Dr. Michael Williamson holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the International college of Christian ministries, with earlier studies at Portland community college, Portland state university, and university college London. A devoted husband of 22 years and father of three, Michael has spent decades leading, mentoring, and inspiring across diverse platforms—Hollywood's screen, the acting stage, and the business world.
From his ministry work in the war zones of Ukraine to the 14 churches he has started throughout Europe, Michael is passionate about providing hope where hope has run out. Tears is his powerful debut book. Grippingly honest. Bold and Directive. Raw. Redemptive. Radically healing. Michael draws from neuroscience, Scripture, 26 years of ministry tears, and a lifetime of overcoming tragic, personal wounds.
With unflinching honesty, Dr. Williamson explores what it truly means to consider it pure joy when facing trials of many kinds. From personal heartbreak to global impact, he shows how pain—when surrendered to god—has a divine purpose. These pages are not just about suffering. They’re about recycling suffering into strength, clarity, calling, and hope. Tears is not a collection of sad stories, but a roadmap for finding your way through life’s challenges. This book is for every man, woman, every hurting soul who’s wept in the dark and wondered if the lord was watching. Pain is not the end, but perhaps the birthplace of your beginning!
Really enjoyed the autobiographical aspect of this book. The author’s story moved me to tears many times and helped me connect with my own trauma. Definitely a book I’ll need to re read and digest, it’s not really a bedside entertainment book. There were so many nuggets of wisdom that I feel like will always be applicable in different times in life. Must read for Christians
