Acolyte: A Steamy Contemporary Rom-Com

Rate this book
The stakes are higher. The games are raunchier. And the spice? It’s definitely spicier.

Eden's diving headfirst into Pleasure Academy’s sun-soaked circus of ridiculous challenges and sexy seduction, and the online audience can’t get enough. Her ranking is blowing up, but behind the fame and boob sweat, she’s chasing more than rank. Between her dream bookstore, a shot at real love, and becoming the main character in her own story—one bad decision at a time—she’s on a journey that may lead her down a path she never thought she’d travel.

Who knew self-discovery would involve this much lube and personal growth?

Life on the island is messy, spicy, and everything Eden never signed up for. But she’s in it now, and she's not backing down.

Grab a drink, lower your expectations, and follow Eden as she flaunts it, flirts it, and figures it the hell out.

Story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Burn 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I loved watching Eden constantly going into her Damn-the-Consequences persona and getting herself in trouble. Darien not wanting to let Scarlett "Tame" Eden was also fun, especially when he told her he liked her the way she was.

Swallow that fire, my sweet. I want it churning in your belly and unleashed when I have you at my mercy.

The fact that Zed started talking about how fun it'd be to have Lily on the island had me wondering if he was going to try to pull some strings, especially since he loved her emails. All the book and movie quotes had me laughing because I felt like this would be me and some friends trying to see who would come up with the most references.

Well, Dr. Phil, if I told you, I'd have to kill you.
Come on. Just give me a hint.
You have the Clearance, Clarence.
Surely, you can't be serious.
I'm completely serious. And don't call me Shirley

Eden fighting with Darien about him being so cagey about his past really did hurt. When he finally told Eden that he'd survived a school shooting. I wanted to hug him myself, the fact he thought she would think less of him or that she'd think he was a broken man had me feeling bad for him. Eden letting him know that it didn't change how she felt about him was beyond sweet and something he deserved to hear.

After the auction, I couldn't help but feel like people were toying with Eden, then she leveled up to Acolyte. I hope there's going to be a book 3, I need to see what happens next.

Fiona absolutely knocks it out of the park with Acolyte, elevating the spicy, raunchy, and heartfelt elements in ways I never expected. If you loved Novice, prepare to be swept off your feet again—but with a whole new layer of intensity.

The chemistry between the characters is sizzling, and the humor! I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. The witty banter is packed with movie references that had me snorting, wheezing, and doing that silent laughing thing where you’re struggling to catch your breath. Seriously, the dialogue feels so natural and full of life—it’s like these characters jumped right off the page and into my heart.

But beyond the humor and heat, Acolyte has a surprising amount of depth. There were moments when I was genuinely moved and found myself tearing up. Eden masterfully balances the spice with emotional vulnerability, which is no easy feat in a book like this. And let’s not forget about the kinks—if you thought you’d explored it all, think again. Acolyte introduces a few new elements that will open your mind and probably make you rethink what you thought you knew about pleasure.

In short: if you want a book that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe even question your own limits, Acolyte is the read for you. Don’t miss out.

I've been stoked to go back to the Pleasure Academy to see how Eden's journey continues, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed this just as much as the first book, maybe even a little bit more.

This is becoming one of my favorite series! The spice was perfect and HOT, the character development was sweet, and Eden's upgrade is well deserved! I love being able to see her evolve and come into her own. Not to mention the games?! How does one think of these things?! They leave me chuckling as I imagine a maze of labia shaped hedges LOL

Only giving it 4 stars since it ended on a cliffhanger (like the first), but I'm so excited knowing we'll be getting another book. I can't wait to see where Eden goes. Hopefully it isn't too long👀
