Man this comic is just too dope! Again I have to say this might be THE best art I’ve seen in a comic. Lee Bermejo is a freaking master that has so many styles that he uses in these pages. Here we get a flashback of how this chase between the two main characters all started. What a fun ride that was. It ends with them being back in the dinosaur age with them maybe about to finally work together to survive. Freaking awesome book! And now I’ve just seen that Ryan Coogler and Universal are doing a movie of this with writer Mattson Tomlin doing the screenplay. Looking forward to that.
Not quite as solid as the first, but this was still a decent read.
And, let's be honest - we're really here for the art.
Absolutely phenomenal artwork; I love looking at it, studying the details ... captivating stuff.
I find it amusing that I learn more from the blurb of these comics than from actually reading them. I need the blurbs to tell me what just happened haha.
Keen for the conclusion, though it'll be brutal waiting another six months or so!
I’m really mad this is only gonna be 3 issues.. there’s so much more that can be added to this. And Lee Bermejo’s art is so cinematic and fresh as usual !
This keeps the high-concept momentum rolling, though it eases off the gas just a bit. The tempo slows in places, giving space to explore the characters’ motives and the emotional weight of their time-looped conflict. While it loses a bit of the breakneck pace from issue #1, the story still hits hard—and the visuals? Absolutely unreal.
Lee Bermejo delivers another masterclass in style, shifting effortlessly between eras and moods with cinematic flair. Mattson Tomlin’s writing remains intriguing, layering in just enough new pieces to keep the mystery simmering.
Not quite as electric as the debut, but still a bold, visually stunning read. A solid 4 stars.
Eight months! It took 'em 8 months to release the second issue, but my goodness what a glorious work of art this book is. Bermejo is a Line Beast and needs to be analyzed for Alien DNA. These panels are otherworldly and amazing. Tomlin is also crafting a great sci-fi tale that I don't want to end. I can't believe this is only 3 issues. Make it ongoing! I think the suits at Boom! don't know what to do with such a great title. I have the transcript of their recent off the wall board meeting here: https://standupcomicreader.blogspot.c...
