.
Knowledge of the precious Ayurveda deserves to be presented in this manner. I liked the simplicity and well-researched content of this creation. Modern health-conscious individuals must pick up such books to alter and mend their lifestyle. Depending on harmful pills can be dangerous for holistic health in the long term, and so, Ayurvedic herbs and extracts can be better choices for the humanity to depend upon.
A perfect introduction for anyone that is interested in learning about Ayurveda. The author has written a sensible easy to follow guide with a wealth of information. I enjoyed this book and found it very informative.
Having just heard of Ayruveda, I really wanted to find a book to tell me what Ayruveda is all about. Well, I found it! I'll keep this book on hand as I learn more and have questions. Easy to understand, great book for learning the basics
I am new to the vast education, knowledge, and practices of the Ayurveda community, and have been seeking a composition which speaks of history and its tie to the modern day and world of Ayurveda. For me, this work was a nice balance to get my journey started!
I chose my rating because ayurved is defined clearly in this book. The definition of ayurved along with it's branches are clearly put forth. This book is a great read for people who are entering or knocking on the doors of ayurved.
Definitely written for someone with zero knowledge of Ayurveda. For me it wasn’t anything I didn’t already know, so I’m sad I wasted an hour reading this book.
This was a simple, but great guide to Ayurveda. I've been aware of the discipline for a while, but I haven't really read much about it. This gave me a good foundation on the topic.
A quick, pamphlet length primer on Ayurveda, with a sample of a free book on Ayurvedic herbs in the back part of it. A decent overview of the topic, and a good place to begin.
The author has explained basics of Ayurveda in simple language. The information regarding medicinal properties of everyday kitchen spices is really useful.
