Very sweet and well-written story. I can't believe how much Barbara Wallace's writing voice has matured over the last couple of years.

This one has a little bit of everything...hidden secrets, a lovely backstory for the old auntie, and a sweet romance (rated G).

I'm looking forward to reading the sister's story this fall! Yipppeee!

I really like the name Stuart and I loved his character, "I suppose that means punching him out on the dance floor is out of the question too?" He's quite the passionate man, "Patience swore Stuart had turned kissing into an art form. One moment his kisses were possessive and demanding, the next they turned so reverent they brought tears to her eyes." He's one of those men who doesn't like to be woken up in the middle of the night, well unless it's for sex, "whoever it is, tell them they’re insane,” Stuart muttered from beneath his pillow. “Then get under these covers so I can do unspeakable things to you." I enjoyed this book I love Stuart.

Just because you did what you had to to survive along with your sibling doesn’t mean you don’t deserve a happily ever after.

This was such a sweet read that I enjoyed immensely. These two characters both had some trust issues. Patience Rush was a young woman that had a rough life. Her mother passed away and she needed to make sure that her sister was not taken from her so she did want she needed. Then a miracle happened and she got a job as a housekeeper but one fateful night something happened to her employer. Ana ended up in the hospital because her cat “Nigel” loved getting in-between peoples legs. That is when her great nephew came back into town and that’s when the chemistry started and also the doubts that Patience was looking to get rich from his aunt. Stuart Duchenko was an attorney and knew how to read people and from the moment that he said secrets there was something that have her away. Stuart knew she was keeping a secret but the more that they spoke and lived together in his aunt’s brownstone the more he starting liking her. He was attracted to her and didn’t like the attention that she drew from other men. Then one night she ended up telling him everything about her life but left out one criminal offense and sooner or later that would come out especially when he hired someone to investigate her.

A Millionaire for Cinderella was an amazing read. The characters were well developed and the storyline was great. They both had trust issues but I was amazed that he was the first to actually trust her but saddened that it took her a little bit longer in that department. The story grabbed at my heart and I was really cheering for them. The chemistry between these two was passionate and they were meant to be.

Now I can’t wait for Piper’s book and find out how to found love in Paris!! I totally recommend this read!

"There was a lot more to Patience Rush than met the eye. And he intended to find out what."

This was a very sweet and quick read.

When I started this story, I immediately liked Patience. Her love and affection toward Ana, her boss, was wonderful. She wasn't just Ana's housekeeper, she was a friend. When Ana is injured due to the pesky ways of her cat, Nigel, Patience is right by her side. But this also leads to her coming face-to-face with Ana's great-nephew Stuart.

Oh, Stuart. He was brooding, yet misunderstood. He and his aunt had a special bond and he wasn't too happy having Patience around...at first. Stuart had trust issues and he red flagged her from the start. I loved their candor towards each other. They went toe-to-toe all the time, but you could tell they enjoyed every minute of it.

"My aunt has a generous heart. I, on the other hand..."
"Let me guess. You don't."
"I prefer to lead with my head. Less chance for mistakes."
"Except, in this case, you're already mistaken."
"We'll find out, won't we? Since I'll be living here, we'll have plenty of time to get acquainted. Who knows what secrets we'll learn about each other."

Both Stuart and Patience had skeletons in their closets, and it was interesting to see them uncover each one. They bonded at first because of Ana, but then they bonded when they found out how similar they each are. Even from two different sides of the track, they understood each other. I was really sweet.

"How on earth was he going to spend two weeks with Patience, get to know her and keep his attraction under control?"

I thought this book was great! A good storyline, great characters, and it leaves your mind open to the future of Stuart and Patience. I'm excited to read the next book about her sister, Piper!

"You still don't trust me to tell you the truth, do you?"
"That's just it, I do. For the first time in a long time, I do."

Sometimes it just takes being in the mood for a particular storyline in order to fully appreciate it. Apparently that was the case for me while reading A Millionaire for Cinderella, as I did enjoy this 256 page, mildly angst-filled Harlequin contemporary romance. Admittedly, it was the refreshingly romantic cover that first caught my attention. All too often romance authors choose risque over classy when writing and selecting book covers. It was the book summary, however, that reeled me in. Though the synopsis pretty much reveals the gist of the story, there are enough twists and turns along with witty banter and likeable characters to make this sweet, clean romantic tale engaging. The author’s writing style seemed to flow effortlessly, and she did a good job with character development and keeping the storyline focused. My only complaint would be I wish the main heroine’s secret had been something else.

Overall, if you are looking for a short romance that is not dark, twisted, or too steamy to cleanse your reading palate, you might want to consider A Millionaire for Cinderella. This one worked for me.

What caught my attention and tempted me to read Barbara Wallace's A Millionaire for Cinderella was the concept. Every woman dreams of having her own fairy tale. Ana has a good heart and is a good person she is fond of her job and the woman she works for. Stuart is not a person who wears his heart on his sleeve and he has a hard time trusting. Ana looks for the bright side and Stuart is more reserved in his opinions and feelings. An endearing story with a little bit of fairy tale magic mixed in. I received A Millionaire for Cinderella for an honest review.

Bagus. Dewasa tp ngga vulgar. Meskipun disebut klo Patience... Aq suka nama itu by the way... Itu seksi tp agak sulit membayangkan-nya. Yg justru agak bisa kebayang justru gambaran fisik Stuart. Sayang....
Satu2nya Stuart yg aq pernah liat ya, si tikus kecil yg punya mobil keren, anak terakhir keluarga Little 😋
Sorry to say neh, Stu!
Tp penggambaran soal perbedaan status sosial tuh bener. Jadi ketakutan Patience itu kerasa nyata.
Oh, and nama Piper also reminds me of the Charmed trio Phoebe, Piper and Pru!

A Millionaire For Cinderella

Ternyata aku udah duluan baca cerita ke 2 dari seri In Love With The Boss ini.

Ini cerita kakak Piper Rush (Beauty & Her Billionaire Boss), Patience Rush.

Tapi ternyata, kotak pandora belum sepernuhnya terbuka.

Saya jadi pensaran sama nasib Piper, adiknya Patience.

EDITED TO UPDATE 02/09/19: read this book and never realized I had already read it a couple of years ago. Kinda scary because I didn't remember anything about the story!

But I liked it very much this second time around. Now I have to really make a concerted effort to find and read the companion book.

Very lovely read about an untrusting hero, a darling elderly grand-aunt, and the heroine with a tough life, struggling to not only make ends meet but sacrifice for her younger sister? Sounds bring-me-down?? Not at all. Read this one. A truly feel-good story with a heroine who discovers her worth and a hero who slowly and with much difficulty learns to trust. I can't wait to read the sister's story.

This one goes hand in hand with Beauty and Her Billionaire Boss (or something like that) also by Wallace. I liked this one more but had read the other first so the big secret had already been revealed. It's funny that this one only featured a milionaire because he came across as having much more money than Frederic (billionaire hero from sequel).

I'm a sucker for a housekeeper romance. Bonus points if she's plain and mousy (a la many a Neels heroine). Here she's a knockout which is important to the plot.

It's a Harlequin. What you see is what you get. Some kisses and a firmly shut bedroom door.

Patience finally feels safe and protected while taking care of an elderly woman's everyday needs . But all that may change when this woman's nephew, the gorgeous and rich Stuart invades her happy space.
While trying to figure out Patience's secrets will Stuart find his one true love or will her secrets ultimately kill their relationship ?

This storyline was very romantic and emotionally tragic at the same time .
Once Patience and Stuart start falling for each other ..the secrets keep coming out of the woodwork and emotions run wild. This was a Dramatic, yet sweet , short romance .

A sweet romance; one of those stories that shows you can reach for the stars always. Patience Rush is grateful for the second chance she received when Ana gives her a job as her housekeeper and her trust. When Ana's grand-nephew Stuart arrives, she is worried secrets from her past may take away her second chance; or will she get a chance at her own fairy tale ending?
All the characters in the story seem real and Ana's and Stuart's characters - my favorites.

I knew what was coming and it didn't frustrate me in the least. I love the characters and The crazy dog. I wish that there had been more, but also think that the story was complete. Now I can't wait to read the companion story to this one.
