It was a good story as I absolutely love cosmic horror. The romance was Chinese. By Chinese I mean there was never anything between the characters. They were close I wouldnt even call it a friendship. Its was Chinese youd be like "ah" but the cosmic horror part was just omg it was an amazing trip. The chillest person was Luna the dang we baby lassy like get it boo. Dog I honestly was okay with the 1200 pages as cosmic horror need space to set up not the issue. I wanted a romance and I should have know even I think its kinda dumb to fit romance in cosmic horror as so much horrific stuff is happening honestly why bother. I expected not much to happen never expected anything explicit but absolutely no romance its just a really good cosmic horror story. Im not sure why it says gay romance not sure why stories now adays state its LGBT. It just sets som odd notions. Im actually laughing at how a few probably really came for the romance and just bailed as they got none of that( rightfully so its says gay romance first I just happen to also love cosmic horror). If you like cosmic horror this was a really good book. If you wanted a gay romance its nonexistent here its Chinese standards even though the cover of the book specifically state gay romance. Honestly if it were just a cosmic horror book 5 stars because legit off the cover made it seem the romance was first and the gay part to try to pull in the fan girls is why I placed it a 3. Most those types wouldn't even consider a book with out multiple sex part an actual romance where I honestly prefer that not even be a thing let alone them reading 1200 pages.
