As I wrote it, at least I must have read it. I 'chose' the contents of this book by sending my publisher twice the amount of material required and letting him choose what to include. Curiously, the choices broke down into 3 chronologically distinct groups, and he could not have known that the groups of poems concerned were written closely together in time.
