One of the vaguest books I've ever read. Apparently, a curse needs to be broken, but all context is missing. It reads like a lyrical and poetically written nightmare. It might be your thing, but unfortunately, it's not mine.

When I started this book, I was a little confused as to what was happening. There was so much going on; however, as the story continued, it was easy to follow along. Two fated mates, stuck in a constant loop of death and rebirth, forced to watch each other die, only to find each other again. The caveat, depending on who dies first, the other is the one to hold on to that memory. So the question now begs: how do you stop the loop? How do you break the cycle? How do you destroy the Brotherhood that wants to own everything you are?
Claire, a magical healer, and Kade, a dragon shifter, are once again reunited. Kade is distant, while Claire is trying to piece everything together, including her connection with Kade. While healing a creature in the woods, Claire is taken hostage by The Brotherhood. They take her to their stronghold and force her to heal a dragon. Not just any dragon, one Claire recognizes as having been the love of her life. Over and over again, these two find each other, only to be torn apart and they end up going through the cycle again and again. This is truly a beautiful story of true love. I picked this book up at 9 p.m. on a Tuesday. I finished it at 3 a.m., sitting on my kitchen floor because I had forgotten to move. Claire just wanted to help a wounded creature in the woods. That one act of kindness got her kidnapped, chained in a dungeon, and bonded to a cursed dragon shifter whose eyes somehow already knew her name. What destroyed me was the reincarnation thread the idea that these two souls have found each other across multiple lifetimes, only to be torn apart every single time. Every past-life vision hit like a freight train. By the time the final choice arrived immortality or love I was a wreck. Ravan Tempest did not come to play. This book is the kind of story that settles inside your chest and refuses to leave. 5/5.

What Ravan Tempest accomplishes in Shadows of the Cursed Dragon is genuinely impressive for a debut. She takes two well-worn tropes fated mates and reincarnation and layers them with a moral complexity that elevates the whole story. Claire's dilemma is not simply "love vs. duty." It is a question of what love is actually worth when it costs you your very nature. Giving up immortality is not just a romantic sacrifice; it is an identity sacrifice. And Kade, for all his menace, is written with enough interiority that you understand his centuries of suffering without ever excusing the darkness it created. The gryphon companion was an unexpected emotional anchor. A beautifully written start to a series.

This book was such a fun escape! From the very beginning, the idea of Santa and Sandra trying to be “normal” tourists had me hooked, because you just know it’s not going to end well. The hotel takeover plot kept things lively, and I loved the way the author wove in all the funny little mishaps that only Santa could cause.
Even though it’s laugh-out-loud funny, the writing also has warmth, which is why it works so well. Santa isn’t a caricature he’s lovable, clumsy, and well-meaning, which makes the chaos all the better. Sandra’s determination for peace added another layer of comedy. It’s the kind of story you breeze through and immediately want to recommend.

What a fantastic continuation of the Santa Saga! This third book manages to keep everything fresh while building on the charm of the earlier stories. Sandra’s dream of a quiet holiday is such a relatable setup, and Santa’s constant talent for turning good intentions into disaster was as funny as ever. The hotel rivalry made the plot really engaging without losing the humor.
I especially enjoyed how the author captures that mix of comedy and heart you laugh at the mess, but you also root for Santa and Sandra along the way. It’s such a unique series and this book in particular made me wish it could be adapted for the screen. Highly entertaining from start to finish.

This was a delightful read from beginning to end. The idea of Santa on holiday, trying to stay low-profile while still meddling in other people’s problems, is just too good. The scenes with the rival hotel manager were some of my favorites hilarious and clever at the same time.
But what stood out most was how warm and engaging the writing feels. The humor is laugh-out-loud, yet it never loses its heart. Sandra, as always, grounds the story, and her exasperation is as entertaining as Santa’s mischief. It’s witty, light, and leaves you smiling long after you’ve finished. Definitely a five-star read.

I couldn’t stop laughing while reading this book! Sandra’s hope for a normal holiday is completely shattered by Santa’s well-meaning but chaotic interventions. From trying to help the struggling hotel manager to unintentionally sabotaging the rival, every moment is packed with humor and clever twists that kept me engaged throughout.

This is one of the most emotional fantasy romances I’ve read in a long time. The heroine’s journey from healer to soulmate, from confusion to full-hearted love, felt authentic and earned.
