Another one bites the dust

Initially, Thiago was a bit too much like my man, and then I woke up with my real life. It's okay, I'm good. Thiago Santana was from the family in the previous books in the series. He was a confirmed bachelor living that lifestyle to the fullest. He began a relationship/situationship with his Corp Marketing Director. The relationship began as a secret until Thiago wasn't willing to hand over his heart without a fight. And over a period of time of secrecy India decided she needed more. You will enjoy their chemistry and their storyline. I recommend this adventure.

He went kicking into love yet he went!

Thiago the last single son of Benicio Santana now CEO of his father's multi-million dollar international firm who never allowed any woman to penetrate his heart until India, his company's Director of Marketing caught his eye and his heart. For months after their chance meeting in a sports bar the two became Friday night lovers. This arrangement lasted until as it usually does, their hearts became involved. Births of Thiago's brothers Bruno and Ethan's and their wives babies, enlarged the Connor-Santana family. The unexpected return of the mother of the Santana sons and her almost financially devastated drama provoked mild mannered Mama Rose, Benicio's ex wife to take a long overdue stance to put the irritating woman in her place. Finally, their almost lost love relationship propelled Thiago and India to admit how they felt about each other and work towards solidifying their relationship. I must state here how I enjoyed the descriptions of the places Thiago and India visited
together and the history woven in the people, the food and the artifacts they encountered. I hope one of your next stories be of the reuniting of Benicio and Rose now that their youngest daughter has tied
the knot. Sorry if it seems I am recounting the entire content of the book. Believe me I am not
because this story was so heartwarming, chocked full of love, drama, and so real it touched my entire heart. Thank you for sharing the Lupus information too it was very informative and eye opening to an incurable illness that doesn't get enough press. Thiago in my humble opinion, is headed straight to the Best Seller List! Take a bow Delaney, you deserve it!!!!!

First time reader of this author. Thiago was a decent read. The hot, secret office romance between the boss and subordinate that evolves into love. The troupe itself is nothing new, but can sometimes be a good read. However, I was nervous initially when you see all the flaming chemistry between the two, the heat is building, get boom…and the author skips over the sexy scenes😳👀. I almost stopped reading😂. Usually you at least get the first 1-2 sexy scenes before the author starts skipping to get to the rest of the story. I was also not a fan of the book being narrated by the author, it was weird. I prefer reading from the perspective of the characters, their feelings and emotions. The two MCs, Thiago and India, were both frustrating and annoying to follow, as a reader, they were such poor communicators about their situationship, expectations, etc. There was also opportunities for layers in the story- what was happening in the minds of Thiago’s or India’s “competition”- even making them more of a threat/more interesting for the story. Also love a good epilogue to about what happens with the MCs in their HEA. Good representation of some of the highs/lows of lupus, getting to see Thiago’s culture as he opened up to India, liked the interaction from the parents-seeing how the MCs become who they are, and you get your HEA. Just wish there was a little more pizzazz, plot twist, something to make it more interesting. I received an ARC copy and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

The chemistry between Thiago and India was off the charts. What started as a casual sexual relationship turned serious after a health scare, forcing them to navigate brand-new dynamics in what was once uncomplicated.

✅ What I loved:
• The lupus rep (so well done!)
• Thiago’s messy, layered family drama
• The secret office romance (I ate that up)

❌ What I didn’t like:
Forgiving deadbeat fathers. Black women,it’s okay not to forgive your deadbeat fathers. The hope of that forgiveness is what gives them the audacity to keep being deadbeat.

This part completely tanked what could have been a 5-star read for me. It made me so upset. 😭

I wish India had walked away from her father. There is zero excuse for being absent your whole child’s life, then showing up later expecting to slide right in. And for India to have the audacity to blame her present mother, the one who worked multiple jobs, sacrificed, and literally ran herself into the ground while absolving her absent father? Absolutely not.

That narrative pissed me TF off. If there were more dire emotional and financial consequences for deadbeat dads, there would be fewer deadbeat dads.

Black women forgive them too easily. Black men blame their present mothers too quickly. And that’s exactly how the cycle continues.

These Santana men are infuriating at times, but I still love them all.

Thiago had me wanting to throttle him with some of those caveman tendencies he displayed with India. If the terms of the situationship is casual, then don't act brand new when puts plan b into play. So watching Thiago trying to get himself together and keep a tight hold of India was interesting.

I liked India. I felt she had herself together. It didn't take much for her to get honest with herself about things. Even hurtful things in her life. However, when she made some changes, should have communicated better to Thiago about them.

But, like all the men in that family, once he was on the same page with India, he loved her in all the ways that mattered; and even some that didn't. They withhold nothing. The wooing later on was wonderful. I love that about those guys.

Oh, and somebody get Max. His antics are ridiculous.

Loved it.

Thiago is a complex man who is in a situationship with his marketing VP India. They have been seeing each other on designated days for a while but no one knows it. Things get complicated when India decides that they are in a dead end arrangement and begins to distance herself. She realizes that she is getting older and she wants more. She feels like she has to get out before she gets hurt. Well Thiago doesn’t take her boundaries well. Once he doesn’t have the same access, he realizes how much their time together was his peace. Needless to say, this couple are both strong willed folks so things get interesting. I loved their journey to happiness.

Love those Alpha Connor~Santana men. Delaney did it again with Thiago’s story. I loved Thiago and India and thought they were a great couple. Wonderful love story that started out as a one night a week hookup to a deep love of the H/h. Loved their interaction with each other. I think Delaney did a great job incorporating the Lupus storyline into the story without. Delaney was able to give more insight and background on this awful disease without it taking over the entire storyline.

Looking forward to the next story, Maxwell Connor~Santana. Hoping Rose and Benicio will get their own book after the event at the end of this story.

Loved Thiago and India! It was kind of like a roller-coaster on a curve. They had their good time, rough patch, and finally realized they were happier together vs. being apart. They just needed to get some things straightened out.

Thiago was extremely attentive and taking care of business once they became exclusive. That's what I liked about him. India didn't take crap from him, smart, and protected herself. She spoke her peace, which was one of her greatest qualities. She kept him grounded!

I'm happy with the ending! I recommend this book!

WOW!!!

You gotta love those Santana brothers! They’re all gorgeous and sexy as sin! Thiago tried to be hardcore, but was a big softie at heart! India held her own with him. Neither of them planned to fall in love with each other, after “meeting up” on Friday nights for a year! Love slowly chipped away at their hearts. When India decided to leave the state in search of another job, Thiago couldn’t stand it, and had to go get his woman! Thank you Delaney Diamond!! I’m loving this series!! I can hardly wait for the next one!! ❤️🔥

SO GLAD I PRE-ORDERED THIS BOOK

Delaney did it again with Thiago’s story. What a joy to read, and hard to put down. I stayed up way past my bed time to finish the book. I appreciated the Lupus storyline regarding the FMC, India. Delaney was able to give more insight and background on this dreaded disease.

Knockout

I'm biased because I absolutely love Delaney Diamond's books! This book was funny, emotional, and strong family dynamics. India was not going to let anybody play in her face, and neither did Thiago. If you love reading about romance, funny, smart couple who falls in love, but don't admit, this book is for you. As always, five stars!

Thiago & India

This was truly a heart tugging romance story that started as friends with benefits but when the green-eyed monster reared its head the gloves came off. Thiago pulled no punches when trying to be the one and only for India. This storyline and catching up with the other family members of the family was priceless.

Thiago and India were fire! They both were forces to be reckoned with.

What started out as casual quickly became something as they both fought their feelings. I also loved the dynamics between the Santanas. They made me laugh and I loved how they stuck together even though they are a blended family. Great addition to this series.

This book was okay. I felt like the book was a little dramatic and, at times, not believable which made it difficult to stay in the story. I do like the resolution of the book and that the author tied up loose ends. I liked the dimensionality of the female main character. The main male character was more of a caricature of a man. I really loved how family was tied into this story.

Enjoyable

The story had some very interesting moments. What I enjoyed more was how they finally opened up to each other especially Thiago, yet with his work ethics he had to learn to let go and life never on the timeline line we want it to be:

Thiago explores a fire of spirit that sets the senses aflame. Diamond pushes the boundaries of emotion with an exploratory tumble into romance. From the passion of attraction to the heartache of romance, India and Thiago are an addiction that shakes up the soul.

I absolutely loved this novel. Thiago and India are a powerful couple in the making. They also balance each other out.

Even though India seems to be the one that's emotionally available, it's not all the way with Thiago. She's afraid of her emotions for him and it causes her to keep secrets(lupus, Simon still reaching out, job search b/c Thiago threatened her livelihood) and also she needed to address issues with her Dad which she did. He didn’t recognize her the two before and when she was at the house because the man needs 🤓. Once he recognized his daughter, he was so loving and remorseful. I think that was best for her and her relationship with Thiago.

Thiago is grumpy compassionate and open. When he fell for India, he was all in and her wanting to take a job out of state felt like a personal betrayal not just a professional one. He eventually told her don't leave me when they were talking in her place and that's so personal. Even though he was raised by Mama Rosa, his mother sent her young sons away so she could live her life and for what the reader can deduce, she wasn't present and didn't seem to care. She kept calling Bruno's wife Larissa. Her name is Marissa. She's a piece of work. I'm so happy when Rosa stood up to her self-centered behind.

Because their HEA took some time, it was wonderful the way it unfolded. I can wait for the next Family Ties novel. I love Ms. Diamond's books.
