I enjoyed the Stone brothers, it was a look at womanizers who finally get wrangled- I guess it happens? LOL! It was a cute story and a nice wrap up for the Stone brothers.
I am so sorry to see this series end as I have really enjoyed each of the stories.
I have loved Slade through the other books and couldn't wait for his story and it didn't disappoint. Slade is hot and hilarious, the things he says throughout this book had me laughing out loud. I thought Britton was a great character, she was a little nuts but not a down beaten character that gave Slade a run for his money in the sass department.
Slade and Britton meet when he rescues her from a bar brawl and their connection initially seems like a hot one night stand but revenge plays a hand in bringing them back together and plays a part in where their story takes them as Slade agrees to help Britton track down her sisters ex for answers to her death. Along the way things quickly change for the two of them but Slade senses Britton is holding back on him and is left reeling when the truth comes out.
A brilliant conclusion to this great series and I loved this book I think the best of the series. Just sad that there isn't a few more Stone brothers out there.
Stone Deep is the 3rd & last book in the Stone Brothers by Tess Oliver & it centres around Slade, the middle brother & the one who've we seem the least of, so far. He's the only one to keep up their father's occupation as a firsherman but only on a casual basis. With Colt & Hunter settled down & working on a project together, Slade is pretty much at a loose end & applies to join a crew up in the Baring Sea. He's hanging out till the season starts & one night, while out drinking he sees a cute, tiny "fairy" trying to get some information from 3 rough looking guys at the bar. Things turn ugly & he rescues the girl, after beating the 3 guys. Her name is Britton (but he calls her "Tink) & she's looking for answers about the death of her twin sister. Falling for Slade Stone was the furtherest thing on her mind, but... As always, Tess Oliver delivered a great series about 3 Alpha-heroes & the strong women who tame & claim them. I honestly can't choose between Hunter, Slade & Colt...is it too greedy to want all three of them? Read the series, & please let me know!!
Slide Stone, may just be my favorite! He was hot, sexy, funny and has a hero side to him that makes me want more. If there's more Slade I will definitely be reading. Britton & Slade road trip and while on my own road trip I found this to be perfect reading material. High fives and five stars for Tess & Anna, you did it again.
I would have read it all in one sitting, family vacation interrupted but I loved it.
All the Stone boys have charm and charisma but Slade takes the cake, “that’s mostly because your dress was distracting me. It kept inching up as you were sleeping, making it impossible for me to get drowsy.” His compliments are really sexy, “I like the bikini.” He lifted his face and kissed me. “Now come inside so I can take it off." The Stone boys are all alpha men who fall hard when they meet the women they want. I love this series all the boys are sexy and great boys.
ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.....
Fantastic Read !!! Tess Oliver has yet again wrote a winning story. Slade & Britton - chemistry, steamy romance, witty dialogue, captivating story line and a HEA......yup meets all my perfect book criterion. Defiantly well worth a read. Well done Tess for another outstanding read !!!
I think by far Slade was my favorite Stone brother!!! He's cocky but so down to earth and always the first to help out!!! Britton was a sweetie but sassy chick how was perfect companion to Slade!!! Lived all the back and forth banter between them... Book had great flow and some serious sexy scenes and heart stopping moments!!! Lived the whole series!!!!
I really enjoyed this book in that it added a nice empathetic uber male mc without a totally distressed in need of a hero female lead. That in itself was refreshing. The characters and the storyline was very plausible and that makes me enjoy the book even more. The steamy scenes were very....steamy and that helped too
Slade & Tinks story is the last of the 3 brothers story. Another easy to read romance - this time slades on a road trip trying to save the day. Must read series in order as this book continues after Hunter & Colts books.
Hunter and Colt have been snatched up by the women of their dreams. Slade is the last Stone brother who is single and he has no idea how to change his status or what to do for a career choice now that they are out of the boat transportation business.
Hanging out with friends at the local bar he meets a feisty wood fairy. Britton is on a quest to find her sisters former boyfriend and have some questions answered as to the death of her twin. Britton has been lost without Perris and she needs closure. Damon holds some of the answers but she has to track him down. Britton gets herself into some trouble at the local bar and Slade comes to her aid.
After being rescued by her hunky hero Britton decides to just go for it and give herself a crazy wild ride with Slade.
Slade is a trouble magnet and after his encounter with the beautiful Britton he sees her again after another encounter with the bar guys.
Slade has a plan to help Britton track down Damon but she’s not going alone. They have a great time together on their road trip with further complicates their feelings for one another and where this will lead for them. Damon is little help to Britton but she has some closure and can move forward.
Slade finds out a secret that Britton kept from him that changes their relationship and Slade moves forward with his new career of an Alaskan Fisherman. Britton gets her life straight and can return to Slade hoping it’s not too late to continue a relationship.
I liked the easy flow of the relationship the main characters formed. I liked that even though Slade was hurt by Britton’s secret he let her take time to figure it out and then listened when she come back into his life to explain. I did not like how the book just kind of ended. You see how it ends for the couple but I felt I needed a little more glimpse to their future and closure for the Stone family.
Last in the series. Slade is obviously the most personable, considerate one of the Stone brothers. Though you don't really get to know much about him in the first two books you do still find yourself wanting to know his story. Whilst it was enjoyable, I also found it a bit boring and far too reliant on sexual scenes. It was almost as though there really wasn't a story to tell about Slade but the author felt compelled to write a story about each of the brothers so had to complete the series with Slade's book. It didn't seem to go anywhere, didn't hold any excitement and was just boring to read. I also found it unbelievable that there was no mention or correlation made between Britton's sister Parris dying from a drug overdose, Britton hating both drugs and Parris's drug-supplying ex boyfriend as a result and the irony of Britton getting together with Slade who had once earned his living as a drug supplier!! Why didn't the author use that tangent to add depth to the story? Wasted opportunity.
“Stone Deep” masterfully concludes the Stone Bros trilogy, leaving me breathless and eager for more from Tess Oliver. This final installment focuses on Slade, the middle brother, as he navigates love, danger, and redemption.
After a chance encounter with Britton, Slade’s life is forever changed. As they face numerous challenges, their connection deepens, but Britton’s secrets threaten to tear them apart.
Oliver expertly weaves twists, turns, and action-packed scenes, keeping readers on the edge. Steamy moments and well-developed supporting characters add depth to the story.
Questions keep you hooked: What drives Britton’s past? Will Slade find happiness? Does he take the Alaska job?
The series concludes beautifully, tying loose ends and giving fans a satisfying ending. Tess Oliver’s writing shines, making it impossible not to fall for the Stone brothers.
A stunning conclusion to an unforgettable trilogy. I devoured every page, and the 5-star rating is well-deserved.
STONE DEEP (Stone Bros. #3) Slade and Britton's Story Slade is the last Stone brother to find his HEA, and he's been relentlessly teasing Hunter and Cole for being obsessed with their women. The tables are now turned! Slade meets Britton under precarious circumstances and there's an instant attraction. Britton is looking for answers regarding the death of her twin sister and Slade decides her wants to help her. So the adventure begins. I loved their banter, he really had a funny sense of humor dealing out some one liners that made me snicker. I found the more I read about these brothers, the more I liked them. They had a terrible childhood but rose above it. This series is a definite must read in my opinion!
This book started so well. We finally get to Slade Stone’s story. He meets Britton as she is starting a bar fight. Their relationship is so sweet and cute (and spicy….but that’s a given at this point in the series). They had perfect banter back and forth and I loved how he was there for her.
But then the story just ends. It felts so unfinished. Kind of a let down.
Do I regret buying the series? No. Do I like that these weren’t billionaires that could buy their way out of everything? Also yes. Do wish they were a little longer and had a little more sustained? (This one took me a couple of hours to read). Yes.
The least bad of the three books. The authors certainly enjoy butts…. Even more so in this book than the other two. So if you enjoy that you might enjoy the spice scenes This brother is only about 15% garbage which is a damn near miracle considering his brother. As a male lead he’s not bad at all The female lead is pretty cool but the whole petite woman getting called a fairy is so over played
All in all- these books are well written- albeit boring and sometimes disturbing. I suspect they are well educated but not necessarily the most creative. I will not be reading more from them; I need more plot
Slade is every girls dream! Always doing what needs to be done to protect everyone, even if it means he sacrifices himself. He becomes “Tinks” hero when he saves her from 3 biker gang members who she targets as one is the brother of the man who is connected to her sister’s death. He helps her figure out that Damon was in the house the night Paris committed suicide. She finally has closure thanks to Slade. Unfortunately she didn’t trust him enough to tell him about Ryan and it looks like it will destroy them. However, when it is meant to be, the stars align and they make their way back together. She is the first and only girl to steal Slade’s heart. ❤️

Great story. Almost odd, in comparison to the first two this almost reads like a different author.
Characters are both lovable and the relationship builds smoothly. The spice is spicy! And this is by far the best brother. No cheating with other girls. Lots of meaningful conversations. This felt like a true love story unfolding and it gives you all the feels of a new blossoming romance!
I’d say skip the first two, if not then at least skip the second book. That one is awful. But don’t skip this one! Truly a great story!
HEA: Yes Cliffhanger: No Series: yes continues with next generation Spice: yes, open door, spicy
Slade is the level headed brother, but he still will fight for those he cares about or for a little wood sprite he thinks of as tinkerbell. He always finds himself in trouble and cold water. Britton,is tinkerbell to the big giant that seems to save her at every turn. She has been lost for a while after losing her twin and blaming herself. Meeting Slade was the best thing to happen to her, although she has caused him a lot of pain. The man just can't seem to leave her mind, but can he ever forgive her for not being wholly honest with him? Such a great story.
This end of the trilogy was certainly much better than the previous book, but let’s face it: how hard could that have been? I still don’t like this “hi-bang-bye” routine. I prefer to see the romance between the main characters building up page by page, but at least this heroin wasn’t a loser like Amy, from the second book. Slade was definitely a super hero and I loved his character. It’s the only reason I’m giving this book 3 stars instead of 2, since the story itself was shallow and lukewarm.
Slade is in the right place at the right time - crap is hitting the fan, when a tiny woman walks in the bar and pulls a gun and points it at three men, she wants answers NOW!, apparently.
Britton has lost her sister, and Damon is the only man who knows what truly happened; but he is in hiding - Britton needs to find him.
Thankfully, Slade steps in to help the little pixie - and meets his future!
This was my favorite of the Stone brothers books. I don’t know if the writing was just getting better or what. But I liked it much better than the first one. This is Slade’s story, the perpetual ladies man. Bring the hood guy he always is, he got into a fight with the wrong guys, standing up for a girl in trouble. Then he fell hard and fast for the girl, and she fell hard and fast right back. There were a couple bumps in the road, but it looks like they’re getting their HEA. Cute story.
Slade and Britton. Slade finds his HEA and Britton gets closure on her sisters death. The turn has some crazy moments with violent potential and emotional secrets, but overall is a face value romance and story where the third brother gets his HEA. Britton/Tink is a fun character and addition to the stone family, but I do wish more time was spent on developing her marriage problems, family dynamic, Damon’s response, etc.
I listened on audible and the female narrator was not good in my opinion. She can’t do the male voice they all sounded the same and very slow. The story line wasn’t too bad but I expected more of a solid conclusion for Britton and Slade and had hoped for updated on the other brothers like maybe a wedding or baby.
Another stunning stone hooked up! What can I say? I want to be in the throws of a Stone! (Melting with desire!) All I can say is Tess makes these brothers so damn desirable, the immense feelings they are just all in, possessive and heartbreakingly hot. Makes weak at the knee! Another excellent read.
Have now read all 3 of the Stone Brothers Stories and how they found their forever women. All 3 stories so similar but different. I loved that Jade,Amy and Britt were all such strong women to match the strong Stone Men. Each book is a quick read but all have enough depth to have u feeling all the emotions. ❤️❤️❤️
I liked Slade the best out of the brothers, and this book was by far the best one of the three. Slade didn't try to fight how he felt about Britton, and he didn't screw around or flirt with OW while he was seeing her.
The Stone brothers are hot as hell, sex on a stick is an understatement. Jade and Colt Street and Hunter and my favorite couple Slade and Britton. Wow. Wish I had a Stone Brother in my life.
You can't help but fall in love with Slade. The characters in this series are loveable. Despite their hardship growing up they turned out pretty well. Well written Tess!
