For fans of the Ravyn Shaw series, follow this spinoff as Ravyn’s bestie Julie Montgomery navigates becoming a single mother after a nasty divorce leaves her financially strapped and emotionally drained. Julie tries dating in her 40s, only to discover the pitfalls and creeps in the online dating scene that has more perils than perks. Could her new love be as close as the next tennis court?
Game, Set, Matched is, ultimately, a wonderful love story. It explores the feelings, emotions, and financial difficulties of becoming single after divorce. Julie, the main character, experiences the perils of online dating as she navigates through a number of dates, some of which are disasters, all the while trying to prepare Ashley, one of her daughters for college. There was an element of suspense as the reader wondered whether Julie would find love and happiness after all. I enjoyed Game, Set, Matched and look forward to Lisa Schoolcraft’s next work.
