When life starts swinging, love is either your shield—or your weakness.
After a gut-wrenching phone call from the rehab facility, Kyomi Rivers finds herself facing the kind of pain she swore she’d never feel again. It cracks open wounds that never truly healed—and everything starts to unravel from there.
The pressure is on. And the world don’t stop just because you’re breaking.
Yasiah Holt has always played it cool. Power, money, dominance—he’s built his life on staying ten steps ahead. But seeing Kyomi unravel? It shakes something in him. Something real. Now he’s stuck between sealing a deal that could shift everything—or showing up for the woman who’s slowly becoming his peace in the middle of chaos.
They were supposed to be temporary. But life? Life got other plans.
And this time, it’s more than just feelings on the line.
This story is so good and I appreciate the fact that this story has a realistic time frame everything isn't rushed. Im so glad ky stopped being stubborn with yasiah I definitely think the housekeeper/butler are his biological parents they probably forced them to give up their baby and it honestly shows why his dad was so adamant about the business with Michael. He had to make sure he was secured before it all hit the fan. I also hope ky tells him about Austin so he can get handled he's too comfortable approaching her.
The series is good, through out this book I felt like the sex scenes were fillers , in addition to waiting for the next installment I would’ve liked this to be one book , I could’ve seen it as 300 + pages . Hopefully it’s not a long wait for the next one.
After reading book 1 and book 2 I feel suspended in motion. Keisha I picked it up and couldn’t put it down…. Now I’m stuck…. So if you like drama and cliffhangers pick this up and dive in. As we anxiously wait for the next part.
Great read past ready for part 3&4 Because of course, we gotta have a story about Kiah and Javon and to see whats really going on with Joriel. I hope Austin gets gets what he deserves. Can't wait .
Looky here Ms Mam! I didn’t have the book but about 4 hours and already done! Can’t wait until Austin and her mama gets what’s coming to them, but.. It’s the Andersons ain’t it?! 🤣🧐
I liked how the story shows her vulnerability while also pulling in Yasiah Holt, a character who’s torn between ambition and actually being there for her. It’s a mix of corporate grit, personal struggles, and raw emotions that makes you reflect on what really matters in life. Definitely worth reading if you enjoy stories about love, healing, and resilience.
Not me thinking this was the finale 😩 that’s why I waited. Hopefully the author publisher and Amazon have a quick turn around. But I expected that ending.
I actually enjoyed this. Probably it's because this is the first time I've read anything by this author. It was predictable but entertaining and I liked Yasiah. He grew on me. This was a quick read and I'm a little annoyed there's a third part that we have to wait for. 😒
There is so much to unpack between the two books. First off what kind of Lawyer is Yasiah? Not sure if it was mentioned but it seems like his jobs are all over the place. Then the thing with Michael, he said he just finalized his divorce and needed a lawyer to show she was unfit but that business he is handling with Yasiah doesn’t align with why he hired him and said they his wife was handling parts of the business. Then on the other hand baby girl been three months for most the entire dang book. In parts of the book she has a flat stomach then it’s a bump back to not showing. It’s hard for me to really enjoy when there are so many discrepancies throughout the two books so far.
Wow, Kyomi & Yasiah have a lot going on with their family dynamics! I'm please that they're finally on one accord, if only the outsiders could get their act together or just leave them alone! I love Yasiah friends, but one not them is jealous and need to be dropped from the group! I can't wait for part 3, Yasiah and Kyomi just can't catch a break!
This book is really good but it could have been a two book story or a standalone, and I have a gut feeling I know who his parents are but I'll keep that to my self unless someone else knows too.
This book is ok nothing spectacular. The best parts of this series happened after 60% in both books. I may or may not continue it just depends on what I find to read in the meantime.
Drama on both sides and it's only getting worse. One side cools down and the other heats up. Both characters are catching it from supposed to be their love ones and that cliffhanger did it. On to book three.
They cant get a break ugh 😑! Now my boy then found out so crazy stuff. I bet the Ms. & Mr. Andrews knows whats up. And mani mom’s boyfriend need to get over whatever he try to do . Like let go men what os about to happen next come on pt3
That ending isn’t right! What in the fudge stick is going on? Siah just found out some very disturbing mess they had my mouth wide opened. This series is too much
