As a an avid mafia romance reader...I was BLOWN AWAY that this was Lena Vox's DEBUT BOOK! Holy crap! This book was SO GOOD! I literally kept going back and double checking that this indeed was their debut novel because it read like a seasoned author. I'm definitely adding this author to my list of mafia authors to watch because I definitely need more of this whole series they have in the making!
The tropes to this book aren't anything new when it comes to mafia romance. Enemies to lovers, arranged marriage...but what is different is how the characters are written and how we get to where we are in terms of the arranged marriage.
Vito is our morally grey, cruel, cold and ruthless Don MMC. He is everything you want your mafia man to be and more...his need for dominance and control can be felt from the moment you read the first page and I ate it up! Rina is our reluctant mafia princess FMC...she is the opposite of everything you think of when you think mafia FMC...she has no desire to be anyones wife, let alone the wife of a mafia Don...she wants out of the life she was born into and will stop at nothing to make sure it happens.
When Vito shmurders Rinas father, his sights are set on her and there is only one goal in mind...make her his. He doesn't just want to marry her because she is beautiful....its more than that. Their families have been at war for a long time...and the unaliving of her father isn't making tensions any easier...this marriage is more of a blood oath...a way to unite the families and for Vito to take control...ending the chaos and taking everything once and for all.

An arranged marriage, betrayal, control, a fierce and fiery FMC, an alpha male MMC at its finest. Could I say enemies to lovers? Yeah, sorta, kinda.
It’s a good story with enough mafia elements, funny and rebellious moments, a MMC who definitely falls first. A tension and a spark that’s almost immediately there and a whole lot of things from the past that are too ugly for daylight.
I really, really loved Vito’s inner monologue, Dante’s presence and Marco’s observation on certain things.
The story flows very well, there’s enough tension, apprehension and secrets to keep you hooked. You just want to see what will happen next.

But Rina wasn't your typical obedient and docile mafia wife. This was a world she longed to escape and as far as she was concerned, she still would, she would yield to no man, husband or not.
Vito is textbook alpha don: ruthless, tactical, and convinced love is weakness. But Vox peels back his armor through the way he's obsessed with control - and with Caterina (Rina), she's no meek prize. Rina's fierce refusal to be a pawn - and the ways she guards herself after her father's murder - make her a compelling, combustible protagonist. Their friction isn't cheap titillation; it's edged with grief, pride, and a slow, dangerous ache that coerces the reader into rooting for both of them even as they hurt each other. Catarina is the eldest daughter of Tomasso Gallo, sister Sofia, cousin to Elena. Catarina was already planning her own escape, at the same time her father was planning a take over of the Famigila, her plan was thwarted by Don Vito and she was then kidnapped and separated from her family. She was kept in Vito’s penthouse and told they are to be married in 3 weeks. Vito claims it is due to the Commision wanting to unite their families, although it is hinted that there are other reasons.
World building is great, I’m excited to read about the other characters (I peeked ahead at the other book blurbs in the series and am pleased to see what’s coming up next!). Something that annoyed me was that Catarina continuously argued to herself “the man who killed my father” like it was a bad thing - she was trying to find a way to have him killed herself! I wish there was a little more passion earlier on, but I really started to feel it at about 75% and it was great! I’m definitely going to continue with the series, this is a great first book and am excited to see what’s coming next!
Also a side note: I know the Irish were technically the villain in this story - but I hope that Liam gets his own book!

Savage Union is the first book in the Rosso Mafia series and for a debut novel this is unbelievably good. The author has created a gripping dark mafia romance that kept me hooked from the first chapter. Please do check the trigger warnings before diving in as it explores some heavy themes.
The plot centers on Rina who is forced into an arranged marriage due to a crime committed by her father. The situation escalates quickly when her father is unalived and Vito Rosso steps in. Vito is a ruthless Don who is morally grey, cruel and cold. He views this marriage as a blood oath and a strategic move to unite their warring families and end the chaos. He intends to take control of everything.
What I loved most was the dynamic between the main characters. Vito expects to break Rina and mold her into an obedient wife who loves his control. However Rina is a reluctant mafia princess who defies every expectation. She wants nothing to do with him or this life and fights for her freedom with everything she has.
They are both incredibly stubborn and refuse to give in which makes their banter and chemistry explosive. It is fascinating to watch the transition as the hate starts to blur into something else. Rina begins to understand the man behind the darkness and Vito becomes obsessed with the woman he cannot tame. If you love high angst and complex characters this is a must read.

I love an arranged marriage trope and this book didn’t disappoint. It’s an enemies to lovers mafia book and I loved every second of it! I finished it in one day because I just couldn’t put it down! I cannot wait for the next book featuring Dante. And I’m also holding out hope that the Gallo family is actually not as bad as they say and we have another enemies to lovers book in the future!

This may be her debut book but Lena Vox has hit the ground running with Savage Union, the first book in the Rosso Mafia series as mob boss Vito Rosso takes what he wants when his sights settle on Caterina Gallo no matter what he has to do. But Rina wasn’t your typical obedient and docile mafia wife. This was a world she longed to escape and as far as she was concerned, she still would, she would yield to no man, husband or not.
This was a dark enemies to lovers’ romance with a strong storyline of blood oaths, vendettas and betrayal that had me gripped from the start as the tension built between the antagonists I loved the dynamics between Vito and Rina, the fire and passion, with lots of delicious friction building and you just knew things were going to be explosive . If only they took a second they would have seen how well matched they were with Rina, his female counterpart. If you love forced marriage and forced proximity romances, you won’t want to miss Savage Union. With a dominant and possessive hero and a feisty heroine determined to escape him and laden with all the heat and chemistry you could possibly want. This book pulled me in from the very first page and never let go. The atmosphere was dark and dangerous, full of betrayal, family wars, and power games, yet it also had so much passion and intensity that I couldn’t stop reading. Caterina was a force, rebellious, strong, and fiercely protective of her family. Vito Rosso, on the other hand, was pure mafia don, dangerous, magnetic, ruthless, but with an energy that made him unforgettable. The tension between them was explosive. Every scene was charged with sparks, with anger and desire tangled so tightly together. It was brutal and beautiful at the same time, exactly what I look for in a dark mafia story. By the time I finished, I was already craving the next book in the Rosso Mafia series. Thank you so much to the author and Literally Yours PR for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

This is the first in a new series, as well as being a debut from this author, who has done an incredible job in weaving the storyline.
Vitto is a cold, dangerous, and ruthless Don of a mafia crime family, and after he killed her father, he thinks Rina Is spoiled, when she is anything but, instead he is faced with a feisty, rebellious, and fiercely protective woman, who challenges him at every turn, and she is fiercely protective over her family.
This is a well written story, which has family dynamics, friendships, emotions, betrayal, tension, angst, survival, danger, suspense, intrigue, forced marriage, enemies / lovers, challenges, vengeance, redemption, explosive chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What a wild ride! So good! This is the first novel I have read by this author but it won't be the last. This novel did not disappoint. I love a good mafia novel with a forced arranged marriage and this novel checked so many boxes for me. From the first chapter this novel grabbed my attention and held on tight the entire novel. This novel had me on the edge of my seat reading from the very first chapters right up until the very last page. It had my heart in my throat guessing what was coming next. The chemistry between Rina and Vito was so intense. I loved watching them both finally lowering their walls and defenses and falling in love. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting this novel down. What a wild ride! So good! I look forward in seeing what this author has coming next. Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book!! Vito and Rina had amazing chemistry. Vito was dark and commanding and Rina was feisty. It really made their back and forth cat and mouse game so delicious to read 🖤 I also really liked Dante, Vito’s bodyguard. He was also tasked to watch over Rina. He was no nonsense and funny!! I really enjoyed his and Rina’s time together, too!! This book had me pulled in from the start!!
Rina’s father was abusive to her, her sister Sophia and her mother. He also flaunted his mistress in their faces. Rina really wanted out, so she made a deal with Liam. Before her backup plan could get there, Vito arrived and took care of the traitor, and also took his new bride to be, Rina. The mafia powers that be wanted them in an arranged marriage, something Rina doesn’t want. Unfortunately Rina has no choice. How will her and her new husband to be get along……

I LOVE mafia romance! Hands down one of my favorite genres. I received this as an advanced read and am voluntarily leaving a review. The push and pull in this book was awesome. Great characters and plot.
Viti believes love will make him weak and doesn’t believe anyone could love the monster he is. Rina wants to burn down Vito’s world because he killed her father. But her heart may be the one to to catch fire. Spicy, page turner that’s an excellent read!!

Loved reading the engaging and exciting mafia story. When Viito kills Caterina's father, he takes Caterina and informs her that she is going to be his wife. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting romance story. Can't wait to read the next story in the mafia series by the fabulous author, Lena Vox!

This is the frist book by Lena vox and it was amazing. This book has everything the mafia book needs. The arranged marriage. The banter between rina and Vito is everything you expect. Rina is a strong-willed female who just wants to be free and save her family. Vito is cold hearted male who has to show everyone whos boss. This book had me from page one. I cant wait to see what else happened.

This book had a great story line of rival families and the need to form alliances. The secret twist that follows along with the story was chef’s kiss! I’ve read a lot of mafia books and this twist was one I’d never read! You’ll love this book!

I was surprised by this one. And let me tell you that the story had me from page one and I didn’t stop until de end. The characters and the story itself drew me in and held me falling in love with the writing and how perfectly our main couple is for each other. Definitely a must read.
