Inhuman Natures #2

Survival Instinct

Rate this book
Kit’s vampiric creator is dead, but he’s still running from the nightmares.

On one full moon in the little Scottish town Kit calls his own, he crosses paths with an annoyingly attractive werewolf who won’t leave him alone. Kit’s spent decades alone, but solitude is no longer preferable when faced with Quin’s insistently sweet and caring nature.

After experiencing heartbreak, Quin left his pack behind for a fresh start. He wasn’t looking for romance, so he certainly wasn’t expecting his beast to latch on to the irresistible-smelling vampire with sharp fangs and a sharper tongue.

So begins a supernatural courtship full of dad(dy) jokes, terrible cups of tea, late-night dog walks, and battles with the local vampire nest.

When Kit’s nightmares bleed into the real world, they threaten more than just Kit and Quin’s budding relationship. To have a future together, they’ll need to return to where Kit’s story began all those years ago.

Their survival instincts might have kept them safe until now, but even that might not be enough when facing the ghosts of Kit’s past.

Survival Instinct is an MM paranormal romance between a prickly vampire and his kind-hearted werewolf. Set on the East Coast of Scotland, Survival Instinct features a sweet love story against a dark and kinky background, along with some familiar faces.

Safety info, content warnings and tropes down below.

A new-to-me author I’m very glad I tried! The writing was great and the humor really worked for me, and I really enjoyed reading it. It lost steam in the middle for a bit, but even with that I never lost interest in the story and finished it quite quickly. Both characters were sweet and loveable. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy paranormal stories that are a little bit dark and tragic character backgrounds, but with a really sweet and wholesome relationship (daddy kink included).

Speaking of, this is probably my favorite type of daddy/boy dynamic. It's super mild to be fair, but all Quin wants to do is spoil and care for Kit, and Kit loves it.

My only issue with it was the epilogue being from a minor side character’s POV, which just might be the ultimate epilogue sin. There was no reason for it.

Aaanyway. Really enjoyed it and will read more from this author for sure.

This time, Kit stopped the werewolf before it licked him again, hand pushing its face away. “No,” he warned. “No more licking. It’s disgusting.” Now the werewolf looked abashed.

“Just thought we could go on a walk or something. Didn’t realise there was an age limit on that.”
“I—What?” Kit asked, incredulous. “You want me to take you on a walk? Like a literal dog?”
“Wait, no, not like that,” Quin said. “For a walk together,” he stressed.
“All I’m hearing is that you’d like to go walkies.”

“Daddy, my mouth.”
Quin stilled, concern in his eyes. “What about it, baby?”
“It’s… empty.” Kit opened his mouth wide, showing Quin what he meant. Quin reached over and stuck his pointer finger into Kit’s mouth, pressing down on his tongue. Kit closed his mouth and hummed. It was so much better than sticking his own finger in there. “You have a bit of an oral fixation, don’t you, baby boy?”

“Someone is feeling needy,” Quin said once they were tucked back up in bed. The fresh sheets were soft on Kit’s skin as he stretched out.
“I don’t know what you’re referring to.” Quin looked down to where Kit pressed every inch of his body to Quin’s.
“No, of course not. I’m obviously making it all up.”

From book 1, our grumpy loner Kit was just begging to have his own story, and it’s finally here. Kit should be moving on after his evil maker, Lawrence, has finally been defeated. Yet, he keeps feeling lethargic and awful. That is, until he meets a furry werewolf while he’s out in the forest. What starts as a shocking encounter turns into a blooming connection between Kit and Quin, the aforementioned were. Together, they must face the ghosts of Kit’s past before they can be together comfortably.

This book has:
-vampire x werewolf
-some dark themes (check TW)
-but also some really funny dialogue (say thank you, DJ)
-daddy / boy dynamic (lite)
-a cute doggie
-the characters from book 1 as side characters
-more paranormal fun
-a kind-of orgy scene 👀

My favourite part about this book is that it expands on the lore from book 1. This book isn’t just about vampires, but there are witches, werewolves, and more! This expansion was interesting to read about, and new elements were introduced.

Kit and Quin are very cute. They start cute and stay cute for the whole journey! Kit is a grump, but also just desperately needs to be loved 🥹 Quin is a bit over the top, but in a very endearing way. These two dance to the beat of their own drum, and quickly fall into a dynamic that works perfectly for them both.

In terms of plot, the storyline is straightforward. I immediately caught on to what the plot was going to be within the first chapter, but it was still fun to see how our protagonists were going to deal with their issue. I felt some of the side characters were mostly there as plot devices. However, I absolutely adored how much we got to see our MCs from book one. Shaun, Rake and (especially) DJ provided comic relief, fun banter, and extra support for the story!

This was an enjoyable addition to book one! If you love a fun paranormal world and enjoyed the characters from book 1, then definitely pick this one up!

This book is heavy, haunting, and deeply emotional.

Kit’s story is heartbreaking without being gratuitous, and Marra handles trauma with care while still letting it hit hard.

You feel the weight of Kit’s past in every choice he makes, and every wall he keeps firmly in place.

The dynamic between Kit and Quin is a slow-burn masterpiece. Their first encounter is tense and unforgettable, and from there the story builds a connection that feels cautious, earned, and incredibly human despite the supernatural elements.

Quin’s gentleness contrasted with Kit’s sharp edges was everything I needed.

This is not a light read, but it is a powerful one.
If you love emotionally complex characters, found connection, and paranormal stories that actually have depth, this one is absolutely worth your time.

Arc review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Kit finally gets his HEA, and finds everything he ever needed in Quin, a cinnamon roll werewolf daddy who’ll do anything for his little vampire.

As per, Marra takes us on a rollercoaster of drama in a book that’s equal parts romance, comedy and angst, it’s hard to not get sucked in once you start reading.

A great sequel to Inhuman Nature, and I can guarantee Marra Moore will be on my “must read” authors list for any future publications 🦇

Got the ARC copy of this book!

I loved Kit in the first book so i was thrilled to see him getting his story told in this one!!

Bratty and sassy Kit, who has been alone for years and is being haunted by his past comes across a Werewolf in his hometown.

And sweet and caring Quinn, a werewolf who left his pack ,smells Kit while running under the full moon and is instantly drawn to him! Quinn can’t seem to stay away from Kit but is his gentle and caring nature enough to convince Kit he’s worthy of love ?

This book was full of action, plot twists , supernatural beings and the right amount of spice !

We also get a visit from our favorite Triad : Shaun, DJ and Rake !

I loved this book , it was as amazing as the first! And Marra sure knows how to keep you at the edge of your seat !

*happy sigh* Quin and Kit. I thought these two were absolutely gorgeous together and found myself smiling at most of their interactions. And I smiled even wider whenever Quin was being adorably awkward or just plain sweet – which did pretty much mean I had a big grin on my face whenever he was just his wonderful self…

Okay, yes, so I was smiling a lot, and chuckling at their back and forths, especially when they were talking about something completely ridiculous or outrageous. From their first unexpectedly cute meeting (of course Kit would pet the werewolf after referring to his rather large member), to Operation Apologise-to-Kit, I was absolutely besotted by these two. I could not think of a more perfect partner for our beloved prickly vampire.

Kit’s sarcasm has always been one of my favourite qualities about him but seeing how much he cares about those he loves, including animals, meant he was guaranteed a permanent place in my heart. His loneliness and desire to have someone of his own, after keeping everyone at a distance for so long, made me hope upon hope that he would find someone who could crack his tough outer shell.

My favourite thing about our werewolf? That Quin appreciates everything about Kit. He treasures every smile – no matter how small – every nugget of even the most insignificant information about Kit’s life, and every time the vamp lowers his defences a little more. Quin’s genuine joy at seeing Kit open up and trust him a little more every time they spent time together made my heart stupidly happy. I loved that his infectious happiness adds such light to Kit’s life. As if I wasn’t swooning enough for the gentle giant already!

The light daddy/boy dynamic between these two gave Kit the opportunity to embrace his bratty yet eager-to-please side, and I was all for it. He absolutely needed someone to look after him, and this added to the real sense of home and comfort vibes that this book exuded. It had a genuine warmth to it that was hard not to get lost in.

But it isn’t all rainbows and sunshine for this couple, and the book gave us action and angst too, with past problems coming back to haunt them. Kit and Quin will get their HEA but not before fully appreciating what they have and could lose before that.

Kit needed an epic love, and he certainly found that. Seeing our stubborn boy open his heart and find a home where he felt safe for the first time was everything.

And, don’t worry, if you loved Shaun, DT and Rake from the first book, you’ll get your fix of them here. You probably could guess that the ‘borgy’ nickname is a DJ special!

Some of my favourite quotes

“I would say I won’t judge, but we’re both aware that would be a lie,”

“I think I’m supposed to say you looked cute, but you kinda resembled a mini-Sasquatch.” “Sage used to call me Quinbacca.”

“I think you have a lot of love, actually.” “Oh?” “You love watching the waves. You love collecting sea glass. And you love giving Mabel treats behind my back when you assume I won’t notice. That’s all love.”

“I mean, I’d like to be more than friends, if I’m honest. But I’ll settle for friends if that’s all that you want. I’ll take what I can get with you, Kit. Whatever you’re willing to give me.”

“It’s not like I’d die if I did it. Kit, come on. You’re stubborn, but you’re not that stubborn.” “I’d argue that I very much am that stubborn.”

“Believe me when I say that nobody other than you comes close to having a shot with me. Kit, I’m in. For everything. I’d prefer there to be no more attempts on my life, but I’ll take that if it means getting to be with you.”

Quin’s affection was like the sun on the first day of spring: warm and comforting. It was something to close your eyes to and bask in, something oh-so-welcome after the long chill of winter. It was a new beginning.

“You are so, so loved, Kit. You deserve it.” “Do I?” “You do. But even if you didn’t, I’d love you, anyway.”

“I love you. Now please, can we stop talking about emotional shit and lie in silence?” “Of course, my cute-little-vampire-boyfriend-who-loves-me.”

“I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather spend forever with.”

ALL. OF. THE. STARS.
I am obsessed with this series. I couldn’t put it down for a second! It’s everything I crave in a paranormal romance: vampires, werewolves, witches, kink clubs, and a whole lot of heart. The moment I started reading, I was hooked. I’m talking up all night, can’t put my kindle down..

If you love your pnr with a generous dose of hurt/comfort, beautifully tender relationships, high-stakes action, and surprisingly sweet and tender kink, this series delivers on every front. The characters are gorgeously complex.. broken boys with haunted pasts who find healing in the arms of the gentlest, most loving partners. Watching them fall for each other absolutely wrecked me in the best way.

This is the kind of story that wraps around your heart and doesn’t let go. It’s dark, sweet, sexy, funny, and full of moments I already know I’ll be rereading again and again.

Because I read these books back to back- I’m leaving the same review for both. But they’re both such great stories, and I can’t wait to see what Marra does next!

This was so good! I have been intrigued by Kit since he popped up in book one and I was happy we got to know more about him. Kit just like Shaun (book one) had a heartbreaking history. He was forced into a life no one deserves for multiple years and eventually decided a life of solitude was for the best once he finally broke free, pushing away those who currently care about him. Quin had also decided solitude was for the better until he came across Kit. These two were great for one another. Kit challenged Quin and Quin rose to the occasion every time. He was patient, caring and steadfast in his feelings for Kit which is exactly was Kit needed from him. I loved their relationship development. The banter was great and Shaun, DJ and Rake are always a good time. I’m really hoping we get Sage’s story next! I’m wondering if we’ve already met a potential partner as well?! Maybe in a certain witch?! Oh I hope so!!!

-HEA

Likes:
-The banter/teasing is perfect
-Quin is so sweet/thoughtful and takes such good care of Kit
-I love Kit's grumpy/bratty personality and how it didn't deter Quin in the slightest
-Character relationship dynamics work so well, the side characters were also so well written
-Perfect balance of focusing on the character's relationship and the climatic drama
-I could connect and empathize with the characters very quickly
-The spicy scenes were elite and the friend group was hilarious
-The cactus

Quotes:
-"If he stayed alone, then nobody could ever hurt him again"
-"Kit was so over being adorable"

-"Fuck dignity, Kit didn't need it"
-"He's not my sub. He's my perfect little baby boy who's never done anything wrong in his life"

This is the first book I am reading from this author, but the second book in the series. This can be read as a standalone but I suggest starting with book one. I will definitely be reading book one because I loved this book so much. I could feel Quin's and Kit's love for one another pouring off the page. I loved the characters and how the story focuses a lot on the MCs relationship and isn't over shadowed by the drama/villain. Sweet/hurt characters are my favorite to read because I love seeing them get a happy ending. This story provides that and more. I highly recommend giving this book a read, especially if you love funny, sweet paranormal characters fighting against the odds to have their Happily Ever After.

First of all, I have to say that I haven’t read Inhuman Nature, so I went into this story completely blind, without knowing the characters at all.
But! What this book gave me exceeded every single expectation I had.

Because it wasn’t just the characters or the dialogue that were perfect — the story itself was, too.
From the very first moment I met Kit, I was obsessed with him: his sarcasm, his prickly little cactus personality, all of it used as a shield to hide the decades of trauma and pain he’s been forced to endure.

And then Quin the werewolf enters the picture, who is completely gone for Kit from the very first moment. I will never forget their first meeting — Quin was so incredibly sweet, especially the way he tried to befriend Kit 🥹 I absolutely loved how protective and caring Quin was toward him, and how his persistence eventually paid off 🤩

The dynamic between the two of them was sweet, funny, heartwarming, and if I had to describe it with just one word, it would be: perfect.

When the main source of conflict appeared in the story, I almost literally fell off my chair, like: wait—WHAT??? 👀
The entire book was written so damn well that one moment I was crying from laughter or completely melting because the boys were so sweet, and the next I was chewing my nails down to the bone from worry. And every time I thought okay, now we’re finally there! — I had to realize… nope, not yet 😓

One thing I also want to highlight: even though I’m usually not a fan of sharing scenes, orgies, or borgies (the latter appears in this book), here it somehow worked perfectly because of the boys’ personalities. It came together beautifully — and it was very, very hot 🥵🔥

To sum it up: if you love paranormal books filled with romance, angst, laughter, and steamy scenes, then this book is absolutely for you.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest opinion.

"Surety, safety, security. He felt it all, but Quin’s love the most." - Kit

"Quin balanced Kit, and Kit did the same for him." - Quin

Kit was made into a vampire by the same vampire as Shaun's; they share a lot of the same experiences, and I'm glad that their connection grew more in this book. Kit has a hard time with letting other people in because of what he's been through, but he saw a werewolf one night, and that's when it all changed for him. Quin is a very sweet werewolf who moved here alone with his dog, Mabel. He wanted to know more about this vampire named Kit. I love that Quin understood that Kit needed time and that he was always reassuring and gentle with him; he made sure that Kit knew that he was always there to listen and that he always had a choice. Kit made Quin tea, and I especially loved those moments where they could just talk.

There were things going on in Kit's sleep, and eventually Quin noticed that too, and then they realized that they needed to find help. There were also lots of moments with Shaun, DJ & Rake because they are part of the story as well. There are ghosts and witches and Quin's cousin Sage, who I really want to know more about, and I'm also very interested in Xavier. The dynamic is different between Quin and Kit than the characters in the first book (Inhuman Nature), and it totally felt right for Quin and Kit. It's so important that Kit's voice was always heard, and Quin did everything to keep him safe and make him feel loved, just like he always wanted. I'm so glad that they have found each other!

There are not enough words for me to describe how much I love this book. The characters, the dialogue, the storyline — it was absolute perfection! As soon as we met Kit in Inhuman Nature, I knew that I desperately needed a book for him, and Survival Instinct did not disappoint.

Kit, a vampire, uses his snark and prickliness to hide his hurt and trauma. Quin, a werewolf, has the overwhelming instinct to protect and provide for the peevish vampire. Neither one seems able to stay away from each other. Their dynamic is precious, playful, and completely heartwarming.

In contrast, the conflict in this book is tense and had me on the edge of my seat. Marra Moore is so talented at having me laughing and swooning one minute and terrified for these boys the next. It’s hard to believe this is only her second published novel, but she’s quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

If you like paranormal romances with angst, a lot of laughter, and a steaming hot “borgy” (trust me on this), you have to read this book. Marra hit it out of the park! In the meantime, I’ll be (im)patiently waiting for the next book in this series (maybe a certain quippy, flirty witch will make a reappearance? *fingers crossed*)

Marra, you already know I blew up your DMs with my live reactions, so I’m here to reiterate how much I absolutely LOVED Survival Instinct!

I had the amazing opportunity to ARC both Inhuman Nature and now Survival Instinct, and honestly, it just keeps getting better.

I’ve been enamored with our prickly cactus boy kit since his introduction in Inhuman Nature, and I had been eagerly awaiting his story. It did not disappoint. Now we get to meet Quinn—a lovable, endearing werewolf who loves idioms (a wolf after my own heart!). Not only does he speak Kit’s first language (sarcasm), but he’s also fluent in his second (snark). These two are absolutely perfect for each other!

Their story is full of fun, laughter, healing, a smidgen of trauma and danger—overall, a perfect read.
And we can’t forget the cameos from past characters and the introduction of some fantastic side characters I cannot wait to get more of, like Sage (I’m so ready for his story!) and Xavier, the king of main character energy.

From Borgys to witchy jewelry, to collecting sea glass and road trips filled with DJ singing Hamilton, this was an absolute blast to read.

A captivating story about a black cat vampire with a traumatic past and a heartbroken golden retriever werewolf who is a walking green flag. Okay, so this was kinda dark, *please read the trigger warnings before reading*, super adorably adorable, a paranormal adventure of the best kind, an annoying ex who sucks, a sweet triad of vampires who like to "borgy" & a darling little Cocker spaniel! It had banter, humour, sarcasm. Everything I love!
Anywaaay, this book starts 40 years earlier about a boy in Scotland who doesn't really fit in with anyone other than his twin. Then the unimaginable happens. Fast forward 40 years and Kit hasn't aged a day past his 18th birthday. Still suffering through his trauma and doesn't see a light at the end of it all until he accidentally stumbles upon a shifted werewolf under a full moon, where his life changes and begins to believe his life might not so bad after all.

I loved this book. I do need to go back and read the first book in the series. But thank you for trusting me to read your book early!

I loved this. I didn't know I needed a vampire boy and his wolf-shifter Daddy, but I absolutely did. I don't even think I've read Daddy kink with PNR before, and I adored this version. We don't have enough really good Daddy books full stop, and this was an excellent addition to my library.

I love reading new-to-me authors because every so often something just clicks with you, and for me, this was one of those. The writing was really good, the banter was natural and flowed easily. The plot was definitely present and genuinely creeped me out, although some parts didn't land quite right for me. Felt like the third parties were relied upon a bit too heavily, and there were some elements I don't really see a reason for, but it was a decent effort for a still very new author.

I loved the characters, they were genuinely likeable and engaging without being perfect. Both of them were adorable and I loved them so much, and loved them even more together. I got attached to the side characters too and want to loop back round and read the first book as well as reading the next in the series. And, you know, anything else they write. Sometimes it just clicks.

Survival Instinct is an easy 4⭐️s for me, the setting felt so distinctly British that it was cozy yet there was enough angst and mystery in the plot that I wasn’t bored. My personal favourite was Quin (& Mabel) - I’m a sucker for a fluffy towards the one who smells good werewolf) and the switch from friends to lovers felt natural between him and Kit. The ending/epilogue was so satisfying to me and now I’m curious as to where we’re going next, I’m sat and ready for Sage’s story (if that’s where we’re going) but I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out for new releases in this series. Also there will be emotional damage fallout when you read this, no spoilers but I could have cried over the boys honestly.

Kit started begging for his own story as soon as he was introduced in Inhuman Nature and this book did not disappoint. I loved watching Kit’s walls come down. Quin was perfectly patient, but also knew when and how much Kit needed pushed. While there’s a good amount of heat, there’s also a ton of plot to the story. The Daddy aspect didn’t have a huge role, and this book definitely has less kink than the first of the series

This book could probably be read as a stand alone, but it would be best enjoyed after Inhuman Nature. There’s a bit of an overarching plot, plus it would give readers a lot more info on Kit’s background and a better understanding of his friends and their dynamic

It seems that Sage will be the next to get a story. I’m excited to see more werewolf action and learn more about the pack. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far and am looking forward to seeing where Marra takes us next!

This started so slow burny and kind of a meet cutey way but when you getting the good part of the mcs getting to know eachother and there is still 50% left of the book you know shit will hit the fangs soon. And what heartbreaking shit it is. No worries no third breakup here - not for lack of trying from a third party tho.

This book was really good and I had trouble putting it down. It definitely makes sense to read Inhuman Nature beforehand, just to know what the stakes (haha stakes) are and what kind of trauma we are dealing with.

I loved the banterful way Quin and Kit get to know eachother and the careful way they are both building their relationship. Their way to one another felt right.

Bonus for me. I have been through Anstruther before. Made me want to go back. Scotland has my heart.

I absolutely ADORED this.

Kit is so so prickly and has so much trauma and even in book one you could tell that what he really needed was love and a sense of belonging but that his walls were sky high.

INSERT QUIN, through honestly one of my favorite meet cutes ever. Quin is now my top book boyfriend for sure. He's an absolute green flag of a man(/wolf), with major golden retriever energy (one day I'll read a Marra book and make no references to dogs, I swear), and just so so very much love to give to Kit. It's love at first sniff and Quin has zero chill and god I just adored it.

Kit had no choice but to fall head over heels. It was sweet, funny, sexy, romantic. GAH, just everything. BUT ALSO, it's heartbreaking, and tense, suspenseful, and just full of action. I swear I was on a roller coaster with my emotions and I did not want to get off.

Kit and Quin are the epitome of grumpy sunshine.

My heart broke for Kit in Inhuman Nature. Seeing Kit find his person was so sweet. I loved every second of watching him fall for Quin.

Daddy Quin was giving puppy and I loved that so much. The first time he and Kit met was so dang cute. I couldn’t stop smiling through the entire interaction. Quin knew how to pull out his possessiveness and protect Kit when it mattered most.

Shaun, Rake and DJ are always a vibe and loved seeing them again.

I love the world building Marra has infused in her stories. I’m excited to see where the rest of the series goes.

Kit and Quinn! TOTALLY NO FOOT FETISH IN THIS BOOK NOPE!

The second book in the series Marra manages to continue to build a world of paranormal creatures I want to get lost in. Funny, snarky, sexy, and witty, these characters have heart! I love that although this is a second book, it reads totally different than the first, in a good way! It is not a copy/pasta, Kit and Quinn have their own personality and it feels so well done.

Story is solid. I don't want to give away too much but it's a nice balance between ghost hunting and romance.

As with her first book, Marra will make you hunger for the next story.

If Inhuman Nature was giving “True Blood” vibes, than this second book, Survival Instinct is giving “Twilight Saga” vibes (but with more bubble gum flavored butt sex, of course!😂)

Kit and Quin are so perfect together, I love their dynamic. This book is FUNNY. The humor Marra manages to find between these characters was so great. I think I highlighted half of my copy, it’s a treasure trove of literary delights 💖

Everyone is back for this one, whether we love them or hate them (JUST DIE ALREADY LAWRENCE!?)!

This one revolves around Kit and where we left him at the end of book 1. This book builds upon the world established and we get vampire clans, witches, ghosts with terrible hair who possess, and hot daddy werewolves! Like what else could anyone want?

Oh yeah and MABEL, THE MOST PERFECT DOGGO EVER💖

This book is great, but when that third act hits and all our characters are reunited, it’s a f*cking ride! It’s filled with borgy’s and an epic showdown not to be missed… but is this really the end? 😏

4.5/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Rounded up to 5 Stars for Goodreads.

Thank you to Marra Moore and her team for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great read! The characters were easily my favorite part — flawed, emotional, and genuinely believable. Their relationships felt earned, and I found myself getting very invested in their choices and reactions, especially under pressure.

The plot itself was tense and engaging, with a strong sense of urgency that kept me turning pages. There’s a constant feeling that things could go wrong at any moment, which worked perfectly with the survival theme and kept the stakes high throughout.

If I had to point out one downside, it would be that some parts moved a little too quickly. There were moments where I wished certain scenes had been explored a bit more before moving on.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy.

I went in without reading Book one, but I should go back and do that. Reading about the hints of what happened to Kit was heartbreaking. He was right to be weary and mistrusting of Quin at first, but Quin was such a sad little puppy when he was trying to befriend Kit. I found him adorable and I was glad when Kit gave him a chance. Their dynamic was fitting and their banter was actually hilarious. The book a mix of comedy in between the plot itself. I am kind of curious of Xavier and I hope to see a book for him.

I received this book as a free e-arc and all my opinions are my own.

Marra has done it once again!! Survival Instinct is a perfect blend of humor, tension, and emotional healing!

I *loved* getting to know Kit more. That snark vampire is so special to me, specifically. And I equally adore Quin! He is just so charming and fun to read. The two of them together was as entertaining as it was healing. It made me so happy to see Kit letting Quin in and falling in love with him.

As with the last book, Lawrence when I catch you!!!!

All in all, 10/10! No notes!

ARC REVIEW
Survival Instinct is the best mix of sexy, scary, kinky and funny. Quin and Kit just make sense as a couple with their personalities and struggles. The more you read the more you want. My new favorite word BORGY IYKYK. This is the perfect book 2 in this series. The twists and turns hand me hooked and the new characters are so yummy 😋

I'm so hoping Marra adds more books to this series. 100% recommend checking it out.

Gah! What to say. This was definitely worth the 5 star for me. Kit was just as sweet as I knew he could be. But definitely sassy like I like it. Quin was perfect for him in every aspect. I loved the daddy aspects in there relationship and how he really didn’t try to change kit he was happy with him the way he was he just wanted to take care of him. The conflict was interesting. I loved it. I hope there’s more to this series

I devoured this book and loved it as much as the first one. I enjoyed how it built on from the first book and seeing how Kit had developed. Moore has an excellent way of storytelling and world-building. I cannot wait for the third book and hope she continues this series.
