What interesting about these short stories is the details of real life people (that's what it says) having their own first discovery with those of the same gender as them.

What made me love this is the fact that some of their experiences enabled them to be with their partner forever, while other is just a passing fling, a one-time kind of thing.

Some of the story give no definite ending as to whether or not they stays with their first-time or not. Which is why, my most favorite story is about a 41 years old psychologist Debbie, retelling how her first is also the same partner that she stays with till this day. It is truly sweet.
Diane's story is sweet as well, especially the ending where she remains as a devoted and loving assistant with her partner.

And yeah, this is definitely an erotic collection.

listening on audiobook and i have like 5 minutes left so im basically done, but this is fun! it’s a validating lesbian experience book. it’s nice to hear random, normal people speak of and experience canon lesbian coming of age events. it can be an isolating experience growing up wlw and this is a mature themed short read that gives a bit of community and relief in answering “am i normal?” yes! you are!

Not quite erotica, not quite biography, not quite long enough for me. On the plus side this is a collection of real women's experiences and as such it should be an excellent read for younger women looking for a real life affirmative experience. An easy and enjoyable collection.
