Raven Souls MC #4

All That Glitters

Rate this book
Life in a motorcycle club isn’t for everyone, but being a Raven is in my blood.
The only things that matter to me are my brothers and my cut, then she walks into my life and rips up the playbook.
I know I can’t keep her; club girls are for a good time, not a long time, so when the secret she’s been keeping lands at my feet like a bomb, I pull the pin, blowing up everything between us.
The second I watch her walk away, I know I’ve made a mistake, but before I can fix it, she’s gone.
Tracking her down is the easy part; realizing all the love she had for me has turned to hate, not so much. Right now, the closest we’ll get to a white picket fence is her impaling me on one.
I know I hurt her, but I’m not ready to give up on us yet, so I’ll do what any self-respecting biker would do;
I’ll stalk her, kidnap her, and chain her to my bed until she loves me again.
What could possibly go wrong?

Content Bikers are gonna be bikers. If you are looking for a PG read, this book is not for you. Please expect a whole lot of cuss words, foul language, and dirty talk. There is also enough sexcapades and violence to make you question your morals or at the very least, mine.

So, I really liked this one, but it definitely had its issues. Legs was amazing — strong, sharp, and the only one in this whole mess who actually had her head on straight. I loved how she stood her ground and didn’t just melt under Midas’s intensity. She carried the story, honestly.
Midas, though… yeah, no. He had his moments, but he frustrated the life out of me 😭. Too controlling, too reactive, and half the time I just wanted to shake him. His backstory was interesting, but his choices? Questionable at best. The emotional connection between them didn’t always land — mostly because he kept messing it up.
The pacing also jumped around, and a few subplots felt unnecessary. It’s like the story wanted to be five things at once — dark, romantic, tragic, steamy — and not all of it blended perfectly.
Still, the tension and spice were on point, and Legs alone made it worth the read. Midas might’ve annoyed me, but he kept things interesting

I normally like CW’s writing, but this was a big no for me. I was looking forward to this book so much and I did give it 4 stars, but I’m still unsure how I feel. It’s probably more a 3 star read.

Midas emotionally abused Hazel for years. No attempt at a sad back story excuses it. This is not a teen/early 20s boy (not that it’s ok at that age either), but a 30+ year old “man.” It felt like the author tried to excuse his abuse of the heroine by giving him a sad story and ohh now it’s ok cos he now knows to treat her better. Just NO. He is the definition of toxic. What do we teach our daughters? We teach them there is no excuse for abuse and to get away from those people/relationships. There is 100% no excuse for any abuse.

In this series there has been missing the whole brotherhood of an mc. CW’s other MC novels had the brotherhood, but it’s missing here. Honestly, I can’t figure out why they are in a club together. There is nothing gluing these guys together. There is very little laughter or any indication they even like each other much. Hell they are rarely together except at church. Would these guys be constantly misjudging ALL these people (also getting to be a repetitive theme) if they were in a real brotherhood?

I’m also over the misjudging/wronged women theme. Once with Lola was enough. Now it’s Del and will prob repeat. It loses its punch and becomes cliche.

This was supposed to be a romance. Romance gives you warm fuzzy feelings about the couple and makes you want to see the couple make it though. This was emotionally exhausting and not in a good way. There was no humor to try to break up the draining vibe. Honestly, this series has turned too dark with nothing to help pick up good vibes. The Underestimated series had a balance. This series is getting too serious without any happiness in it. I’m hoping the next book lightens things up a bit.

5 ⭐️/3 🌶️

I freaking loved every second of this book. Every time I think I’ve decided which character I dislike in this series, Candice turns everything around and makes me feel guilty for ever doubting them. 😅

Midas was that character this time. The initial dislike I had for him completely vanished as the story unfolded. By the end, I was totally sold!

And Hazel? She’s easily one of my favorite fmc in the entire series. She’s fierce, vulnerable, and so easy to root for.💕

The plot, the writing, the spice, everything just hit perfectly. I couldn’t put it down and now I’m counting down the days until we find out whose story comes next!

Not the best.
Always a guilty pleasure author who can be very cringey but enjoyable. This was too cringe and lazy writing. Hated Midas and legs story going in to it, and just don’t think there was enough grovelling. Quite a few mistakes missed by an editor too.

Book 4 and I’m still loving this series. I can’t get enough of the characters and their banter. Midas and Legs story was quite the rollercoaster ride. The ups and downs. The twists and turns. So much happens to leave you on the edge of your seat in this one. I loved every second of it! Each book is a new favorite for me and leaves me loving all the characters even more. Despite hating Midas for much of this one lol. I couldn’t help but to love his character and much as Legs by the end. Can’t wait to listen to the next book!

The duet narration was performed by Sebastian York and Lucy Rivers. Their voices complimented each other so well and they were perfect for Midas and Legs. I love how they brought the story to life with emotion you could not only hear but, feel.

Legs and Midas’s story is heeeeerrrreee

I’d been waiting for it. I had expectations and wants for what their story would be and wow. Once again, Candice Wright delivered a rollercoaster of emotions on a non-stop ride full of heartbreak and redemption.

I’m really enjoying the Raven Souls MC series and I’ve liked Legs since the first book so finally having her story was great. I was so disappointed at first by Midas but he won me over over time and I completely enjoyed their story.

There’s definitely more to come from this series and I am ready for it all.

We are BACK with the Raven Souls MC and this time we are focusing on a brand new couple in book 4! 🖤 I am LOVING that each book in this series can be read as an interconnected standalone but also loving how they are connected. We get to see little items from book 3 carry into book 4 and even play a small part in shaping how certain characters see things now. That kind of connection?? Chef's kiss. 💜

In this story we follow Legs, a club bunny who was brought into this life through unfortunate circumstances, but she's accepted it and has the FUNNIEST sarcastic sassy banter with the men of the Raven Souls MC. 🥹 But there's ONE brother who has caught her eye and she's hoping this won't be like her crushes before… but it's worse. Her feelings for him are stronger than anything she's felt and they are going to DESTROY her if she doesn't get ahead of it. 👀

Then we have Midas, our Raven Souls brother who has caught Legs' attention. He's sexy, loyal to his brothers, magnetic in a way where any woman would fall at his feet… but the one thing causing him issues?? He doesn't believe in relationships. 🖤 BUT, and here's where I lose it, he is so protective and obsessive over Legs, even jealous when other men come around her. I LIVE for this side of him! Yet… he frustrated me because I just wanted him to take his head out of his ass already!! 😂 Their dynamic, the banter, the tension, the yearning, the hurt, the growth?? It was everything I needed.

While the plot mostly follows Legs and her struggle to come to terms with her feelings for Midas, we also get the friendships she builds, her interactions with the other club bunnies, AND an interesting action-packed plot twist in the last 30% of the book. 🔥 That twist took us on a WILD ride and left me with so many questions, I need book 5 in my hands immediately because I need answers!! 😩

Now let's talk NARRATION because YES, this one is done in duet style and y'all KNOW that's my favorite!! 🎙️ Both @akalucyrivers and Sebastian York were absolutely phenomenal. Lucy honestly stole the show for me, she showcased Legs' emotions SO well that you truly felt for her and even had me firmly on Legs' side and mad at Midas right alongside her!! 🥹 And Sebastian?? He brought Midas to LIFE in a way that had me FERAL. 🖤 Both narrators had a superb range of voices that made it so easy to distinguish between characters and just elevated the entire listening experience.
I am genuinely enjoying my ride with the Raven Souls MC and cannot wait to continue these stories. 🖤

All That Glitters by Candace Wright follows the story of Hazel, better known as Legs, and Midas. This is a story I’ve been looking forward to since book one, and it earned a solid 4-star review from me.

Legs is a strong FMC who finds herself in a heartbreaking situation beyond her control. After becoming an orphan as a young teen, her mother had already made arrangements with a local MC to take her in. From that point on, she grew up immersed in the MC life as a club girl.

Midas is a patched member of the Raven Souls MC. From the moment he met Legs, he was completely captivated by her. However, once he learned she was a club girl, he didn’t handle his feelings well. He spent a long time fighting his desire to make her his alone, refusing to admit that what he felt went far beyond physical desire.

The audiobook narration was exceptionally well done and easily earned a 5-star rating from me. The narrators brought the characters to life and kept me fully engaged in the story.

The spice was also top-tier and definitely deserves a 5 🌶️ rating.

While this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next installment. The Raven Souls MC series is interconnected, with recurring characters and overlapping events, so I highly recommend reading the books in order for the best experience.

Happy reading!

This stressed me out so bad. 😭 I loved Legs, and I needed more from Midas because I spent most of the book wishing him away. lol He hurt her over and over AND OVER. I almost DNF'd at 87% because, like the genius she is, the author tricked me, and I thought Midas could never be redeemed after that. BUT things weren't what they seemed. I think we saw the beginning of Midas' turnaround; I just wish there was more growth on page. So I'm choosing to imagine Midas as spending every day for the rest of his life making things up to Legs. I'm very interested in Lil and Del's stories.

Story 4⭐️

All That Glitters by Candice Wright is the fourth book in the Raven Soul series. This time we are focusing on Legs and Midas. I have been waiting for their story right from the beginning so I was very excited to listen to this one. Candice is a phenomenal storyteller. The plot is messy, in a good way, but made me question so much what’s gonna come in the next books, and where the MC is going from here. I love these characters.
Audiobook: narrated in duet style by Lucy Rivers and Sebastian York. They knocked this out of the park. Lucy knows how to shine, she is phenomenal as Legs, giving her so much dimension and depth. Sebastian? Do I even have to say anything about this God? Ok… fine…. Listen to the book!!! Both of them as a team, created an unforgettable audiobook!
I need book 5 so badly!!!

This is the 4th book in the series and for me it fell flat. The MMC was too much of a jerk and didn’t redeem himself enough to create a believable story. Spice was maybe a 3🌶️ at the most. I enjoyed the others book in this series much more.

CW is a new to me author and I came to this series brand new without any idea of the characters or the MC. I really enjoyed it. I loved this take on the MC grump falling in love with one of the club girls. I've read so many books with club girls falling for one of the MC men only to be rejected when the MMC finds their one. I kinda loved that Legs gets her own happy ending amid a life filled with uncertainty and transience.

Legs has lived with various MCs since the age of 14. The only constant in her life is a stuffed toy she carries with her. When she joins the Raven Souls she finds a family amid the brothers and other club girls. She starts to put down roots. And in doing so she falls for Midas. He is grumpy and withdrawn. He has so much emotional baggage that he ends up rejecting Legs and splitting their potential happy ending apart.

Not all is as it seems. And I would argue it is well worth staying to finish their story. Midas is truly awful to Legs. He hurts her and in the worst ways emotionally. But the making up and regaining her trust is worth the emotional investment. The relationship that they end up with is MC romance at its best. And their chemistry together is off the charts.

There isn’t a book in this entire series that I haven’t devoured. Midas and Hazel were definitely ones that caught my interest early on in the series. Finally knowing their story and their past really made me understand their dynamic a lot better. I thought Candace Wright did an amazing job at bringing these characters stories to life.

I’m such a sucker for MC romance books at the moment, and the way I can’t get enough of these men, the found family, and the protective guys in this series!!! And the FMCs are just as fierce and protective.

The suspense aspect of this book was amazing!! So many plot twists and “shut up!” moments for me that I didn’t see coming!! I love that each book gives you more of the couples before. It’s definitely a series a recommend reading in order!!

I was lucky enough to get the audio from blue nose publishing, and Lucy Rivers & Sebastian York did a perfect job. They added so much angst, suspense, and spice to the story that it definitely enhanced my enjoyment!! I highly recommend the audiobooks for this series!!

If you love a possessive, stalker like MMC who doesn’t know how to let himself be happy and a woman who grew up knowing only the MC life try to make it work with a whole lot of suspense, spice, and laughs, you should be adding this to your tbr immediately. I seriously cannot wait for the next book!

I loved the previous 3 books in this series, this one was a big disappointment. There was no romance, no love only lust and sex and obsession. Midas was a total A$$hole not at all redeemable, he treated Legs like crap. He undressed her without consent, touched her without consent and his only thought was how much he missed plowing into her. Not very loving and romantic in my opinion.
I don't care what his past trauma was like, it doesn't excuse his present behavior. I had no sympathy for him.
Legs was a weak, pathetic doormat. She allowed him to shit all over him and repeatedly put up with it. When she finally got some balls, it didn't last long at all before she was spreading her legs for him again. There was no grovel at all.
They were toxic together and it was not enjoyable to read.
On top of that, there was an excessive amount of pandering to the man hating feminist political rhetoric.🙄🙄
I don't want to read a fantasy and have real world political bullshit shoved in my face, there's enough of that in real life. Reading is for escapism.
I also easily figured out who the stalker was. It was rather predictable.
Since I did not get invested in or liked any of the side characters who will have future books, I'm done reading this series for sure.

Good god, this was not a light read. Really, I don't even have words. I cried, laughed, and cried again and ended up leaving with a smile on my face and in my heart. Legs was so very relatable in her pain and later, in her forgiveness and triumphs.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧Riveting, Emotional & Intense!

All That Glitters
Raven Souls MC Book 4
By: Candace Wright
Narrated by: Lucy Rivers, Sebastian York

Candice Wright has created something very special when she created the “Raven Souls MC” series, a fantastic MC world with intriguing characters and amazing storylines that captivate your attention the entire time. After getting a glimpse of the drama between Legs, a club girl, and Midas, a patched member, a club girl in the previous book, I was looking forward to their story and learning more about them. Neither had the best of lives growing up, and hearing how Legs became a club girl was heartbreaking, but she held no bitterness and was a well-rounded person. Wiser, older, and knowing what she wants in life, to settle down and start a family, and loving a man who wants none of that, forces her hand to leave her found family and go out on her own. Midas was not very nice to her despite wanting her, knowing he could not give her what she wanted, and not letting anyone else give it to her. Yeah, he could be a real jerk, and his brothers told him so, pushing her away, playing on her insecurities, never worthy of being an old lady because she was just a club girl. Yet it was he who was not worthy of her or of being loved, all stemming from the demons in his past and the battles they stirred up within. Midas almost lost the best thing that ever happened to him, and he had to redeem himself and work to get her back. The complexity of these characters is remarkable, as are their growth and development. There is never a dull moment in this book, and besides the relationship drama, other things are happening: the club girls may be in danger, and someone from their past makes an appearance. This cleverly plotted, multi-layered story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Candice Wright, thank you for another amazing story, and the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous audiobook listen and production performed by the wonderfully talented Lucy Rivers and Sebastian York, a perfect casting, a perfect pairing, who did an incredible job voicing the characters and delivering a spot-on portrayal of each. Rivers was a natural in Legs’ role, grasping every facet of her personality, from her insecurities to her fierceness and determination. York did the same in Midas’ role and was just as amazing at showcasing his personality, alpha-tude and all. Both were fantastic at performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. They set the ideal tone for the story, and their expressive performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions, making you feel each one. With their entertaining storytelling, these versatile voice artists are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating delivery keeps you engrossed in the story.

Candice Wright seriously knows how to emotionally destroy me and then make me love every single character I swore I wouldn’t forgive 😭🖤 This book completely consumed me from beginning to end and somehow managed to turn Midas into one of my favorite characters after I spent half the story wanting to fight him myself 😂

The Raven Souls MC series just keeps getting better with every installment 🏍️🔥 The emotional chaos, the tension, the loyalty, the heartbreak — every book somehow pulls me deeper into this world and these characters.

I had been waiting FOREVER for Legs/Hazel’s story and it absolutely lived up to every expectation I had 😩❤️ Hazel was incredible. Strong, emotional, stubborn, vulnerable, and impossible not to root for. She carries herself with so much fire, but underneath that strength there’s so much heart. Easily one of my top FMCs in the entire series.

And then there’s Midas… whew 😮‍💨 This man tested my patience for a large chunk of the story, not gonna lie. I was frustrated with him SO many times, but Candice slowly peeled back his layers until suddenly I understood him completely. By the end, I was fully obsessed with him and emotionally attached against my will 😭 His growth, redemption, and the way his relationship with Hazel unfolded ended up hitting so much harder because of all the messiness they had to survive first.

Their chemistry was insane 🔥 The banter between them had me grinning constantly, and the emotional tension balanced perfectly with the spice. Every interaction felt charged with history, emotion, frustration, and attraction. This relationship was definitely a rollercoaster — full of painful moments, emotional breakthroughs, twists, chaos, and scenes that had me completely stressed in the best way possible.

I also loved how much was happening plot-wise 👏 There were so many moments where I genuinely had no idea what direction things were about to go. The pacing kept me locked in the entire time and I couldn’t stop reading because every chapter left me needing more.

And the audiobook narration??? 🎧✨ Sebastian York and Lucy Rivers absolutely nailed Midas and Hazel. Their performances added so much depth and emotion to the story that it honestly felt impossible not to get completely immersed. The duet narration worked perfectly and made every emotional and spicy scene hit even harder.

At this point every Raven Souls MC book becomes my new favorite the second I finish it 😭🏍️ Candice Wright has created characters that feel so real, flawed, chaotic, and lovable that I never want this series to end. Now I’m desperately waiting to see whose story we get next because I already know it’s going to ruin me all over again.

After the emotional and compelling story of Hannibal and Lola (previous book), this one was a huge disappointment.

Initially, I was drawn to Legs. Her resilience and optimism, despite growing up in the club scene far too young, made her a character I wanted to root for. She had the makings of a true fighter – someone who could rise above her circumstances and finally recognise her worth. I was eager to see her journey unfold.

But it never happened. Why? Midas. His treatment of Legs was appalling: judgemental, hypocritical, and emotionally cruel. While he freely sleeps with other women, he condemns Legs for doing the same, even though her choices are constrained by survival (it's literally her job), and even though he has the power to change things, he's too much of a weak coward to have the balls to step up and claim her. His actions culminate in a brutal rejection that should have been the catalyst for Legs to reclaim her life. Instead, he forces his way back into her world, and she accepts him with barely a struggle.

By the 60% mark, I was ready to DNF, but I was still holding out hope for a redemptive twist. It never came. Midas remained as entitled and condescending as Havoc (the character I absolutely loathe!), and the similarities between them only made my frustration grow. And when he tells Legs what happened to him as a kid (this is around 90%-ish), I was confused. All I could think was, why didn't he share this before? Why does the reader have no inkling of something darker hiding under the surface? Why does this revelation feel like it had come out of nowhere? I don't know...it almost felt like the author was desperate to redeem him in some way, so this is what she came up with. Maybe that wasn't the intention, but that's how it came across to me.

I genuinely regret reading this. For now, I’ll be re-reading Hannibal’s story and pretending this one never happened.

ALC Review

I have been WAITING for this one Out of all the Raven Souls books, because my girl Legs deserved EVERYTHING, and I desperately needed Midas to get his redemption arc, and wow, Candice absolutely understood the assignment.
This is book 4 in the Raven Souls series and finally gives us Midas and Legs (Hazel) a story full of chemistry, heartbreak, longing, mistakes, healing, and redemption. Midas is Raven Souls through and through, loyal to the club, stubborn, frustrating, emotionally constipated in the most biker-man way possible. while Legs is so much more than people see on the surface. Strong, kind, loyal, vulnerable, and quietly carrying so much pain, she absolutely stole my heart. Their chemistry has been simmering in the background for what feels like forever and watching everything finally explode onto the page was EVERYTHING. Secrets unravel, emotions run high, and Midas is forced to face the reality of what happens when you push away the person who matters most. Watching him realise what he lost and fight for redemption was perfection. But of course he did it in the most unhinged way and I loved it! And LEGS, My girl. I swear I loved her even more in this book. She deserved to be fought for, and seeing her finally get that had me emotional.
Lucy & Sebastian absolutely nailed this and brought this story to life beautifully. Lucy captured all of Legs’ vulnerability, strength, heartbreak, and quiet resilience. I felt every emotion right alongside her. Sebastian delivered Midas’ rough edges, devotion, frustration, and emotional unraveling so perfectly that I was fully invested. Together, they made every emotional moment hit harder, every tense scene more intense, and every bit of chemistry leap through my headphones.

All That Glitters is book 4 in the Raven Souls MC series by Candice Wright. I have been obsessed with this series since book 1 and my obsession is only intensifying more after each book!

All That Glitters follows Legs and Midas. We were introduced to these characters in book 1, but we only got a glimpse into their complicated relationship. Legs is a club girl for the Raven Souls and Midas a club member. They each have their own tragic pasts that have somehow led them to each other Midas wants Legs, but is standing in his own way. When Legs unexpectedly becomes pregnant she must leave the MC and Midas behind for a different life for her and her baby. Her leaving is finally the wake up call Midas needs though. Let’s just say it’s a wild ride from start to finish!

Like I’ve said, this series is wildly addicting and Midas and Legs story was no exception. Their complex relationship was emotional and raw. There were multiple times I wanted to shake Midas and tell him what a jerk he was, which is just a testament to how invested I am into the Raven Souls characters and how much I want all of their HEAs. I can’t get enough of this series and I am so thankful there are still a couple more books!

Let’s talk audio, All That Glitters is narrated in duet by Lucy Rivers and Sebastian York. The emotion Lucy brought to her performance was palpable. You could hear all of Leg's emotions being brought to life with her wonderful performance. Sebastian’s portrayal of Midas was fantastic. He brought the broody, stubborn biker to life so well, but then also captured the softer side he had for legs perfectly. Another perfectly cast book for this series!
