Friars in frocks, pizzas and PTA, a deceptive detective.
It’s that time again—fundraising season for the junior high school kids who are selling pizza dough kits to raise money for their upcoming band trip. When Breezy’s neighbor kid down the street asks if she wants to buy some from him, it’s right around the same time that a PTA mom is found dead—wrapped in a blanket the Happy Hookers crocheted for her only a few months earlier—and then things get dicey.
After a second death occurs, a mean detective wants to arrest Breezy for murder! A nice lady from the Records department at the police station helps her out, while a mean friar from an historical Alamo Town mission wants her out of the way.
Can Breezy figure out what the famous mission Alamo Town shares with nearby San Antonio has to do with junior high school pizza kits? How does a bag of frozen vegetables help Breezy escape a harrowing situation? And how will she dodge a persistent detective and a very old friar who both want to do her harm?
Becky Klauer is the author of suspense and cozy mystery novels. The Veronica Pearl Series includes: Manifestation (#1), Revelation (#2), Reflection (#3), and Activation (#4). Her cozy mystery series, The Happy Hookers Club, includes: First Time’s a Yarn (#1), Hooked on a Feeling (#2), and Knot My Circus (#3). Her two standalones (as of now) are No Stone Unturned, and Axx and Axel. She has written and edited for print and online media, other authors, and a TedX talker.
Her novels, whether serious or not so serious, involve good guys and bad guys because she is married to a hot police guy and likes it when the good guys win. Since real life doesn’t always work out that way, writing the endings in her books the way she wants to means they always will.
Her adult children have left the nest, but the wildlife menagerie has not; plus, she has gained a grandson. She has broken her wrist while motorcycling, her knee while snowboarding, and her finger while closing the door. She tries to instill that same sense of adventure in her female lead characters. When she isn’t working out, writing, or reading too many books at once, she is attempting new vegan recipes and new crochet patterns for the many colors of yarn that keep growing. Stop having sales and she'll stop buying yarn.
Loooved this book! This book took the characters to a new level.
Breezy really just wants to crochet and pet her cat, but instead she gets thrown in to the mix of yet another murder!
Two of her niece, Emmett’s peers at school have had a parent die under mysterious circumstances. One of the recently deceased was found wrapped in a blanket made by the Happy Hookers, which sets the nasty Detective Trey’s sights on Breezy.
The ghosts of both parents show up at breezy’s house looking for answers. This takes Breezy on an into a local mission, where she meets even more interesting characters!
I can’t wait for more books in this series.

Allora. ENG Breezy finally has her first date with... well, that would be a spoiler for those who don't know the story. On a potentially romantic evening, someone knocks on the door. Terry, a neighbor's son, asks Breezy if she can go to his house because his father is acting strangely. When they arrive at Terry's house, the boy's father is sitting in an armchair as if... petrified. Only when someone mentions taking him to the hospital does he wake up and go to sleep. The next day, Breezy sees the ghost of Terry's father in her house. A few days later, a police officer knocks on her door to ask her for information about a person who ordered a blanket from Breezy's online store and was found dead wrapped in that blanket. Shortly after, she sees the ghost of this person in her house. The key element, however, is dough for making... pizzas. Why pizza?! Breezy will obviously have to investigate because the agent in charge of the investigation, Stuart Shelby the Third, always finds her at the crime scenes, making her the prime suspect. At the end of the book, as always, there is a pattern (a corner-to-corner granny square stitch) and a recipe... which I don't remember. So. Compared to the previous two volumes, I found this one less entertaining, even the interactions with old and new ghosts are... serious. For those who haven't read the previous volumes, there are many, too many references to the two previous volumes. Sometimes I appreciated them for refreshing the story, but other times, many more times unfortunately, I found them repetitive, redundant... I was afraid the story would never get started. A cute cozy mystery that tells the story of Breezy, a woman who makes a living crocheting items and can speak to ghosts. Using her superpower, Breezy helps ghosts speak to their families, get closure, and help solve mysteries. I really appreciated how the author depicted some really tender moments in the book without making it too emotionally taxing for those of us who cry easily. Sweet and heartfelt, but not enough to turn on the waterworks. I thought I knew what was happening in this book, only to have a twist turn that all around. The last few chapters are dedicated to Breezy's life and things happening after the case has been solved. It's more than usual compared to most other books I've read, but that isn't a bad thing. I like seeing a character outside of being a sleuth. Breezy has a lot of great people surrounding her that I would love to learn more about and see those characters grow. I wish there had been a little more detail about the pizza aspect; it was summed up in a quick paragraph and I think it could have given more detail. What happened to the owner? What about Casey? I was left wanting just a little more. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was cute and cozy, a relatively quick read. I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have enjoyed every book I have read by Ms. Klauer. In so many ways, Breezy's story is like snuggling up in one of her homemade crochet blankets, warm, tender, and filled with crazy, crazy connections!
Not only is Breezy running a crochet business, but she is also raising and homeschooling her teenage sister and her sister's bff from juvie, as well as a gaggle of elders called the Hail Marys, who are role models to us all! Oh… and did I mention that she sees ghosts and helps them through their transition, as well as solves their murders? I mean, much like a chain stitch, this is hooks upon hooks of a story!
In this installment, when two parents in Breezy's Niece Emrys's class die of suspicious causes, one of whom is wrapped up in a Happy Hooker Blanket…. The detective in charge zeroes in on Breezy as the prime suspect. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Breezy seems to know quite a bit more than she should, since she is literally hanging out with the victim!

Knot My Circus Follows Breezy whom is part of a crochet club which she also runs as a business with the help of her sister. Things get mysterious when one of the PTA mom’s is found dead and wrapped in a blanket the club crocheted. Shortly after there’s another murder and Breezy is believed to be the culprit. With the help of the Hail Mary’s and Breezy’s ability to speak to ghosts she is able to prove her innocence to a very unkind detective.
My thoughts:
I absolutely loved reading Knot My Circus. It was such a cute and cozy murder mystery. My favorites where the Hail Mary’s and and I absolutely loved Detective Jax’s character.
In all I recommend this to all who love paranormal murder mysteries. It is such a good read!

Knot My Circus is the 3rd book in the Happy Hookers Crochet Club Mystery series. I've read all three and this was my favorite (so far). The main character Breezy is really cool. She tries to do the right thing and is a good role model for her teenage sister and her sister's friend, who both live with Breezy. The mystery was relatable and interesting. There is a fun ghost element to the book, not scary. There are lots of supporting characters who bring lots of laughs. There is a light romance, nothing heavy. The crochet talk adds to this being a great series. It's a good cozy mystery book. I'm looking forward to many more books in this series. Super cute, fun little cosy mystery. It’s started a bit slow, so I wasn’t sure I would get into it, but I ended up really enjoying it. I will definitely go back and read the first two as it will help me understand the series going forth. The author doesn’t spend a lot of time referring back to previous books which I appreciate it. This is an especially fun series for crocheters. The author includes patterns for things made and described crochet terms ahead of each chapter for the rest of us. The name of the crochet group never fails to tickle me. Definitely a great read for the cosy mystery fans out there! This was not only entertaining and engrossing it was an outstanding cozy mystery. It kept me guessing and turning pages. Best of all, it had ghosts, and I'm a fan of the supernatural. It was intriguing to see ghosts and the live intermingling. Some were very bad and there was corruption in blue too. So many great elements in a short story jam packed with interesting sorts. When all the secrets spill it's miraculous! Check this out. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest review.
Knot My Circus is an engaging, twisted, cozy mystery. I love that Brezzy runs a crochet business with her sister and the sister's juvie bff plus a group of older ladies named the Hail Marys. She is also homeschooling the two girls. Plus she helps ghosts transition. This woman has her hands full! An unhappy detective tries to pin two murders on Breezy. With help from the girls, the Hail Marys and some good ghosts, all the mysteries are resolved. I was fascinated and intrigued while reading this well plotted book. I could not put it down!
Knot My Circus is Book 3 in A Happy Hookers Crochet Club by Becky Klauer. I thought that this was a different fantasy/murder mystery. Breezy loves her crochet club and her sweet dog. The unique ability she has is seeing and communicating with ghost (several live in her house). When her neighbor comes up dead, everyone zeros in on Breezy as the murderer. Jump on board and grab your sleuthing hat and save Breezy. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
This was an engaging paranormal mystery which featured a good selection of ghosts including an evil and terrifying friar and some some household ghosts. I love the 'crochet team' who solve mysteries together. I also loved the burgeoning romance between detective Jax and Breezy, the main protagonist who can see ghosts. I look forward to the next book in the series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What a fun cozy murder mystery with lots of good and some not so good ghosts. Totally enjoyed this story where an unhappy detective is trying to blame Breezy for two deaths. So it is up the the Happy Hookers and her ghosts guests to solve this mystery. And simply enjoyed the actions taken place, and ghosts that help, with a touch of romance that tops off the activity.
Thoroughly funny controlled chaos. Something is always going on otherworldly but Breezy is just trying to make it through the day homeschooling two teens and a crocheting business. These are fun and sweet even if there is a murder involved. Looking forward to the next one. I received this ARC from Booksirens and am happy to leave this review.
This was the first book I have read of this series. It will not be my last. It was well written and so much fun. The mystery was perfect; I had no idea who the villain was. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Love the characters and the way Breezie tries to help everyone. Can't wait to read the next book. Strongly recommend reading.
Delightful read. Wonderful characters. Great storyline. Throw a cat, some cops and transparent friends and you have a sure seller. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Breezy is busy solving murders as she has supernatural powers . There is a lot of humour and suspense to make this captivating from the start. I received this ARC copy via Booksirans and recommend this book to other readers.
A paranormal mystery with multiple ghosts and a woman that can see and talk to them. Breezy it seems is about to solve the mystery of why people are dying. Can she do it without getting killed herself? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
So much fun! Murder, crochet and ghosts- the Happy Hookers are back with a great cozy mystery that will keep you guessing. I received a copy of this nook for free and leave this review voluntarily.
A cozy murder mystery. It does involve crocheting, with a cute name. I hadn't read the others in the series, but it didn't take away from the story. It was a bit slow going.
