"You’re ours now, darling. Our sweet little prey. How does that make you feel?" After the unexpected death of my abusive husband, I did the only reasonable thing someone could possibly do when one was utterly broken and looking for direction.
I moved across the country and started over.
It worked in my favor, thankfully. I had a roof over my head, food on the table, and I was slowly starting to accept the fact that I would never be the same girl—the girl who thought romance and intimacy should be nothing but sunshine and fairy tales—again.
That version of Rory Vale died with him.
Instead, I was a girl who desired a unique sense of darkness. A girl who not only wanted to be chased and adored, but also hunted and owned.
The only hangup?
I had found two men who wanted to give me everything I could ever desire. Two Navy SEALs who knew exactly how to give me what I needed. But if I said yes to them—to us—then I would belong to them forevermore.
Because while they wanted a third, they also wanted… a family.
I love stories of survivors finding the love they deserve after escaping abusive relationships. ♥ All three of these characters were so sweet and lovable, and this is possibly my favorite depiction of a throuple I've ever read. Showing that boundaries and commitment exist within the polyamorous lifestyle, just like they do in monogamy, is so valuable when it comes to fighting against the assumptions and judgments a lot of people have about happy and healthy polyamorous relationships!
PREYLESS gets all the stars for it's spice which was absolutely on fire, but outside of that the story didn't make much sense so I have to rate this lower. It's just fiction so I know it doesn't need to be realistic and I don't even mind that this was insta-love at warp speed but the way the characters acted and the choices they made didn't come anywhere close to realistic considering their circumstances and past traumas. If you can ignore all of that and you're just looking for some spicy poly and primal play then you'd probably love this one.
On a positive note, I did like the individual characters and I loved seeing Rory find happiness again after an abusive relationship. In typical fashion for a lot of these MMF books, the previously established MM couple is mostly sidelined to focus on the woman so I do wish that had been better balanced. Points though for giving us a whimpering man, I do love that.
Content Warning: references to past abusive relationship
This one was quick and I mean really, really quick. It is of course a Novella and a side effect of that is that we don’t really have many pages to work with but the pacing was also super-fast. That being said, I think the author did handle this in such a way that we get just enough of a backstory of the characters for their motivations to make sense but I wish we we’re able to explore this more throughout, get into the nitty gritty of why these characters are the way they are. I think most of the concentration was on Rory, which I think was the right decision as her history was filled with trauma and aligns more with why she is the person she is today but I would of liked to see a little more of Aiden and Casey, how they got to where they are, How they came together and why they have these urges, even if I can see that this wasn’t as important.
When we start this story, we learn that Rory is basically reinventing herself after escaping an abusive situation, starting a new job at a hotel, essentially building her life from scratch. We then flip to Aiden and Casey, living their life as a couple discussing the possibility of looking for a little bit more in life. One thing I do want to mention is that despite the fact that both Aiden and Casey are Navy Seals, we don’t really see or hear anything of this other than them in uniform a few times. We then have a time jump, which I think was necessary as this has given Rory a little time to settle into her new life and build up a little more confidence in herself.
After the boys have decided they finally want to pursue more and Rory has decided she going to go after what she wants for herself, the trio meets on a kink app ‘Preyless’. Can I just say, the first initial in person meeting is perfect. I loved it and it is potentially my favourite part of the entire Novella. The boys we’re so sweet and chivalrous without ruining the illusion of the whole fantasy situation that has been set up. They calmed her worries without even knowing what they were. The spicy scenes were hot; I have no complaints but I do have a little bit of a yearning for a full mmf scene. I think maybe I just expected this with the dynamics that we’re going on so I was more surprised that there wasn’t one more than anything else.
Overall, This was a solid Novella. I feel like I say this constantly but I wish this story had more time. These characters had such a potential and I think this length of story did not give them enough leg room. It was enough but barley. That being said I had a good time reading this throughout, I read it in one sitting in about an hour and I do now have a carinal need to read more from this author. Thankyou C.S.Silverne for providing me with an arc copy of your Novella! It was an absolute trip!
Holy frick on a stick. I feel like I need to take a bath in holy water after reading this little beauty! This is a short smut filled MMF read that is superb! When a book has content warnings that go over a page, you know it’s gonna be a keeper. I DEMOLISHED this book and will definitely be going back to read the authors other works. If you love MMF, primal play and breeding kinks mixed with laugh out loud humour then get this booked added to your TBR list now!! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
ARC Review Woahhhh 🥵 I was so excited to get a chance to read this book and I was not disappointed. This was everything I look for in a novella! I binged it within a few hours of downloading it and I’m so sad it’s over. I need more of Rory, Aiden and Casey asap! The spice was spicinggg and had just the right amount for a shorter read. 🌶️ This book definitely has some triggers that she shares in the beginning for those that have any.
Thank you to Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to listen to an Advanced Listening Copy (ALC). All thoughts are my own.
After moving across the country to start her life over, she joins a unique dating app called Preyless. She didn't think she'd meet anyone, much less two people that were exactly what she was looking for. Aiden and Casey are looking to invite a third person into their relationship, with the eventual goal of starting a family some day.
I loved reading the MM scenes and loved the spicy scenes even more when they became MMF! This book is heavy on the breeding k!nk, so please be mindful of that when going in. While there is some brief plot, this is much more a steamy read and it sounds like this throuple makes an appearance in other books in this series.
Side note: The epilogue was kind of funny with the mention of Rory being a book girlie and obtaining "shelf trophies."
Perfect for fans of: 🦋 MMF — Polyamorous Ménage 🖤 MM couple wanting to start a family 🦋 Navy SEAL Men 🖤 Age Gap (12 & 14 years) 🦋 Meet cute on sm!nk app 🖤 Tortured heroine healing through sm!nk 🦋 Primal Play 🖤 Knife Play 🦋 Intoxication Play/Whiskey Spitting 🖤 Tactical Gear Sm!nk/Masked Men 🦋 Br33ding
This was such a short but sweet little read. I love when a book is to the point. It gives you enough to be invested but your not left without proper closure. This book was about a couple of Navy Seals who are in love with each other but they are missing a key link to their life. They go on a dating app to find the person that is meant to complete their polycule. Our main fmc has escaped a tragic and traumatic past. She is learning to navigate her new life. The only thing she is missing is the spice that she is craving. Lets just say fate works in mysterious ways. I think it was so refreshing that everyone in the story finally got what they were missing. They found comfort in each other but also learned to live with their pasts and embrace a bright future. The author did a fantastic job with developing this short story. She did not leave you missing key pieces and the story was meant to be instaloveish. If you like a good short story with military men who are perfect then this is the story for you.
Well someone just turned the temperature up in here 🔥🔥🔥 Preyless is a great book when you want all the spice and a little Preyless follows two Navy Seals in their quest to find a third person for their relationship, enter Rory, who is rebuilding her life after the death of her abusive partner. If you enjoy novellas that start with spicy scenes pretty early on and give you all the details then this is the book for you!
After reading lots of sweet romance book this is exactly what I needed.
C. S Silverne does it again with another amazing dark romance novella! This ripped me right back from the edge of a book slump. I personally would say that this is on the lighter side of dark romance however there are themes that happen that could potentially trigger someone so please check your trigger warnings. The fmc has previously had a horrific relationship and wants to safely have positive new experiences when our mmcs who have felt like they have a missing piece come across her and agree to give her those experiences. This was such a good read and I enjoyed it so much!

Yeah okay holy freak she came and she served. This was amazing. This was a smoke show. I needed to fan. How she writes such impactful backgrounds and full stories in a novella is amazing. When you pick this one up just now you are already on the patch to fall in love with them all. AndI wouldn’t want it any other way.
Great read with lots and lots of spice. I loved the games they played with one another and the devotion they had. I enjoyed seeing them all fall for one another
It was a good fun read to just binge. I did find a few of the lines in the book a bit cringe but besides that overall, it was just a really fun spicy read! 🎀
this cover KILLS me. “pretty girl” will always be a favorite 🥹 this girl healing from trauma on her own terms? hell yeah. it was not a wholesome read though…pure unadulterated smut here.
I devoured this book in under two hours, and honestly that says it all, doesn’t it? Every time I pick up something by C.S. Silverne, I know I’m in for characters that captivate me, stories that hook me and writing that pulls me straight into the world she creates. Preyless was no exception!
From the very first chapter, I was completely absorbed. The deep dive into Rory’s life before meeting her men was raw and emotional. I felt such a strong connection to her and found myself rooting for her every step of the way.
Then came Aiden and Casey. Their introduction was stunning - intense, heartfelt and beautifully written. The bond between them radiates through both their words and silences, it’s love, devotion and partnership all in one. And when Rory enters their world… everything just clicks. The missing piece finally found.
Nothing ever feels rushed or forced. Everything falls naturally into place, like the universe aligning to bring them together exactly when they needed it most, just three souls who were meant to find each other. The chemistry between the three of them is magnetic, their connection both tender and scorching.
And that epilogue? Perfect. The glimpse into their future felt like a promise fulfilled — the solid, secure love that had been building from the start. Seeing the story through each of their POVs only deepened that sense of devotion and adoration between them.
The epilogue wrapped everything up beautifully, giving us that glimpse of forever that makes your heart ache in the best way. I’ll be thinking about this trio for a long time, and honestly, I wouldn’t complain if we got a full-length novel in this world one day.

Preyless, written by C.S. Silverne and brought to life through dual narration by Marina Craven and Ash Beverly, is a remarkably quick and engaging listen. As a self-proclaimed book goblin who devours stories and rarely rates anything below five stars, this particular audiobook did give me pause, though it still ultimately earned a solid four stars. While the plot is captivating, I found myself connecting much faster to the female protagonist than to the male characters, which occasionally left me feeling a bit lost in the narrative.
That disconnect was slightly amplified by the audio production. I deeply appreciate the immense hard work that voice actors do, but during the female-narrated chapters, I found it difficult to distinguish between the characters' voices.
Despite those minor hurdles, the underlying story is incredibly compelling. It follows Rory Vale, who moves across the country to start over after the unexpected death of her abusive husband. In rebuilding her life, Rory accepts that she is no longer the girl who believes in fairy-tale romance; instead, she discovers a desire to be chased, hunted, and owned. This leads her to two Navy SEALs who are ready to offer her the exact brand of dark devotion she craves, provided she is ready to commit to them—and the family they want to build—forever.
Ultimately, the sheer amount of work and passion poured into bringing Rory’s journey to life makes it well worth the listen, delivering a romance that is as intense as it is transformative.

I have a massive sweet spot for Navy men, bi men, throuples and this book delivered in the best way possible. At its core, this is a beautiful story about a survivor finding the love, safety, and happiness she truly deserves after escaping an abusive relationship. The established MM couple at the start of the book was fantastic, and watching all three of these incredibly sweet, lovable characters come together was perfection.
Honestly, this might be my favorite depiction of a throuple I’ve ever read. I love that it showcases how boundaries, deep commitment, and respect exist within a polyamorous lifestyle, just as they do in monogamy. It’s such a valuable, healthy representation that fights right back against the judgments people often have about polyamorous relationships.
But let’s talk about the steam—because the spice level here is a solid 5/5 stars. It is scorching hot, uniquely kinky, and utterly addictive!
Perfect for fans of: MMF — Polyamorous Ménage * Established MM couple wanting to start a family * Navy SEAL Men * Age Gap * Meet on an app * Tortured heroine healing * Primal Play & Knife Play * Whiskey Spitting play * Breeding
I need more throuple books in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Preyless is a quick and dirty novella that brings us Rory, a woman who moved across the country after the unexpected death of her abusive husband, and Aiden and Casey, two military men who are already together when they meet Rory on a spicy app.
This novella is exactly what it says on the tin. Rory is looking for a new connection a year after she moved across the country and enjoys her relationships on the spicier side, so when she is contacted by Aiden and Casey on the app, it's a no brainer.
This novella is absolutely insta love/ lust once Rory joins the party and boy is it spicy. I love an MMF so much, and this absolutely gave what it promised. Rory was a great addition to Aiden and Casey. This novella is absolutely mostly smut, but it's a 3 hour audiobook and a great time if you're looking for something quick and filthy.
Make sure you check your triggers, because there are a lot of them. I will say I didn't LOVE that they were trying to get her pregnant the first time (and not really a breeding kink only, at least it didn't seem that way) that they got together, but I guess it did work for their storyline, because all of them were really desperate for each other and a family and eventually that came later, much later actually.
Ash Beverly and Marina Craven did a wonderful job with the narration, and I loved hearing them read the characters. Thank you so much for the ALC, Luna Literary!

Preyless was a quick, spicy novella that fully embraced the “plot what plot” energy in the best way. Rory is rebuilding herself after an abusive marriage where danger, fear, and forced situations became twisted into what she associated with intimacy. Now, she still craves that same adrenaline and taboo edge, but on her own terms, wanting to be a willing participant instead of being controlled. Through a kink app, she connects with two men looking to add a third to their relationship and eventually start a family, and the dynamic between them develops quickly but still feels caring and intentional.
This novella packs in a lot with masked stalking, daddy kink, breeding, and primal play, while still keeping consent and communication central to the story. I especially loved the anticipation and care shown toward Rory as she explored these dynamics in a safe and wanted way. The relationship develops fast, but there is still a softness underneath all the spice that made it easy to enjoy.
Overall, this was a fun, dirty, fast-paced read that delivered exactly what it promised. I would honestly love to see this expanded into a longer, more fully developed story because the characters and dynamics had a lot of potential.
Preyless is the story of Rory, Aiden and Casey. This is a MMF why choose, kink, primal play romance with some dark themes so please check the content warnings prior to reading.
Rory was abused by her ex-husband and after his untimely death due to a drunk driver, she moves across the country to start a new life. One year later, she is looking for someone to share her darker desires with and comes across not one man but two men who are in a committed relationship but who are looking for a third partner to complete their relationship and maybe even more.
This was a short, spicy novella that drew you in with Rory's tragic backstory as well as the story of Casey and Aiden. The chemistry between Casey and Aiden was smoking hot and the primal play scenes with Rory turned it nuclear. There was an instant connection when Rory started messaging Aiden and Casey and their in person connection was even stronger. While it was a short read, I enjoyed how the author was able to round out the story in a well deserved HEA for all three characters.
If you are looking for a HOT as Hades, short novella with tons of chemistry, emotions and connection then this is the book for you. I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving an honest review to show my appreciation.
Is it 𝐅*𝐂𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 hot in here?! Or is it just C.S. Silverne's newest release setting my entire soul aflame... I think the answer is a definite 𝐘𝐄𝐒, 𝐘𝐄𝐒, 𝐘𝐄𝐒!!!
If there is 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 that I can 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 count on — it's the author's ability to take me out of a book funk with one of her delicious lil' tales! Once again, I found myself completely enthralled by her unique characters and breathtakingly beautiful storytelling capabilities. This story was inhaled within an hour and was the perfect treat at the start my day (before work I might add). Getting lost amongst the pages of one of her stories is a place I 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 want to be and 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 leave.
𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 was an addictively SPICY read and explores some of the best kinks out there featuring a Polyamorous Ménage (MMF) with two dominate Navy SEALs (Aiden & Casey) who are looking for a third to add to their relationship and a tortured heroine (Rory) who's trying to heal herself after an abusive relationship. These characters had me in a chokehold and I was 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 for every second of it — and surely so will 𝐘𝐎𝐔!
WOW! I jumped into this one because I have the ARC for Clueless, and just knew this series would be something that I would devour and love!
I was hooked from the prologue! The dynamic between these 3 characters was FIRE! From the meet cute online to their first face to face meeting at the hotel our FMC Rory works at was EVERYTHING! When they used her nick names and brought her flowers and then went one to have their moment in the woods was 🥵
Aiden, Casey and Rory were SPECTACULAR! The KINKs and the exploration and the way they all fell and fell hard was a next level beautiful, especially knowing about Rory’s past. The relationship that Aiden and Casey had from the start was beautiful too, but they knew they needed to find their final piece to their puzzle.

This MMF polyamorous ménage novella is definitely a “the spice is the plot” kinda book and I’m not mad about it. Admittedly I did come for the tropes (and the spice), but I would have loved a bit more backstory about Aiden and Casey’s relationship before meeting Rory.
The narrators did a good job adding depth to the characters and the story. I always enjoy Ash Beverly and he did a great job portraying both Aiden and Casey. Marina Craven is a new to me narrator, and I enjoyed the emotion she brought to her performance of Rory.

This book was about a couple of Navy Seals who are in love with each other. Yet, they feel as if they’re missing something in their life. They turn to a kink app as they have very particular kinks. On the app, they meet Rory, who's looking for a man/men in real life. She’s wanting someone to help her through some things in her past.

I would rate this story and performance 4⭐️
This was a short and sweet listen. And it was as advertised, a novella following 2 boyfriends looking for their princess. The smut and kinks were the plot, but a small amount of backstory was provided for some context. I think C. S. Silverne did a great job being very succinct but also giving some hot spice. Also I have been waiting for the exact scene at the end to be written!
Both Marina Craven and Ash Beverly did a great job bringing the characters to life. I usually listen to my audiobooks on 1.7x speed and did find that I had to slow this one down, so the pacing and cadence of the narration is a bit quicker than most other audiobooks. I appreciate the use of auditory actions such as the clicking and the actually “screaming” when it’s mentions a character screams. Makes the audio that much more realistic.
Overall I enjoyed this novella and audio that experience!
Genre: MMF Kinks: Primal play, breeding kink, dom/sub dynamics (to name a few) Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was my first C.S. Silverne read and it absolutely won’t be my last. The emotional healing, the unapologetic kink, the military grade devotion it all hit. Hard. If you love MMF with depth, danger, and dirty talk, Preyless is your next read.
These Navy SEALs are already lovers, but something’s missing. Enter Rory... grieving, guarded, and desperate for connection. Her decision to join the kink app Preyless is on a whim “an absolute act of desperation for some kind of human companionship.” And oh, does she find it!
The dom/sub dynamics are intense but tender. The primal play? Ferocious and freeing. And the breeding kink? Oh my lanta! And they way they care about her. *swoon*
ALC Review Dual Narration by Marina Craven and Ash Beverly 3.5 ⭐
Tropes: MMF Age Gap Navy SEALs / Military Healing from Trauma Primal Play Found Family
After her abusive husband passes away, Rory Vale relocates to start over. Through her healing process, she discovers that her desires have shifted; she no longer wants traditional fairy-tale romance, but craves a dark, consuming dynamic where she is chased and owned. Enter Aiden and Casey, two Navy SEALs who are ready to fulfill every dark fantasy she possesses—but accepting them means committing to a permanent, shared future and an unconventional family.
Marina Craven and Ash Beverly together, they make the intense chemistry between Rory, Aiden and Casey palpable.
A huge thank you to Luna Literary and the author for this ALC.
This was a short, filthy and enjoyable read! I love a good healing through keenk love story, and this one was a ton of fun! I know the point of a novella is for it to be short and sweet/filthy, but this one seemed rushed at the end. I was listening while working and enjoying the story and then BAM, epilogue. We had just gotten the history of what happened to her and her sharing it with her guys and then it was done. I wish we would have gotten a bit more of their dynamic post first night together running through the woods before jumping to epilogue.
Ash Beverly and Marina Craven narrated this audiobook. I wasn't a huge fan of their alternate voices, but I still enjoyed this listen and thought it elevated the reading experience.
Thank you, CS Silverne and Luna Literary, for an advanced copy of this audiobook.
