After reading Author Antwan Floyd's book Piece Keeper, I was so impressed that I decided to check out his other literary works. Dope Fiction: Alpha Female is another one of his great books that definitely kept me engaged. The characters felt so real and life like and were very well developed. I felt as though I was watching an action movie, but in the form of a book that kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat. I found myself torn between wanting to love and hate certain characters or respecting them for their well played positions in the story. I love the depth and complexity that the character Cheyenne was written with. Cheyenne is a potent force not to be played with, from mental and physical agility, to her superior top notch fighting skills. She stays a step ahead of everyone which always gives her the upper advantage in every situation and every demise. She is filled with rage and revenge and has a hit list to match where she takes no prisoners and leaves behind nothing but bodies. Part 1 left me with an immediate intense craving for part 2. You will not be able to put this book down, definitely another great read that does not disappoint!

Definitely Not Predictable!!

This Book keeps you guessing with each page. The storyline line keeps you intrigued and uncovering the details of the past twenty years flows nicely with the turmoil going on in their lives. I love that characters are not spared to prolong the story. He keeps the action going and it was hard to put the book down!!

Good read

Life in the hood. One escapes, and gets into politics. One released from prison. Two others, just out there. Crooked cops, drug deals gone wrong and murders. Needs a proofreader. That is why I gave it a four.

I'm in the middle on this story. It's not the best but it's not the worst. I'm confused about some parts and even read some parts more than once. I will read book 2 to see if gives me a better understanding of this story. Be on the lookout for my review of book 2.

Dope Fiction: Alpha Female by Author Antwan Floyd Sr. is not your average story. I would classify this book as being in the crime & suspense/thriller genre. Mr. Floyd’s word choice enhances each aspect of this description. The way he can captivate and keep your attention from the beginning is one of the main things that I look for when reading any genre of book. It is an art to writing in a way that keeps the reader engaged in the storyline. Many authors are not able to do this on a consistent basis, which is why I appreciate the author’s efforts. Another thing that I look for is editing. Within this book, there were a few places with misspelled words. However, I found them to be minimal and not take away from the storyline. Also, the cover of this book enhanced the suspense and expectation of what to come from the book. Many book covers do not come close to depicting anything relating to the storyline that for some can give a false impression, but I feel this was exactly the right one.

Cheyenne (Ms. Revenge): She is out for blood, and once you are in her presence it is usually too late. I liked her character for some reason. I felt like she wanted to make everyone suffer like she did over the years, and it didn’t matter how they suffered as long as they experienced pain. Everyone has a breaking point and when you cross someone in the worse possible way can you be mad that they want revenge?

Danesha (Ms. Narcissistic): She was so self-centered and thought that no harm could come to her. No one is invincible despite how much you think you are or who your connections are. All it takes is one slip up, and it can be all gone. She felt because of where she came from and the profession she is in that she has the best of both worlds. I wonder what is going to happen to her since it can all come crashing down because of careless actions and tarnished relationships.

I don’t want to give too much away from the other characters so I will end this here. I am excited to see what is in store for part two. Will the saga continue? Will the truth be exposed? Will have to wait in see…. If you are considering reading this book, you definitely should. You will not be disappointed…

I was confused at first but as I kept reading. It started off okay but I still found it to be not clear on where this story was going. To many characters and secrets
