International bestselling author of twenty-five thrillers, including fourteen in the Joe Hawke action-adventure series and The Hunter Files. All available for the Amazon Kindle.
After enjoying the series; first two novels, I gladly reached for the third story in the collection by Rob Jones. Max Hunter recently found some mysteries about Atlantis, a lifelong mission. After becoming part of HARPA, a group within the US Government to protect antiquities, he joins them on a new mission. After making their way to Norway, HARPA are asked to locate a stolen item that was once on the Titanic’s voyage from London to New York. This relic is not only important to a collector, but might open new mysteries and riches to anyone who holds it and understands its importance. As the team heads from Norway and across Europe, they are once more targeted by evil doers who want nothing but the riches and to shed much blood. Rob Jones impresses with this action-packed piece and has me completely hooked.
When a call comes in to James Gates, he knows just what to do. As Director of the Heritage, Artifacts, and Relics Protection Agency (HARPA), Gates knows he needs the team in Norway to investigate the theft of a Titanic artefact. When the HARPA team arrives, it begins as a means to help Gates ensure a friend is served well, but things soon take a turn.
One of the artefacts is not only something that was on the fateful Titanic voyage in 1912, but serves as a relic that is part of a larger collection that could lead to many riches. It will not be a simple find, nor is the adventure straightforward, but HARPA is used to a little elbow grease in order to piece things together.
As the team races across the Austrian Alps, up to a Spanish monastery, and into the depths of the Titanic wreck, they pull together pieces of this long-lost treasure that could create significant buzz, should it get out. All the while, trying to fend off the evils of a group whose secret nature is matched only by their desire for ultimate control. HARPA finds themselves targeted by new and even more sinister groups happy to wipe them off the map. Jones delivers a gripping story that leaves the reader gasping for breath.
Rob Jones delivers another stellar story that juggles the wonders of history with significant action. He crafts a strong narrative to create a solid story, while mixing in elements of history and mystery. Numerous strong characters emerge, following the foundation laid in the previous two pieces, giving the reader the chance to follow character progression, all of which flavours the larger experience. Max Hunter’s backstory is still of interest to me, which merges with some one-off characters in this piece. Plot points help spin up the tension and provide moments of surprise that added even more to the reading. I am eager to keep reading to see where Rob Jones takes things.
Kudos, Mr. Jones, for this momentous read that has me excited for more!
I have just finished all three books in the Hunter files series. Could not wait for the next one quick enough. Thoroughly recommend you binge read the series as I did. Excellent.
Rob Jones's books delivery exactly what they promise in blurb: Fast paced action and adventure thrillers with a dash of humour on the side. There are no unwanted backstories, no pretentious underlying themes, no long and boring descriptions. Pure entertainment with edge of seat experience. Titanic Legacy was due since long. Plot wise it's complex than its predecessors and many a times it connects back to the first book. However, I feel the story isn't finished yet as a few things aren't explained until the end (Operation Njord for example). This story was about a couple of artefacts drowned with Titanic. These two artefacts are a part of 5 artefacts of Fransisco De Gama, all combined leads to a secret location with some mysterious power. Yeah, not very imaginative but that's how most themes in such series are. I'm yet to try Joe Hawke series. I'll start next.
I was not overly impressed with the first book in this series but I love the idea behind it. I'm glad that I stuck with the series as by the third book I feel like the author's writing greatly improved. I'm a little disappointed as I felt like some of the story was still missing they definitely did like it enough to hope that this is not the end of this series and to also check out the author's other books.
Excellent fast paced action and adventure that will leave you breathless. The characters are awesome and well developed, making them easy to identify with. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
Impossible to put down! Amazing story filled with historical truth used in a unique way to tell this story! It was a fantastic ride. What I wouldn’t do to hav an hour to talk with this man! What a mind.
Total rubbish! Goes from one fight scene to another, no character development at all. Amazing how HARPA can always take down much superior forces without being hurt. If I could have given zero stars I would.
