They call him the Viking. Ruthless. Dominating. Unforgiving. And now… he owns me.
My father’s lies cost me everything—my freedom, my life, my choice. Traded to Zaos Faeborne, the third-born Elven prince with wild blue eyes that haunt my dreams, I become his captive… and his fated mate.
He terrifies me, and yet every touch burns a fire through me I can’t resist. Every whisper, every brush of his hand, pulls me closer to a desire I shouldn’t feel… but can’t deny.
In his arms, I’m both prey and willing surrender. Fate may have bound me to the Faeborne, but part of me secretly hopes it never lets me go.
Captured is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and book three in the Faeborne Brides series. Each book focuses on a different brother(and a different retelling)as they come into power once they take a bride. If you like captive romances, forced marriages, arrogant Elven heroes, and feisty Black heroines who can tame any man, with a sprinkle of Dominance and submission, you've come to the right place!
These books should be read in order for full enjoyment as details from previous books are necessary for full comprehension.
Siren Crow is a proud New Englander but her true calling is far off in another realm or a magical castle. She writes scorching fantasy and paranormal romance that's both darker and otherworldly. Alpha heroes is her specialty and the heroines that love them are her passion.
I wish I could have given Zaos's story more stars but I couldn't since his story was just OK. The beginning was interesting and held my attention. However, once Lily gave into Zaos is when my interest and feelings began to slide downhill. But picked back up when the father was involved. I will continue to support the author and look forward to the next book in the series.
I’ve read the previous books in the series and he is by far the worst of them; but in a OTT way. I like the fact that the FMC didn’t allow him to break her spirit. I will say this I don’t think I will continue the series after this one; the only reason being that it takes some time to take off. Then it gets to a point where it falls flat almost boring and then it picks back up.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had a good time reading this. Even though there’s often issues throughout the books, I’m a fan of the series. I didn’t quite like the voice of the characters. Sometimes they didn’t match the previous books and other times I was questioning if a 28 year old woman with this specific background would talk like an old Victorian maid. Kinda annoyed me.
simplesmente perfeito.
An interesting story for sure. There was a very realistic representation of sexual trauma and self harm.
The FMC was likeable and sweet but was frustrating to read at times. Acknowledging that she's had a ton of horrors in her past and that would obviously have an effect on a person, she was scared of absolutely everything and everyone and that makes everything about a story's progression more difficult. A main character has to communicate, grow, and form bonds.
There were many, many grammatical errors, misspelled words, and sentences that didn't make sense.
The consensual non-consent (chasing, power play, humiliation, etc.) spicy moments were incredibly hot. They were also respectfully handled with a boundaries talk beforehand and safe words.
