Unbelievable

I have been enjoying this series however this book was my least favorite. As a mother Jet sucks. So far in the series the little girl has been around numerous gun fights, kidnapped twice, and has been left alone in dark tunnels or closets a couple of times and never cries or complains I just don't believe it. Now they have a cartel chasing them (next book) and they are still on the run with a toddler. Jet should have left her daughter with her adoptive parents where she would be safe and could be a child because this kid is going to be traumatized for life. Lastly I like strong female leads however poor Matt is relegated to babysitter and always gets hurt while Jet hardly gets a scratch. She should get a cape and join the justice league-just saying.

From squalid ports of Panama to the cartel enclaves of Columbia, Jet and Matt battle deadly threats.

Horrifying beginning. Evil bad man. He doesn't have a problem killing children. A storm hits a ship Seylene but that's not the worst of it. Pulse-pounding tension. Hannah, Jet's little girl becomes the target. Every parent's nightmare. Now Jet's.

I love the experience of traveling through South American countries. "Panama city seemed like a schizophrenic stepchild of New York," said Jet. There, she was surprised her hair hadn't turned white like a witch in a scary Japanese monster movie.

I was determined not to get sucked in again and that this would be my last Jet book. After all, how much bad luck can three people have? Well Blake did it again with his writing magic, harrowing situations, and i couldnt stop. The bad people are horribly bad, seemingly everywhere, unlimited resources, and have every advantage in the book: except one: They are not Jet . I would love to have a partner with Jet's skills. This one ended with a cliffhangar escape and villains more committed to kill her than before. How can i not read Jet nine? Wonderful escapist thriller.

Even though this book stands alone Blake keeps tying the story back as a continuing saga. He even reconstituted Drago, who I thought was dead. This guy Igor is one dumbo, he couldn’t find her in Chile, then Panama which is smaller, and he thinks he’s going to get her in Columbia, bigger yet? Now Jet is on a skiff and can barely make out the name of the boat, but Igor sees it plainly from the shore? The bodies pile up in this adventure, unfortunately they don’t get them all. 5

Horrific deaths in this book

I usually give 5 stars but this book was a little too unsettling with the deaths for me to enjoy it. I feel some of the atrocities went too far except for a specific audience but babies and children were just too much in my personal opinion. I am not naive to how harsh the world is especially in some countries but I read for entertainment not to be sickened.

'Survival' was so very thrilling. So much action. The story line is very thorough, well written and played out extremely well. The characters are a vast array of personalities and each seems to have an agenda of sorts. Jet and Matt are put through some rigorous motions to stay safe. I love the adventure. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list.

The Never Ending Battles

Everywhere she goes Jet makes lethal enemies. Then, she has to do the impossible to dispatch them! There were two left and now there are three! How will Jet and Matt ever start to live a peaceful life with little Hannah? I don’t know but I’m banking on Jet!

The action does not give up in volume 8.........yet more danger for Jet and Matt and Hannah but here the intrigue ratches up and its not clear who is coming after them this time....indeed to the group its not known if its after one of them or both of them. Great story line, immersed into the jungles of central america felt all too real and allegencies are rocky at the best of times......another very good read!

Chest Thumper

Jet has more lives than 10 cats and so many enemies trying to kill her. Her skills and smart edge keep her alive in the jungle and in the city! This was another nail biter.

A definite must read series

This was another extremely intense, complex, suspenseful, and action packed thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. It's not a story to be missed.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Fun, quick read. I did not enjoy this as much as previous Jet installments. Fairly predictable, and antagonists I did not care about. The Jet story moves on to the next chapter.

I think that I'm getting a little fatigued for Jet. Things are go go go for her with everyone after her. It annoys me that Jet can't catch a break, that every time Jet thinks that she is done with a threat a new one comes back or a slightly different version comes back after her. I just want Jet to be able to have some peace with Hannah and Matt.

I felt sorry for Matt in this one, he was on his own for the most part with Hannah, who was a trooper in some crazy situations. It makes me wonder how warped she will be for these experiences.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Jet is through with the crazy!

JET is a "wants to be retired" clandestine operator, formerly with Israeli Intelligence. Her successful career has left her with many enemies who want her permanently retired, along with her 3 year old daughter and her boyfriend, Matt. Unlimited resources are expended as the bad guys chase JET and her companions across South and Central America, leaving an untold number of bodies in their wake. Her talents and abilities are put to the test as she tries to stay alive and protect her loved ones. This one is action from start to finish, although the ending is a little weak, almost anti-climactic.

When will they learn?.... Trying to enforce revenge against Jet and Matt is going to be very expensive and futile!! This time, however, the dynamic duo is separated by different countries and little Hannah is really missing her momma. There will be nothing to get in the way (or stay in the way) of Jet getting to her child.... The hurdles that everyone faces seem insurmountable and utterly impossible! But again, underestimating Jet never ends well. Unbelievable action and still one of the fastest paced books that I've read. It's amazing and just doesn't stop! Get this series now and get sucked into it!

There are always so many fascinating details about the locations, people and espionage skills, that I can never put books from the Jet Series down.

There are some gruesome scenes, but don't let them deter you from the layered characters and pacy plot Russell Blake is so proficient at creating. Matt gallantly protects young Hannah while poor Jet seems destined to fight her way through a wall of bad guys to spend time with her daughter. (And there are some really rotten bad guys.) Luckily they have a few allies to see them through, but they might not all make it through...

I enjoyed the previous book in this series ‘Sanctuary’ but this one isn’t as good. I think the author needs to get a grip on the story. He is falling into the Hollywood/TV script writers problem of thinking the more you can pack into the story the better it must be. There are too many villains, too many crime bosses, too many assassins, too mny sociopaths, too much gratuitous violence and too many totally improbable plots.
I am also getting tired of the resurrected characters and plots, it’s about time these came to an end so we can start with something new.

Loved this chapter in the Jet series. Jet is one of the series I am really looking forward to whenever a new book is being released. The action packed series about a " retired " Mossad assassin is a fast paced action book that keeps me urging for new books. In this eigth installment we find Jet as well as her daughter being chased by a ruthless team of hired killers. It sets up the events in a nice way and once the chase starts, the action never stops. Can't wait for the next book!

I totally enjoy Russell Blake's writing and always look forward to more. This book covers a lot of ground, but it's not all Jet all the time. The story is written from the perspective of four people or groups... one is hunting Jet; another is hunting Net's friend, Mat. The other two perspectives are from Jet and Mat as they try to join up. Plenty of action!

Ended too soon and everything is still up-in-the-air. I'm kind of wondering exactly how old Hannah is, because it seems like she's been two-and-a-half for quite a few books now, that cover several months. It's amazing how adaptable she is and how she never seems to throw a tantrum. While I really do love the Jet books, just how many innocent people, people who've helped Jet and her family along the way, are going to keep dying so they can live?

3.5 stars... the story ebs n flows for me. my interest had been kept though. bar the hole kid issue. no kid would be ok with all that shit. or that will behaved. come on.
but that aside, I enjoy the series just think it could have been better without the kid introduced all those previous books before.

Ho hum

I thought this volume was far below the high standard set by previous outings. The story has run it's course and the author seems to be without a good ending.

There are too many loose ends but more of the same is likely in future columns. Too bad, I really enjoyed the earlier books very much.
