First off, I’m the author and it took me 8 years to finish this. Not a perfect book but I think it says something about God’s sovereignty and the problem we all deal with as people when it comes to pain.

The goal was to setup a “worst case scenario” situation and show how it could be used for good. Can’t think of too many things worse than a school shooting.

It’s ultimately a story about the real definition of love and overcoming fear.

Coping with pain and learning to suffer well isn’t an intellectual understanding. It’s a spiritual and emotional one.

My hope is that in 100 years people will look back and say this helped them draw nearer to the Lord.
