Tristan’s life is perfect. He lives with his best friend and owns his own small business. Crocheting stuffed animals every day should be Tristan’s paradise, but even being surrounded by stuffies all day isn’t enough to dull the pain of not having a Daddy.
Daniel loves his job. Building custom wooden furniture and toys for his boy brings Daniel peace and fulfillment. After learning he is a Daddy Dom, he uses his lifelong skill to create toys for his future boy and others in the community. But what good is a room full of toys without a boy to play with them? Every time Daniel finishes a piece and adds it to the playroom, his heart aches to show them to his boy, but instead, he heads to the playroom and adds it to his hoard.
After months of preparing for the local craft fair, Tristan and Daniel set up shop to sell their wares. When Daniel takes a break to browse other wares, he spots the cutest crochet dragon. Could this adorable dragon be the thing that connects the lonely Daddy with the crocheting cutie who needs a Daddy?
Crochet Cuddles is an M/M Age Play/Age regression romance between consenting adults. This book contains ABDL with wetting as well as stuffie kink. This book contains elements that are suitable for ages 18 and over.
I’m a non-binary queer author who loves writing kinky M/M romance filled with heart as well as heat. My goal is to craft stories that are just as sweet and comforting as they are steamy and passionate.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me curled up under soft blankets with my e-reader, devouring romance novels. I also love crocheting cute stuffed animals and sweaters, and gaming with my partner.
Oh my God. I love this book so much. 10/10 for me and will be a forever reread. I love Daniel and Tristan’s relationship, they are too sweet for words. I love the appearances of “the sog monster”. This book has everything I could want in an age play book. I can’t wait to read more from this author!! Oh and I freaking love the friendship between Tristan and ellery.
It’s a cute enough story, fast-paced, with lots of heat. A Little with a penchant for dragons looking for his Daddy and a Daddy with a penchant for dragons looking for his Little. They happen upon each other at a craft fair at which they’re both exhibiting.
What bugged me …
The dynamic between Daniel and Tristan felt rushed even for a BDSM setup. I think it was one date and both were sold that the other was perfect. It was pure fantasy - no conflict, absolutely none. Not even a single misunderstanding or miscommunication. Everything was “perfect” from start to finish. Not even during the illness that was the excuse for the meet-cute of Ellery and David, which felt so forced with no foreshadowing.
Also, the increasingly lackadaisical approach to proofreading as the story progressed kept pulling me out of the flow. When the punctuation is so confusing that you’re not sure what’s the dialogue or the prose. Or when a paragraph begins with one person’s line of dialogue to be ended with another’s response when that ought to have begun its own paragraph.
Rhodes couldn’t even keep track of the spelling of one MC’s bestie’s name. Ellery was misspelled as Elerry and Elley.
Sadly, I was looking forward enough to this book I actually took note of its release date to feel this … meh … about it.
1st person, past tense, dual PoV Tristan, little (mid-twenties), crochet crafter Daniel, Daddy (45), woodworking crafter
This was a quick, light, fluffy read though it was very insta and more vibes than plot. I haven't read many age play books and this sounded cute so I thought I'd give it a try; it definitely delivered what it promised (Bun Bun and the stuffie kink were surprisingly erotic) and I enjoyed how well suited these two were for one another. I also loved the sweet friendship that Tristan had with his bestie/roommate, Ellery. While I've learned that this isn't really a kink I particularly enjoy those that do will probably like this story a lot.
Note: This manuscript needs quite a bit of light editing, there were enough issues that it took me out of the story. There are several typos and grammatical errors; misplaced quotation marks, words being capitalized that shouldn't be and other that should be that aren't, it also seems like the author doesn't know how to use paragraphs properly (new speaker, new paragraph, etc.) and it makes certain passages difficult to follow.
I wanted to love it, and I think I will when I come back to read it. From what I've read so far, it's super cute. It's going to be great for a pallette cleanser.
There are some grammer/typos. And I think that's what took me out of it. I pretty sure when I'm back in the mood for something light and fluffy this will be it
The idea was cute, but the execution was lacking. The thing that bothered me most was the language used during sex scenes, which I personally found off putting. Also, I felt bad for poor Bun Bun.
🐲Oh, sweet dragons, am I dreaming...did I die and go to sexy silver Daddy heaven?🐰
"Be still, my heart. This man was precious; his joy for his craft was contagious. I could tell he poured his whole heart and soul into his creations, and that made each one as special as he was."
"He swiped his card, tucking my Ember under his arm, and patted his head. My heart melted at the gesture, and suddenly I was tempted to put myself on the table in hopes he'd want to take me home as well. He was everything I'd ever dreamed of."
"Each block that hit the table was followed by the most precious giggle I've ever heard, and it made me even more determined to make this boy mine."
"Oh, sweet dragons, am I dreaming...did I die and go to sexy silver Daddy heaven?"
"Do you want to use Bun Bun? Do you want to breed your cute little bunny and make him all dirty again?"
"I don't need a ring to know you're it for me; we have plenty of time. This is just the beginning." "You're it for me too, Daddy...Always."
This was such a cute, adorable, spicy story. This is my first book by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I haven't read too many age regression books with ABDL, but this one was written super well. This author has a fantastic writing flow as well. The spicy scenes were spicing hard 🔥🔥🔥. Looking at you, Bun Bun 🐰😉😆. I also loved the added hurt/comfort to this as well.
This story follows Tristan and Daniel. Tristan is a little who is looking for a Daddy but has had horrible luck in the dating department. Daniel is a Daddy always looking for his forever boy. He even has a playroom ready for his future boy. These two meet at a fair. Tristan crochets and sells stuffies and blankets. Daniel is a woodworker who makes furniture, blocks, and other toys. Daniel buys one of his stuffies, and these two hit it off very fast. They have an instalove going on. They go out on a date and then set up a play date to see if they mesh. Tristan is very self-conscious due to his past with being bullied and torn down. Daniel, being the perfect Daddy, makes him comfortable. Things get heated fast and these two fall head over heels in love. Was it fate that a dragon stuffie brought these two together?
I loved the relationship between these two. Daniel was so patient and understanding with Tristan. He was a wonderful caretaker and Daddy. My heart broke for poor Tristan. He viewed himself so badly due to his past trauma 😭. I love how vulnerable he got with his new Daddy. I loved how Daniel made Tristan feel comfortable in his own skin and accept new ideas about himself. I loved their dynamics and communication when dealing with all the little stuff. The chemistry and steamy scenes were 🥵🔥🔥. The mouth on Daniel was 😏😉🥵. I also loved Ellery and David. I'm excited to read their book next when it comes out. Great start to this series! 🐲🐉🐰🧸🍼❤️🔑
Tristan runs a cozy crochet business but still aches for the Daddy he doesn’t have. Daniel, a woodworker and newly discovered Daddy Dom, fills his playroom with handmade toys while longing for the boy meant to share them. When both men set up at a local craft fair, Daniel spots an adorable crochet dragon — and the sweet creator behind it — sparking a connection that might finally bring a lonely Daddy and a boy in need of care together.
This was such a sweet, satisfying story built around an undeniable connection between two men who fit together perfectly. Tristan and Daniel’s needs, desires, and relationship dynamics aligned so naturally that their bond felt inevitable from the moment they met. Daniel is a wonderfully steady, caring Daddy, and Tristan is exactly the boy who brings out his gentleness and purpose. Their dynamic is tender, affirming, and full of warmth, making their journey a joy to read. A heartfelt, comforting romance with a strong Daddy and the perfect little boy who was always meant for him. This was an MM story with mature and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
stuffie play? abdl? pacifiers? not something i would read all the time but this story was so sweet and spicy.
tristan is an adorable 25 year old boy who loves to crochet stuffies and daniel is a 45 year old daddy who loves to build custom wood furniture and toys.
the relationship between them both starts rather quickly after meeting, but it makes sense and is not surprising with the type of relationship they have! daniel was so sweet and caring towards his baby boy, tristan. then tristan was so adorable and loveable with his stuffie’s, Ember and.. Bun Bun. IYKYK.
i would have loved more, but was still a good read. i can’t wait for ellery and david’s story.
ARC review - Crochet Cuddles by Avery Rhodes Out - Jan 30, 2026 Rating: 4/5 Spice: 4/5
Y’all, I have been looking forward to this book since I found out about it! Age play is one of my favorite tropes & I could NOT get enough of Tristian. He is the cutest little, I mean Bun Bun…come on guys 🥺🥺
The romance is very instalove as many age play books are but that’s exactly what I wanted. Daniel and Tristian are so special and everything about their relationship was perfect. I loved how nurturing and caring Daniel was and how he continuously reassured Tristian the way he needed.
I cannot wait till Ellery’s book because I just know Princess Ellie is the sweetest🥺✨
Crochet Cuddles is a sweet, extremely cute romance between Little Tristan and his Daddy Daniel. This probably has the most regression and age play of any daddy/little book I’ve read, and a heavy focus on wetting as Tristan regresses quite young. I wish they’d had a few more “Big” moments together, as I feel like it might have added a bit more depth to the relationship and the instant bond they shared, but overall I still really enjoyed this one! Look forward to more by Avery Rhodes!
This was a very very sweet and fluffy DD/lb romance. No angst, not third act break up, just two men falling in love and exploring their dynamic. It was also very spicy, Tristan and Daniel had delicious chemistry. I would have loved a few more scenes between them outside their dynamic and it was a bit too insta love for my personal taste but I still had a wonderful time reading Tristan and Daniel's story. I also loved the friendship between Tristan and Ellery. It was very heartwarming. Looking forward to Ellery's story.
If there'd been any editing done at all this could have been a three star read but there wasn't. I wanted something that wouldn't ask anything of me after an amazing but painful book and, other than overlooking the atrocious lack of editing, this fit the bill. Very simple, instalove, nothing of depth to the characters or story. I almost stopped reading about seventy percent in because the english somehow managed to get worse and I realized I didn't care much anymore but I finished it. I doubt I'd read anything else from this author though.
Very cute! I actually love age play books so obviously if that's not your cup of whatever, then I am not going to recommend this one to you 😂 But if you're like me and do enjoy dabbling in those kinds of books, yeah add this to your list! I'm honestly starting to become a pretty big fan of Avery's writing 😊
I waited so long for this book and it was absolutely worth it! As someone who crochets it was amazing to see how this story came to life! I'm looking forward to rereading this when I need a sweet and spicy romance to cheer me up. Tristan and Daniel are just the cutest ever!
I just love Tristan and Daniel’s book! It’s super sweet, no angst, insta love, with lots of Daddy/Little time, and the best happily ever after! I love how sweet they both are and their meet cute is so adorable. I recommend this book!
I’ve been waiting to read this one since the author posted a little snippet on fb. It seemed interesting. And I’m glad I remembered that it came out today. I read it all throughout the day. It’s an adorable story.
This was so adorably sweet. I loved Daniel and Tristan’s story. Tristan and Ellery’s friendship is inspiring. So is David and Daniel’s. I need Ellery and David’s story. It would be so awesome if David does what he mentioned. I think that would make all four happy.
This was enjoyable. It had more age regression than I expected but not bad. I am jealous of Ember because that sounds like a really cute plush. I also really love Ellery adms a side character.
A cute read. Pretty drama free despite knowing each other so quickly. It’s insta attraction and sexual encounter which isn’t my thing but works ok in this story.
