A little over the top. I really liked Book 1 with the introduction of the Circle of Light and Kings/Queens of the four elements. Book 2 with all of the creatures and what was happening with the Dark Union moved a bit slow at times. End of Book 2 was a pleasant surprise. Will check out other books by this author.
