I really love the way Tina Spencer writes her books, I listened to the first book in this series and loved it so much that I needed to know what happened next to Zoey & Dominik as the first book is a cliffhanger.
Zoey is Aaron’s little sister and Aaron is Dominik best friend so Zoey is forbidden off limits but that doesn’t Dominik from trying to pre-Sue her. Zoey works with the PR department and Dominik is the caption of the hockey team. Zoey is into BDSM and is on one of those apps for that kind of thing where she meets men that she doesn’t know and hooks up with them what Zoey doesn’t know is it’s been Dominik the whole time she has been hooking up with and they also have a fake dating agreement in place to get Dominik image back into place. Dominik is very protective of Zoey I loved that about him. I also just loved the chemistry between them and the hate and just everything was just hot and amazing.
Alora Daniel is a new female narrator and I really loved her voice and she was the perfect match to play Zoey. Definitely need to find more books she is in.
Sean Masters there is something about his voice that I love maybe because he can play a deep voice and thought he did an amazing job playing Dominik and I love listening to books he is in.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and... holy groveling!! Shattered Hearts takes off right where book 1 left off. First of all, that prologue alone explains so much of this backstory. It all makes so much sense after that... at least in my head. Then the justified anger and sense of betrayal (NOT the cheating kind) that Zoe expresses is completely understandable. Enter Dominik, stage left, followed by the most delicious grovel of all time. That man can apologize to me all day every day!!! Now I will say, this is still a very slow burn but when it does finally burn, it burns so good. The steaminess in this story is just what the doctor ordered. Then you get to that plot twist at the end and my jaw dropped, and my heart broke for Zoe, but was put back together by Dominik. The narration by Alora Daniel and Sean Masters was exquisite. Bringing in Sean to narrate this one couldn't have been a better decision. That man can read me furniture assembly instructions and I'd still melt. In conclusion, great ending to this story!

Shattered Hearts is the second book in the Hudson Yards series. I was in desperate need for this book. This book picks up right where book one left off. Zoe was battling the emotions from finding out Dom’s secret. Zoe has never been loved by anyone other than her brother. She didn’t think Dom was telling the truth. I love how much Dom was willing to do everything in his power to get Zoe to see that he has been obsessed with her since he first laid eyes on her. This book does continue to explore BD$M themes. Dom has become her rock and was willing to loose his friendship just to prove how serious he is about Zoe being his everything. Dom has made me swoon so hard during this series. I love Zoe and Dom so much.
Alora Daniel and Sean Masters did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

Shattered Hearts is book 2 in the Hudson Yards series and it picks up right where that cliffhanger left us in Book 1 Shattered Obsession. You need to listen to book 1 to fully understand what is happening in Shattering Hearts, and trust me it’s worth it. Can I say I’m still fully in love with Dominik’s obsession with Zoe. Especially when these two have to continue “fake dating “ once secrets come out. And not only is this a deliciously spicy dark hockey romance, but the plot was amazing. Alora Daniel was again the perfect choice to bring Zoe to life. And Sean Masters has a warm velvety voice with a yummy growl that had me fully in love. I can’t wait to dig in to Watch Me Burn!
