The Heart of the Mountain Beast was another very good read by Emma.
I absolutely loved the imagery of the snowy maintain scenes. I was excited to have a sequel to book 1 and am really looking forward to reading book 3.

An epic icy mountain adventure retelling of beauty and the beast! Even with your best sidekick chip, in a sweet loving husky form! Emma did an amazing job weaving her characters from book one into book two. Both can be read as a standalone, but are more of a treat of read in order. The sweet slow burn clean romance of Silas and Primose had me smiling and rooting for them right from their very first meeting! Truly, an endearing love story full of plenty of battle, hardship, and twists around every corner! I loved this retelling and look forward to book three coming out someday! 🙌

This is an exciting and charming adventure with a spirited heroine and hero, who both deserve to be loved. While there are lovely nods to Beauty and the Beast, I thoroughly enjoyed how there are added unique twists and turns that made this story charming and original in its own lovely way. Get ready for hidden lurking danger, great secrets, heart and emotions. It’s the protectiveness, steadfast kindness, witty banter, quiet strength, bravery, trust, and compassion that shines bright within that had my heart. I loved how loyalty and love are stitched beautifully within. Watching walls around hearts be able to melt and open the door to joy was tender. This is a dear story part of a wonderful series worth the read. But, please start with book one to fully love the whole picture. It’s worth it, absolutely. I look forward to more, ahead!📚💯✨

What an adventure! I love this Beauty and the Beast retelling. It is so clever and had me hooked. This book flew by so quickly for me. It took me on a wonderful adventure and I loved getting lost in the pages!
Primrose is such a bright and lovely character. Silas is broody and guarded. Their love story is tender and healing with one of my all-time favorite tropes. The ‘love you as you are’ trope is so beautifully done. It touched my heart!
This book takes you on a perilous journey through the icy mountains. You have beautiful sights, tender moments, heart racing danger, friendship, and of course the sweetest and swooniest romance!
I love the author’s clever nods to the original fairytale with her twist and turns that make it exciting and so enjoyable! There are beloved characters from book one and new characters to love! I loved getting more of their story!

I loved jumping back into this world with these loveable characters! I was so excited to follow Silas and his story and I was not disappointed - his backstory was so tragic, yet he is such a beautiful character all round. And I loved Primrose!! Belle was always my favourite Disney princess so how could I not love Primrose?!
I love the little sprinkles of other fairytale characters in this story, like Lina (Rapunzel) and Snow (Snow White). I especially loved how Snow’s dogs were all named after the dwarves!!!
I loved the setting in this story, how it took place mainly in the snowy mountains. I could picture it all so well and I felt it was built successfully.
Once again, I love Emma’s writing! It is genuinely so beautiful. The amount I have highlighted from this book is crazy! I just cannot get enough!! I hope she will always continue to write, to share her amazing worlds with us.

Love love LOVED IT!!
Had to finish this in a day! No way I was waiting, finished around 2.45am and it was worth it all!
Emma has the most amazing ability to hint and nod at fairytales but not stray into the realm of tacky. She keeps the characters so very real, with depth and grit in such a short space of time.
I’m now not so patiently waiting for the next instalment! I neeeeeeeed to know what happens next! ;)
The only thing I’m having to get over is the size of the books, I’m used to reading big chunky books! I want them to last longer! Yet at the same time, weirdly there is no aspect of the story lacking due to them being shorter than I’m used too. Kinda like The Doctors Tardis! Small in side but mighty in its internal abilities.
Keep going Emma, I’m excited to see more 🥰

This book was incredible! I didn’t think it could get any better than the first book - Esme’s story, but I was happily proven wrong. It was the perfect mixture of excitement and adventure, combined with quiet moments, heartwarming conversations and the most beautifully developed romance. I was touched by the messages surrounding family, duty, brotherhood, and the feelings of inadequacy certain characters suffer with - and the powerful love that overcomes this. I found it incredibly satisfying noticing links to fairy tale stories, and how cleverly the plot began to fall into place. I’m so excited to read the next book - I just need to know what happens next!!

Continuing on with the world of The Woven Fates we now have a unique retelling of Beauty and the Beast with hints of Snow White also. They are seeking the lost princess, a nod to Rapunzel, and Primrose knows where she is. This group goes on a treacherous journey and you really see everyone's characters come out. Silas feels like a beast because of the sins of his past but Primrose sees past that. I loved the grumpy/sunshine vibes and how Silas grew very protective of her. Another brilliant story in this series that kept me on the edge of my seat!

This beautifully woven retelling completely swept me away! I was thrilled to return to this world after the first book and quickly fell head over heels for Silas and Primrose. Their love story, set in a snowbound journey full of danger and secrets, was gentle and full of so much emotion and heart!!
While there are echoes of Beauty and the Beast, the author adds her own unique twists, making the story feel fresh and original. Silas’s gruffness paired with Primrose’s quiet strength and compassion was the perfect grumpy/sunshine combo, and watching him slowly fall for her (despite all his efforts not to!) was absolutely swoony. I adored how protective he was, and how her steady kindness helped thaw even the most frozen parts of his heart
And ohhh, the banter! I lived for every interaction between the friends! Jack and Felix’s stories cannot come fast enough. The loyalty and love in their little found-family group gave the story so much heart!

Well this was adorable.
I loved the first book in this series, Where the Cinders Whisper, so I was so excited to jump into book two! And y'all. It did not disappoint. This book is so good!
I'm fairly certain The Heart of the Mountain Beast has it all. A grumpy, closed off hero and an outgoing, courageous heroine. A plethora of references to the Beauty and the Beast fairytale this story is based off (plus nods to a handful of other fairytales as well!). A secret mission. Rebels bent on sabotaging said mission. Dog sleds and huskies. Perilous winter conditions. Narrow escapes and daring rescues. Good guys you can't help but cheer for. Villains that deserve a facer. The swooniest romance. Seriously, what is there not to love here?!
If this book isn't on your TBR lists yet what are you even doing?! Put it there pronto. Then read it and love it. You're welcome.
*while technically you could probably read this series out of order, this one will definitely make more sense if you've read book one first. What a sweet retelling of Beaty and the Beast! This is book two in The Woven Fate Series and it's a perfect continuation of Where the Cinders Whisper! It is best to read them in order so you can appreciate each characters growth and personality!
This story is a sweet, clean romance full of hope! At it's heart, we all deserve to love and be loved.

So this book started out with such promise! I enjoyed the characters and it was again fun to see how Emma decided to do a beauty and the beast retelling and I loved how she wove in Rapunzel, Snow White and hinted at Red Riding Hood. This book was a lot shorter than the first and because of that, there were a lot of things rushed and plots jumped forward. I did not love how this book ended. The entire book was supposed to be about rescuing Lina/Remi and instead they had a wedding? That wedding came out of nowhere and I felt it was a little tacky to stop everything they were doing to get married after people in their party were almost killed..... I don't know, it didn't work for me. I get that more books are coming but I think this one could have been 100 pages longer to flesh things out a little more.

That wedding came out of nowhere and I felt it was a little tacky to stop everything they were doing to get married after people in their party were almost killed..... I don't know, it didn't work for me. I get that more books are coming but I think this one could have been 100 pages longer to flesh things out a little more.

What an adventurous story! Love when these stories that take you on journeys and in fun ways (dog sleds!k) with great characters!
