Insta lust, low stakes, “forbidden love” that’s not even forbidden after 6 months when football season is over… this book tried to be something but it didn’t measure up for me. I was super bored.

Also the pet name “little bird” bothers me. Who tf wants to be called a bird? They’re not cute.

I put off this book for too long, as it was the last book I had of Maggie Gates backlist.
And the start of football season felt like a good time to finally read it.

Tatum & Wren 💕
NFL player x cheerleader & interior designer
🏈

So as you can imagine there’s a bit of forbidden and sneaking around.

It had everything I expect in a MG book.
Witty humor
Emotional bits
A realistic type relationship
Original
Cameos!!!

This was fun. And I feel it is severely under hyped especially when I see football romance recs.

Spoilers ahead, 3.5 rounded up because of the gloriously dedicated chocolate male Tatum

First of all, dark chocolate on the cover 😍

Tatum has just been traded to a new team that fortunately has his old college teammates, his new apartment however is in need of a major do over.....enter Wren an interior designer. From the moment they meet they have intense chemistry, what started as a business meeting, turned into a ONS and then a HEA.

******
My biggest quibble with this book was the transition from ONS to them deciding to be together. It wasn't well done at all, at the end of the ONS from their internal thoughts it was a one time thing then suddenly it's not.
The next is that Wren took too damn long to make up her mind about her jobs when it was clear what the choice would be.....just hemming and hawing for no damn reason
I enjoyed this book aside from those factors, from the moment Tatum decided he wanted more he was alllllll the way in with his little bird and I absolutely loved that. No third act breakup nothing just nothing less than everything for his Wren and that made this book for me.
Wren....eh she was ok
Conflict came from outside the relationship, as a cheerleader for the team a relationship with a player was strictly forbidden so they had to hide and sneak around a lot so she wouldn't get kicked off the team
I'd have liked some more closure on Tatum's dad also. He was sick a dick to his son I wanted him to get his comeuppance.
All in all not a bad book but considering it's an ista lust with a leap to love it definitely could've been shorter

No cheating
H wasn't a manwhore and hadn't been with anyone else
Wren was engaged to a pretentious asshole who broke up with her because of her cheerleader job but thankfully didn't make an appearance

Maggie does it again! I started, like many, with the Beaufort poker club series of maggies and loved it, so I was absolutely ecstatic when found out I was getting an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Well here it is, I loved it!

I'm not one for sports romances but I just couldn't put this book down! I finished it at like 5am because I just needed to know what happened before I went to sleep. I didn't need to know much about football (the sport involved in this sports romance) to understand what was going on in the story. I did ask my S/O a couple things (mainly for the fact he absolutely loves football and a couple things I knew would make him super happy if I asked about them).

Tatum and Wrens story was just beautiful, I loved that Tatum wouldn't let anything stand in his way to be with the woman he loved. Wren being the complete badas* that she was, I think alot (not all because some just don't like it) of people can relate to loving coffee just as much! I don't want to spoil anything for anyone about these 2 but I just loved them so much! I'll be thinking of them for a long time!

I rarely highlight in ebooks but I couldn't stop highlighting quotes and things the characters were saying. I was legit laughing out loud to this book at parts, idk if I was supposed to cry in here but I did sometimes too. The chemistry these two had was perfect, the spice was amazing, I just loved it all. I don't think there was literally anything bad about this book.

Holy Smokes this book was good!!

This is my first ARC review, and I am so happy that it was for such an AMAZING book!

This book is so stinking cute, sappy sweet and fantastically written. I am obsessed with Tatum and Wren and the love that they share! I loved every aspect of this book from the football to the bonus epilogue. It is SUCH an AMAZING book and y’all will NOT be disappointed!

5/5✨

“You in this with me?”
Was I? I had everything to lose.
But also, everything to gain.
I squeezed his pinky back. “Yeah. I’m with you.”
“Good.” He said as he dropped his empty coffee cup in the trash can. “Because I promise to fight for you with nothing less than everything.”
Something rolled around in back of my head. “You say that a lot.”
Tatum shrugged. “Something the team says before games.” He paused as he passed me. “And we’re on the same team.”

This was my first Maggie Gates book but it definitely won’t be the last. Maggie’s writing really captivated you and makes you feel like you’re a part of the story. I was also pleasantly surprised with the spice in this book! Maggie brought the heat! 🔥

Tatum & Wren had amazing chemistry and I really loved that both of the main characters were athletes. I really enjoyed that this book was lower on the angst scale as well. We just focused on Wren & Tatum’s relationship and then trying to make it work despite the obstacles they encountered.

I really loved this book and if you’re looking for a cute, spicy, sports romance read, I definitely think you should check this book out!

First off I just want to say a huge thanks to Maggie for giving me an ARC of her book in exchange for an honest review!

Ok, this book was so freaking cute. I’m absolutely obsessed with Wren and Tatum. The book had the perfect plot to spice ratio and holy hell the spice was good. But it was also incredible sweet and tender. I cannot say enough good things about this book, do yourself a favour and read it immediately!

This was my first Maggie Gates book and I cannot wait to read the rest of her books!

Touchdown!!

I’m on board for everything Maggie writes and I was thrilled to receive an ARC for her first story after BPC. I’m just smiling when I think about Nothing Less Than Everything! I love how this story started off with a bang and I was rooting for Tatum and Wren from the get-go.

Tatum is a dream book boyfriend! He’s muscle, charming, thoughtful, sweet and knows what he wants. He’s not afraid of his feelings for Wren. There were so many one-liners that made you melt throughout this story.

I loved watching Wren grow and discover herself throughout the story. These two had a great connection. I’m a huge fan of Maggie’s spice scenes! Hot stuff!

On a side note, I love me some football and this book got me wanting football season!

Yet another beautiful love story from Maggie Gates, catapulting me into the heart of Tatum and Wren (both names I liked for my unborn child when I was pregnant so at least 3.5 stars were for the solid choice of names!!)

The story is fast-paced and interesting. The characters are likeable with the friendships solid and unwavering. It was refreshing (as with most MG books in fairness) not to have a 3rd act breakup, and yet the drama that usually comes with a 3rd act breakup was sold in other ways.

Maggie Gates just has a way of drawing you in, immersing the reader in the lives of the characters. I am so used to reading her series that i have to keep reminding myself that some books are stand alones!

Another book ticked off for my bingo square of "Read an Authors entire collection" and another 5* for Maggie!

Maggie Gates has done it again! Her characters are so down to earth and completely relatable. I absolutely loved Tatum and Wren from their first “date” all the way to the bonus epilogue. Maggie really knows how to write not only amazing stories, but characters who you wish were real so you could be friends with. I can’t wait until we get Annie’s story in the next few months.

I received an advanced reader copy of Nothing Less Than Everything in exchange for my honest review.

"I would rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies. They total the same, but a quarter is far more valuable on its own that a penny. If you judge a piggy bank based on weight alone, you'd think someone with a hundred pennis is richer. People measure fullness differently, but love equalizes. It shows us the few things in life that are really worth it. And I think this is what love looks like." -Tatum, Nothing Less Than Everything

Wren and Tatum have been through a lot leading up to this novel. Wren is an interior designer with a degree in architecture, a recently ended engagement, a knee injury, who is still getting over the loss of her mom. Tatum is a professional football player with a highly critical father who was recently traded to a new team. When Wren is assigned by her company to decorate Tatum's penthouse apartment, sparks fly. They are both extremely attracted to one another and find comfort in each others arms. But, in an interesting twist of events, Tatum finds out that Wren is a cheerleader for his new team, and there are rules that prevent them from dating. But these rules can't keep Wren and Tatum apart, they are already in too deep to turn back now. So they are forced to keep their relationship a secret or risk the jobs that they both love.

I really enjoyed this novel, it was sweet, spicy, and full of laughs. The spice started early, with the Wren and Tatum *enjoying* each other for the first time about 13% through the book. However, this does not take away from the buildup, which I think speaks to Maggie's skills as an author. This book was an interesting combination of secret romance, workplace romance, and sports romance. I also enjoyed that it didn't follow the typical romance timeline, where there has to be a giant break up about 85% of the way through. Tatum is stubborn and refuses to let Wren end what is between them, because he knows that whatever the consequences may be, what they have is worth fighting for.

This book was great, and I can't wait to read more from Maggie Gates, she does such a good job making her characters relatable, and she has never told the same story twice. I highly recommend any of her books.

I really love Maggie and the way she writes. It’s seemingly effortless (I know it’s not) and she has a knack for creating genuine dialogue between characters.

The steam is WOOF. The characters are swoon. The plot is original. I also love that this book didn’t involve much angst or twists and turns - instead the development of characters felt organic and genuine.

Possible spoiler……

The way that Tatum supports Wren while she struggles to discover her passion and identity is really gratifying. If he doesn’t steal the hearts of readers, then they are psychopaths.

Once again, Maggie nails it in romance. Get after it girl.

I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book! I absolutely loved Maggie Gate’s last series, the Beaufort Poker club and was curious how this would compare. Let’s just say Maggie has done it again!!! The way she tells stories and writes her character’s pull you in from the first page.

Wren is an interior designer who also dances for the Ladies in Red, the cheerleaders for the Rhode Island Red Cocks. She has had a horrible year. Her mom passed away, she tore her ACL and broke up with her finace.

Tatum is drafted to play this season with the Rhode Island Red Cocks. He meets Wren when she is hired as the interior designer to work on his new penthouse.

Wren and Tatum are incredible together. They have an instant attraction to each other but quickly find out they cannot be a couple due to contracts that forbid football players and cheerleaders on the team to date. The pull they have for each other makes staying away from each other impossible. They have so many obstacles to overcome but nothing is too much for Wren and Tatum. The chemistry they have together makes them both willing to fight through anything to be together. The things they say to each other will have you laughing, crying and swooning all in one book. Wren and Tatum prove that true love can help people overcome challenges and learn to see difficult things in a new light. Top all this off with a ton of spice and steamy scenes and you honestly can’t ask for a better book!

For Maggie’s Beaufort poker club fans you will also get some fun little throw in’s from some of our poker club friends.

“Not everything is a catch and release. Sometimes you realize what you have and hold on with all your might.”

“I want you to accept the fact that you, Wren Porter, are extraordinary.”

I was lucky enough to make it onto the ARC team for this release and...oh. my. gosh. I'm truly obsessed with this book. The amount of highlighting and notes i've made while reading this book...

I don't say this lightly - NLTE has made it securely into my top 3 reads of the year so far. And Maggie Gates is in my top 5 authors.

I loved everything about this book. There is truly not one thing I would've wanted to be different. I fell in love with Tatum insanely quick and then also fell head over heels for Wren. You can always count on Maggie to give us a top tier book boyfriend AND a top tier book girlfriend in one book!!!

I loved the forbidden aspect of the book and with that came some of my favourite moments - *cough* the coat room *cough* 🫠

THE SPICE. THE MF SPICE. it was next level-grab-a-drink-and-some-batteries level good. 🫠

I loved the other characters too - so much. Sam had my heart and I'd love to know more about her and her wife! I also loved the character development from Seth. The part outside the office where he spoke up for them...MY. HEART. 🥹

The ending (the bonus epilogue) had my heart soaring. The amount of diversity in this book just made my heart so happy. One of my favourite quotes from the whole book was "love has to be unconditional because everything else changes" and that will stick with me.

This book had everything I loved and everything I didn't know I needed. And Maggie truly gave us nothing less than everything with this release. 🤍 BEYOND excited to read more from this author. Now if you need me i'll be rereading this book for eternity bc i lost my soul to this couple 🥹

I was graciously given this book as an ARC

Wren is an interior designer and a dancer for the Rhode Island Reds. Her plate is full, she has no time distractions in her life. It isn't until she's commissioned to design the home of Tatum Bryant, Their first meeting doesn't go as planned but sparks seem to fly and their attraction to one another is too hot not to act on.

Tatum, a football star, a legacy name, living in his fathers shadow. He is determined to make something of himself. He is working hard at making his team and coaches proud. Until he meets with his interior designer and can't seem to stay away from her.

Unknown to the both of them, their worlds are about to become a lot closer. When they find out they work for the same team, With rules to never mix business and pleasure, Wren and Tatum must hide their passion for each other.

These two were swoon worthy. their passion was felt from the very beginning. they cant seem to stay away from each other! i loved watching their passion grown and them be with each other even with their past traumas

3/5 SPICE

I was blessed to get an ARC of Nothing Less Than Everything to read before the release date. This standalone from Maggie Gates gets infinite heart eye emojis from me instead of stars. Maggie has a way of writing chemistry between characters that has me judging every relationship I've ever been in under a very specific lens. Tatum and Wren are such a swoon-worthy couple, and navigating their relationship hurdles is where the real tension lies. Tatum is such a marshmallow for Wren, and I am HERE FOR IT!

Listen, for a girl who couldn't give a rip about sports, I will devour a sports romance, and this one is sweet as pie!  (And steamy!!! 🥵🥵🥵)

For all my friends who have heard me gush about the Beaufort Poker Club series, we get a couple name drops and a cameo!  Seriously, go read that series too! 😉  Maggie writes characters that feel real, like people you could know and love in your own life. Her books are an instant add to cart for me! No questions asked. Nothing Less Than Everything is available on July 19th!

Tatum & Wren. What can I say? I LOVE them. Maggie's ability to take characters & make them feel real & relatable always astounds me. Both MCs had real-life challenges going on & seeing them navigate through those with communication, growth, & maturity was incredible. I also love how organic their relationship felt. Maggie does a great job of showing what building a healthy relationship looks & feels like. This read was low-angst, fun & flirty, SPICY*, & just an absolute all-around awesome read for me. I did cry some happy tears & my husband was like "Are you, okay babe?" "Yes. I'm okay. It's just so good & sweet."

Tatum, Tatum, TATUM! He was so swoon-worthy, charming, & HOT AF! He knew exactly what he wanted & wasn't afraid of being upfront & making it known.

Wren. My girl! What a powerful, fun, & confident woman! Watching her grow through her life's challenges was amazing & healing. She was really relatable & easy to connect with for me.

I absolutely loved & definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you Maggie for an ARC! I'm grateful for the opportunity & don't take it for granted.

*I will say, in my opinion, this is the spiciest book Maggie has written & there are no complaints from me.

This is a stand-alone so it's not required to have read the other books. However, if you've read them(the BPC series) then you'll get the cameos. ALSO, there is a side character named Sam!!! I loved her! I was so excited to find that! I always say everybody needs a friend named Sam.

Tatum and Wren’s entire story was magical to me. I’m not typically a sports romance reader, but this is Maggie, and anything she writes is an immediate yes for me. I LOVED getting to know these two, and some of the other red cocks (it is definitely a cock not a chicken 😜).

This book brought the steam!!! It felt daring to me, I typically get so invested in slow burns, and this got super steamy super fast.

This book deserves more than five stars, I will be purchasing it in multiple formats, and reading every single one over and over. Do yourself a favor and pick up at least one

Pros: available on kindle unlimited, not super angst, funny, full of love and romance and big feelings that make me sigh.

Tatum and Wren oh my.  ♡their pinky hooking thing they do discreetly is ADORABLE
Wren

*interior designer/cheerleader. She can do it all.Shes not afraid to get her hands dirty

Tatum plays for the Rhode Island Red Cocks #69🐔   He's the total package.  He is handsome, charm the pants off you, funny and so thriughtful.

Their relationship is forbidden because of their team rules but that's not stopping them.their banter is hilarious. His nickname "little bird " for Wren is adorable.  His sweet talk turned dirty talk can make a nun blush .

How does Maggie keep doing it?! Another book for the top of the charts! This standalone is one of my absolute favorite reads this summer!
Tatum is a professional football player and Wren is an interior designer (and cheerleader). She gets hired to make Tatum's new apartment a little more "homey" when one thing leads to another. Both characters are so relatable with their down-to-earth personalities and their real-life struggles. Through it all they promise, "Nothing Less Than Everything" to each other. Prepare yourselves for some A+ spicy scenes, super sweet kisses, and just heart melting moments.

Maggie did it again! 👏👏👏
I am so thankful to have received this as an ARC.

I absolutely loved Wren and Tatum’s story. I always love Maggie’s ability to write a character so that the reader understands them as a person, friend and lover.
Tatum’s tough guy exterior mixed with his vulnerability and confidence in the bedroom made him completely and utterly swoonworthy. Wren’s girl next door meets sexy cheerleader made her both relatable and enviable! The chemistry between the two was palpable and added just the right amount of spice!
If you’re looking for a sexy, sweet sports romance then this is the book for you!

This book had everything I have come to expect from a Maggie book! Spice, swoon worthy moments, small town vibes and humor. Maggie has absolutely done it again with this forbidden workplace sports romance. Tatum is a total sweetie but don’t let that fool you, because in the bedroom 🥵🥵🥵. I love how supportive he is of Wren’s dreams and makes sure she knows it. Their journey as a couple through all the changes was beautiful! This is another perfect Maggie book! Thank you for making such beautiful escapes for us readers 💕💕

Wow!! After having a bit of a book hangover from Maggie Gates Poker Club series as I loved it so much this latest standalone book does not disappoint!

A fantastic story with another of Gates’ strong independent female leads in Wren and a strong alpha male in Tatum.

The writing is really beautiful and powerful with enough spice and ups and downs but also a really enjoyable read getting into the world of football, cheerleading and interior design!

This love at first sight is a must read for summer!! I promise you will fall in love with Wren “little bird” and Tatum as I did!

Oh my word. This book. THIS BOOK! First, let me just say that Maggie has quickly become a must read author for me, and I will have ALL of her books on my shelf someday.

Just when I think Maggie can't outdo herself (I'm still thinking about Betting Man daily), she does.

Tatum and Wren's story was sweet, fun, and entertaining! I was hooked from the very beginning. The witty banter, the spice, relatavke characters, and the nods to her previous series warmed my heart. This is a beautiful contemporary sports romance, about change and choosing to go for something great over something good - giving your life and happiness nothing less than everything. Thank you Maggie for this heart warming story. Loved every minute of it!

I was fortunate enough to be able to make the ARC team for this book and I have to say: Congratulations Maggie, this was an absolutely beautiful story!

For all those that have read the Beaufort poker club, meet Will Solomon’s rival! A hero that is a soft teddy, that is strong and supportive and sexy as all get out! Naturally, our heroine is strong, independent, hard working and an overall inspiration for many little girls out there!

This book is about strength, endurance and perseverance, with a couple that emphasizes hope in love and it’s ability to overcome the odds.

I loved too how Maggie highlighted issues much different than those in any of her other writings, because sometimes in life the problems are what they are without people getting in their own way, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be overcome with love and a bit of courage. This couple is the perfect example that happiness is possible when you give nothing less than everything to each other.

This story is chock full of romance, spice, laughter, true friendship, family in various forms and inspiring personalities that accept nothing less than happiness and perseverance.

It’s a stand alone feel good story that will leave you with all the feels and fuzzies in your heart!

Moreover, fans of the Beaufort Poker Club might get a happy little surprise…

P.S. I loved this story so much, when I saw the tackle was based on something that happened I had to go watch it!
