A Nest of Lies

Rate this book
I’m being hunted by all of Mythos Fae kind.
Why?
Because I’m about to go into my first heat.

For years, I’ve just been Serapina the human.
Now, I’m Sera the Mythos Fae Omega.
And apparently I harbor millennia’s worth of secrets inside my soul.

So not only am I trying to discover the memories hidden somewhere within my mind, but I’m also on the run…
With three irresistible fae.

Hades, the God of Death.
Morpheus, the God of Dreams.
Maliki, the Enforcer of Death.

I’m pretty sure their presence is going to inspire my heat to overtake me sooner rather than later.
Which will leave me a mindless, vulnerable mess.

Can I trust my new guardians to protect me?
Or am I going to find myself twisted up in a nest of lies?

I’d better unravel the threads soon.
Because the feral Alphas are not the only ones hunting me…
The truth is coming.
And it might just destroy us all.

The series continues and the drama? Yep, it continues to ramp up. This installment picks up where the first book left off. Serapina, Hades, Morpheus, and Malaki have to leave Hades' realm because Serapina let off a "beacon" declaring that she's an unclaimed omega. Not...great. Now, they have to worry about other Alphas hunting her down and claiming her for their own.
Well, this should be interesting. LOL! What I like best about this book is that it pushes Hades to reassess things and Serapina. Is she really his mate? Yes. Is she really Persephone? Yes. But it's digging into the truth that is throwing him for a loop. Two things can be true, but finding the truth is a complicated matter. The back and forth between the characters is relatively well done. I appreciate that Serapina utilizes some sense in curbing her tongue from time to time.
She and Hades are meant for each other though regardless. The cliffhanger in this book? It'll leave you eager for more for sure. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes from here.

Wow! I cried my eyes out! At first it felt a little repetitive because she was needing to be told the same thing again and again but I really understand the struggle to understand what’s happening and feeling so overwhelmed that you can’t help but need repeating of things and time for your brain to wrap around something and it was beautiful watching Hades finally come to terms with how wrong he was. I really hope they can resolve things now that she remembers everything. And I hope they can save the omegas! Although im not understanding things fully because I thought fortune fae had alphas and omegas and betas still just fine, and that is part of the same world so im confused, unless they’re stuck somewhere else? I’m sure things will all come together in the next book! And I’m so sad to have to wait patiently for it!

"One day soon, "I vow in a whisper. "I'm going to cherish you the way you deserve, sweetheart. With my hands, my tongue, my knot. And then you'll dream of me. Always."

I enjoyed the second installment of this series. It continues after Book 1 leaves off. Hades and Maliki take Sera and her sister's family to the human world to escape the other alphas chasing them. Morpheus, of course, finds Sera do to their soul connection. There is more fighting between Morpheus and Hades, along with more discussions on omega and alpha roles with Sera. Sera and the men are forced to move again. Sera finally goes into heat, and with that, more problems arise.

I am kinda glad that Hades is starting to understand that Sera isn't Persephone and that she has more than one mate. The only thing I didn't like was how they kept having the same discussions in different ways. Overall, this was a good read.

4.5 stars! Loved this continuation of the Netherworld Fae series. No spoilers, just high level, we have Morpheus continuing to lean in on his claim on Sera, Maliki is all in with her, she comes first over everyone, including Hades, who is slowly coming to terms with his reincarnated mate and what that means for their bond and sharing her in a mate circle. Sera’s heat gets closer, and they are trying to keep her safe, but it’s not easy. There are other allies who come to their aid, including Sera’s sister and her mate circle, and Typhos Lucifer and his mate circle (both from other books/series). But ultimately, we are pulled through this narrative with Maliki and Morpheus doing everything they can to help Sera and make her comfortable with where things are going, while Sera is adapting to all the changes. She’s also incredibly confused by Hades’ hot/cold behavior, which he’s finally starting to take responsibility for and do something about. Love the edging and the why choose spice - the way this is unfolding is fantastic. Another cliffhanger ending, CAN’T WAIT for the next book in the series!

The audiobook is, as usual with Lexi’s books, spectacular. Duet narration, with a full cast, including cameos by narrators from other series, escalate this story so well. I absolutely will always recommend a Lexi audiobook if you’re so inclined to read with your ears.

These books are starting to all blend together. This was kinda boring. Of course I’ll listen to book 3 because I really do like Lexi’s books. But the newest ones are missing that something special for me. The narration is pretty fantastic.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an amazing series! This book 2 is a wonderful middle ground with more world and character-building of the main characters. Sera is coming into her Omega self and learning what it means. The men are learning they will have to work together and accept being in a mate bond. It’s what’s best for her. There is a twist ending with cliffhanger! It sets up where book 3 will go! I can’t wait!!

TROPES:

Slow-burn 🔥
Gods
Enemies-to-lovers
Hades & Persephone retelling
Reverse harem
Purring
Possessive alphas

and more.

GENRE, POV, PAGE COUNT:
Genre is an omegaverse, dark, paranormal fantasy romance. It is written in multiple POV form that changes by chapter. It alternates between Sera, Hades, Maliki, and Morpheus all within the first-person.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW & TIME LENGTH:
This audiobook is recorded in
FULL-CAST DUET-STYLE narration!!!
It is 10 hours long.

Narrators are as follows:
Michelle Sparks as Serapina.
Shane East as Hades.
Kale Williams as Maliki (& Orcus).
Grayson Owens as Morpheus ( & Reaper).

Sebastian Grove as Flame.
Troy Duran as Typhos.
Stella Hunter as Alina (FMC’s sister) and Demeter.

Audiobooks are magnificent. They have a way of immersing the reader further into the story and taking it to a whole new level. These narrators do an impeccable job of narrating their parts in this book. They do it flawlessly, with emotion, with passion, and they are just phenomenal! Wonderful job y’all!!

FMC:
Serapina is slowly coming to terms with her status as an omega. She is very curious and intuitive, asking tons of questions about an omega and what that actually means. She is also growing a spine by learning how to say no and speak her mind when Hades tries steamrolling her. I love seeing her come into her strong omega self! She still does have to decide who to choose to bring her through her estrus. Which one will it be? Can it be all of them? Oh I hope so!!!

MMC:
There are three MMC’s in this book. Hades, Maliki, and Morpheus.

Hades is the God of Death and is an Alpha who can do all of the Alpha things like purr, knot, etc. He is broody, angry and frustrated but finally understands Sera is not Persephone. He has been a right alphahole, but he has realized the error of his ways and begins to make amends. As hard as it is for him to share her, he is making steps and beginning to allow some sharing. He is becoming open to the idea of a mate circle.

Maliki is Hades’ enforcer and second in command. He’s the one who is not an Alpha as he is of mixed fae origins which make him a shadow daddy. He is smitten with Sera. He has been very hands off until Hades gave him the approval to play with her. At the end of book 1, he was with her while Hades was watching. He is definitely protective of Sera and is beginning to cement his place in her mate circle.

Morpheus is the God of Dreams and is also an Alpha. He continues educating Sera about all the things she needs to know and is curious about. He has loved Persephone for millennia and if she will have him he will be in her mate circle. Morpheus is going to be an amazing mate. He will fight for her or if she decides she does not what him in that way he will remain by her side as a friend and protector as long as he can be a part of her life. **swoon!!!**

All three of these guys are dreamy if you ask me! Can’t wait to experience them all together!

STORYLINE/PLOT:
This book is more of a transition into a mate circle and acceptance of each other and what that means. Also, it is about Sera coming into her Omega self and learning what that means.

There is still a lot of world-building, character-building and angst! Serapina absolutely does not have insta-love and her men are having to work hard to win her affection, Hades the most.

At the end of book 1, her “O” sent out a beacon to all the Alphas everywhere that she is an unclaimed omega who is going into heat. This is dangerous because some Alphas are feral and could quite possibly unalive her if they can find her. So, they shadow her away to hide her in the human world. They end up in the H3ll Fae Kingdom also so we get a cameo of Typhos and Ajax. When that kingdom is breached, Hades whisks her off to his Labyrinth he made for Persephone a long time ago. It’s just them two for a while getting closer and learning each other.

This book ends in a cliffhanger when Sera is officially in heat. Come on book 3!!!

THANKS:
Thank you to Author Lexi C Foss for this amazing audiobook as an advanced listener copy. I loved reading it, look forward to the next book in this series and look forward to reading future books! Thank you!

NOTE:
I have loved every single book I have read by this author. All of the Elemental Fae, all of the Midnight Fae, all of the Hell Fae, many of the Sector books, and more. I love her books so much I am working through every single one. This one is at the same level as the others, top tier omegaverse dark paranormal fantasy romance!

Happy Reading! ♥

Uh hmm….

I really wanted to enjoy this, but I struggled and I found myself having a difficult time finishing this book. I was looking forward to the second book as I enjoy Hades and Persephone lore and enjoyed the first book. I enjoyed Maliki and to a greater degree Morpheus, the setting and even this lore and world building that was being created here..

In book two I felt like I was missing more of the lore that was needed. I found the strong Serapina in book one to be kind of wishywashy and that put me off. I struggled with how it seemed like she had the inability to grasp simple ideas and perspectives. I found myself frustrated with how coddled she was. I think perhaps this might be one of the reasons I do not always enjoy omegaverse stories and that this is what people want from these books and I find it grating on me. I felt like Hades, while being an ass, had come to some realizations and was coming to terms after dealing with what he believed to be true for over 2 thousand years. I would say that is a long time to just quickly come to a turn around and realize you may have fucked up. He is doing the work and finding himself messing up and doing his best to make things right. I found Maliki overbearing and annoying after enjoying him in book 1. I still enjoyed Morpheus, yet sometimes, he felt like the pet you put outside the room when you are not ok with them being around during intimate moments.

The bits that I feel needed more were of the world building with the lore that was being put down. The story of what happened with Persephone and Demeter with all of the omegas. The steamy bits were also not my cup of tea and didn’t help that even my pervy side didn’t get any of the stimuli it longs for.

I think this book can easily be for others who enjoyed the first and other omegaverse books in general, but for me it is a hit or miss and for me this was a miss and I had to mentally push myself through it. Perhaps this is a me thing and my lack of having a smut boner for it, I dunno.

“I haven’t touched anyone in over two thousand years. Persephone was my everything, my life. Now her soul is standing before me as someone I don’t know.”
—Hades

Usually, when reading Hades/Persephone retellings, I fall for Hades pretty hard—and the only time I’ve ever actually fallen for fictional characters are these instances, plus Pip. OMG I LOVE PIP SO MUCH. Anyway, Hades repeatedly got on my last nerve (so far) during this series, and it’s a testament to the writing ability—to make me care that much about a fictional character, but also to have me annoyed with one I’m already biased to. It was a fun combination of emotions, honestly.

Hades has some groveling to do … And there’s so much danger afoot, while they’re still all just figuring out their … stuff.

“Hi. My name is Hades. And I’m your intended mate.”

Don’t mind him, just coming around to what everyone’s been trying to tell him for like, 100,000 words or something. (It cracked me up too though—I love humor in unlikely places.)

Like all of Foss’s words, I cannot recommend this one enough. I’ll most certainly be re-reading and/or re-listening to this one. I’ve already both eyeball-read and listened, once each.

All the narrators delivered an exceptional performance, effortlessly inhabiting each character and using tone and energy to convey inner turmoil, moments of reflection, and self-doubt with vivid clarity. Their clear, steady voices and measured cadence perfectly matched the story’s varying moods, bringing depth and authenticity to every scene. They enhanced the listener’s experience and made the narrative both engaging and emotionally resonant.

Another fantastic book by Lexi. I could read her to-do list and enjoy the hell out of it.

This book picks up right where the cliffhanger from the previous book left off. Hades is doing a lot of groveling in this book---and not just to Sera, but to his cousin and best friend. Honestly, this was sort of giving Lucifer vibes from the Hell Fae series when he finally pulled his head out of his own ass. That was just as amusing to watch as it was seeing Hades realize that Sera wasn't Persephone and that she didn't betray him.

Seeing the characters from the Hell Fae series as well as Their Lethal Pet was also a great addition to this book. I mean, Sera and Alina are sisters, so it's not surprising, but I loved seeing Reaper, Flame, and Orcus again. I also loved seeing the males in the Hell Fae series. We don't see Cami, but I didn't mind. The little interaction that we got from the males and Sera's mates was just as amusing as I thought it would be and I really hope that we get to see more of those in the last book.

I have to say that I think the cliffhanger for this book was worse than the one from the first book. We're really going to get into the thick of the problem I think in the last book, and I can't wait to see how that unfolds. I'm sure it's going to cause a lot of problems, and I'm sure Lucifer will complain again, since he seems to like to do that a lot.

The Fae world that Lexi and J.R Thorn have created is one of my favorite universes that I've read, and this new series just proves it. I'm really looking forward to the last installment and seeing how it wraps up.

A Nest of Lies (Netherworld Fae #2)
by Lexi C. Foss

This was a captivating Hades and Persephone retelling with a bold “why choose” twist that had me completely hooked from the very first chapter.

Lexi C. Foss does an incredible job pulling you deep into Sera’s world—her fear, her awakening, and the overwhelming pull of destiny are all felt so vividly. The emotional depth of this story truly shines. Each character feels distinct, layered, and alive, and you can feel their growth as they’re forced to confront impossible truths and dangerous desires.

The chemistry between Sera, Hades, Morpheus, and Maliki is intense, addictive, and perfectly unhinged in the best way. Their dynamic kept me turning pages late into the night, desperate to see how far the lies would unravel and what truths would come crashing down next.

And that cliffhanger? Absolutely brutal—in the most satisfying way. It left me aching for the next installment and already counting down until I can dive back into this world.

Overall, A Nest of Lies didn’t just meet my expectations—it exceeded them. Dark, emotional, and impossible to put down, this book is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance and why-choose retellings.

Welcome back to the world of the Mythos Fae. A Nest of Lies is the second book in Lexi Foss's Netherworld Fae series. I really enjoyed this book. It felt a little different from the previous book; there was more emphasis on the Hades and Persephone myth, which I liked. There was also more magic, specifically, creation magic, which is cool AF, and dream magic was also introduced. Which was Morpheus's specialty. I liked learning more about the god of dreams. He was most definitely my favorite of Sera's three guys.

Speaking of Sera. She was struggling with her omega side. Sera is fighting her instincts, and her harem isn't coming together as it should, but that has everything to do with Hades's actions rather than Sera's. Honestly, I thought he would have dug himself out of the hole he dug with Sera long before he did. He was being purposely stubborn, which irritated me to no end. Morpheus and Maliki had their own issues, but they managed to figure it out without it negatively affecting Sera.

The story was good. I liked seeing Alina (Sera's sister) and her family again. It was great catching up with them. There were also some characters from Lexi's other stories, which made me curious. I most definitely will be picking up that series. The mystery surrounding Sera and Persephone was intriguing. The story ended on an incredible plot twist that left a lot of things in the air. I have no idea how it's all going to end, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

Book 2 thankfully picks up right where book 1 left off. Hades is trying to redeem himself, finally! But, well, he's not that good at that. But he's trying! Ish. he's trying-ish. Maliki is finally finding himself and standing up to Hades and Morpheous, well, he's still Morpheous and still all in with Sera, in any and every way she needs him to be.

Poor Sera, she's learning what it means to be an Omega, in the fact that she's going to go in to heat and because she's not technically mated, no matter what Hades says, they have to hide her from all of the other Alpha's because somehow she sent out a call for help with her heat. To hide her, they Hades takes her to his hidden island in the human realm and Sera gets a happy reunion with her sister, however brief it is, along with some other characters from other books who it was nice to catch up with. (no spoilers here!)

What ensues in this book is Hades learning how Sera and Persephone are two different people, regardless of Sera housing her soul and Sera learning about who Persephone was and what happened to her all those centuries ago. There's still foul afoot so Sera has to be wary of ghosts from Persophones past while trying to hide from Alpha's as she starts to go into heat. No worries y'all, there are definitely some spicey scenes in this book but be prepared because we are once again left dangling from a cliff. Hang in there y'all, I just know the final book is gonna be a banger!

Lexi C. Foss has outdone herself with "A Nest of Lies," the third book in the Netherworld Fae series. This second installment of Persephone's journey is nothing short of spectacular, easily earning a solid five stars. The rich, complex world that Foss began building in the first book is expanded upon here with masterful storytelling and breathtaking twists. Each character is meticulously crafted, adding layers to an already intricate plot.

One of the standout elements of this book is the incredible character development. Sera, in particular, shines brightly, and it’s clear that Foss has a knack for creating memorable and relatable personalities. The reverse harem dynamic adds an extra layer of intrigue and tension, making every interaction feel charged with emotion. The world-building is equally impressive, with vivid descriptions that transport you directly into the heart of the Netherworld.

And then there’s that ending—the final chapter is an absolute game-changer! The cliffhanger is so expertly done that it leaves you desperately yearning for the next book. I'm seriously considering inventing a time machine just to jump ahead to the release of the fourth installment! "A Nest of Lies" isn't just a great read; it’s an immersive experience that captivates from start to finish. If you love dark fae fantasy with a compelling reverse harem storyline, this is a must-read.

A Nest of Lies pulls you deeper into the Netherworld with claws out and zero apologies. This story doesn’t ease you in — it grabs hold and dares you to keep up. The tension is constant, the atmosphere heavy with secrets, and every page feels like it’s building toward something volatile.
Sera’s journey is what truly anchors the book. Watching her come to terms with who — and what — she is feels raw and earned. She’s not instantly powerful or perfectly confident, and that vulnerability makes her strength all the more satisfying. The more she learns about her place in this world, the more dangerous everything becomes, and you can feel that pressure tightening chapter by chapter.
The male leads add layers rather than noise. Each one brings a distinct energy, and the dynamics between them are charged, complicated, and often unpredictable. The chemistry simmers and sparks without overpowering the plot, which is something I really appreciated. This book knows how to balance heat with story.
What stood out most was the tone — dark without being hollow, sensual without losing substance. The world feels alive and slightly unhinged in the best way, full of power plays, hidden motives, and the sense that no one is telling the full truth. And just when you think you’ve got your footing, the story shifts and reminds you that trust is a luxury in the Netherworld.

A Nest of Lies picks up exactly where Bride of Death left us — mid‑chaos, mid‑betrayal, and mid‑identity crisis — coming back into this world felt like stepping straight into the emotional wreckage, and I love when a sequel respects the momentum of book one, and this one does exactly that.

What pulled me in most was the shift in tone. The lies aren’t just plot devices here — they’re the foundation every character is forced to stand on, and watching those foundations crack is where the story hits hardest. I found myself more invested in the internal unraveling than the external conflict.

There’s tension, frustration, and a lot of “oh, so that’s what was really going on,” and I enjoyed how those reveals reframed earlier assumptions. It’s the kind of sequel that deepens the world without drowning you in lore, and the emotional stakes feel sharper because of it.

If you liked the first book for its mythology and morally grey edges, this one leans even harder into both — but with more clarity, more consequences, and more personal cost.

Tropes
• Fated‑but‑complicated bond
• Identity revelations
• Supernatural politics
• Morally grey love interest
• Found loyalty over inherited duty
• Secrets coming to light

Triggers Warnings
• Violence and bloodshed
• Manipulation and gaslighting themes
• Death and grief elements
• Power imbalance dynamics
• Psychological tension

Nest of Lies is a fantastic continuation of the Netherworld Fae trilogy and delivers exactly what I want from a strong book two: deeper character growth, heightened tension, and answers that only lead to even bigger questions. Sera’s journey from “human on the run” to Mythos Fae Omega is compelling, especially as her hidden memories and impending heat raise the stakes at every turn. The constant sense of being hunted keeps the pacing tight and the tension deliciously high.
The dynamic between Sera, Hades, Morpheus, and Maliki is where this book truly shines. Their individual relationships continue to evolve in meaningful ways, with possessiveness, trust, and vulnerability all colliding as the mate circle begins to solidify. The banter, the protectiveness, and the slow unraveling of centuries-old grudges make every interaction feel earned. Add in Lexi C Floss’s immersive world-building, clever touches of humor, and simmering spice, and it’s impossible to put down.
Fair warning: this book does end on a cliffhanger—but it’s the kind that leaves you desperate, not frustrated. If you enjoy reverse harem, mythological fae, destined mates, and plot twists layered with secrets, Nest of Lies is a must-read and sets the stage perfectly for the final book. I’m counting down until Knotted Myths.

A Nest of Lies is book two in the Netherworld Fae trilogy. The books must be read in order for maximum enjoyment. As with book one, book two ends on a cliffhanger.

Serapina is a newly discovered omega with a quickly approaching first heat. All she has to do is figure out how to get her chosen mates to share her without kiIIing each other in the process, rediscover her inner omega, and help solve a two thousand year old mystery. No problem.

Hades and Morpheus are fated to each love Sera. Maliki is destined to protect her. They are all tied to her in some way. Now the three (looking at you here, Hades) need to learn to put their alpha instincts in check and share while protecting Sera from a hidden threat.

I adore the characters in this trilogy. Each has a compelling story arc with personal (and group) growth. While this is a slow burn, the eventual spice delivers with punch.

Her oncoming heat has caused a few issues but also forces the men to actually work together 😅 I mean it’s definitely not smooth going and there’s a lot of reluctance on a certain Gods part but you do see them really begin to gel together as a unit 🥰 Hades realises the mistakes he’s made and goes some way to grovel to his omega; Morpheus is determined to make sure he’s a part of her life and will fight anyone who gets in his way; Mal is just adorable and realises his place is cemented by his women’s side!!
Sera herself begins to explore more of what her nature means and there’s a seer naivety to her but also a strong core who will stand up for herself when needed 😄 there’s a good pace to this along with a balance of spicy spicy 🥵 scenes and plot development! The crucial element is we learn more about what happened to Persephone and the Omegas through Sera and after that cliffhanger you’ll be just as eager for the last book and the answers it brings 😳

A Nest of Lies, Book 2 in the Netherworld Trilogy, picked up exactly where Bride of Death left off. This story is absolutely addicting with these intriguing characters!

The three MMCs, Hades, Morpheus, and Maliki are the perfect Alpha males. When Hades finally realizes and accepts that Serapina truly has no memory of her life as Persephone, that is when we got the first true glimpse of who Hades really is. The effort that he puts forth to try to fix the wrongs in his past is so heartwarming. He knows he made a major mistake many years ago and doesn’t want to make that mistake again.

Can Hades accept that he may need to share his mate with the other two males? Can he handle that? Oh and the SPICE……let me just say, it is HOT!!!! I am thoroughly enjoying this series.

Now let’s talk audio….this entire cast did a phenomenal job with portraying their characters. The male voices, every single one of them, are delicious. But the female narrator, she is amazing as she depicts this innocent human girl that had been thrown into a world completely unfamiliar to her. This was a fantastic listen and I can’t wait til this series is complete!!! It can’t come soon enough!

A Nest of Lies is the second book in the trilogy series.
Sera is coming into her first heat and has set off a beacon to all the Alpha's in Hades Underworld and is being hunted, suddenly she's whisked away into hiding. She's starting to recognize that she's an Omega and her needs that are not just one Alpha but from the three Alphas.
She has three Alpha's that are more than happy to help her through it.
Hades, the God of Death
Morpheus, the God of Dreams
Maliki, the Enforcer of Death
Hades, is starting to understand who Sera really is and putting her needs above his. He's also coming to terms that he needs Morpheus and Maliki within his mate circle.
The visualization of the characters and the Underworld make you feel like you're there with them and being a voyager watching the scenes. That's how great the story telling is by Lexi.
This story does end with a cliffhanger. FYI
Lexi has a way with her writing that makes you want more. Don't miss out on an amazing worthwhile series..

It’s getting hot in here… This second book is definitely heating up the spice, while simultaneously bringing the characters closer together. I personally prefer story over spice, so as a result this book was a little less enticing compared to book one. That being said, I still love the character building in this part of the story. Hades still being clueless at times but really trying, Maliki as the night in dark armor, Morpheus whose selfishness becomes more and more obvious. And of course Serapina who’s starting to glow as the woman she is.

The connection between Serapina and Persephone remains unclear, but I love how these men love Serapina as a person, no matter what. The world they’re living in is fun to explore, and I enjoy watching it through Serapina’s eyes. In full honesty I wouldn’t have minded a little less spice, but I know that’s entirely a me-thing. If you love your books spicy, this one will be absolutely perfect.

The cliffhanger at the end of this book is the kind where you really want to know what’s coming next… So let’s hope book three will be here quickly!

I'm really liking this series!

At the beginning of this book Hades has to whisk Sera away to safety before going back for Maliki as Alphas now know there is an unclaimed Omega and will tear the world apart to find her. It seems there are characters from other series mentioned here and I am definitely curious about their stories so I'll be hunting those out for my reading list! Some good character development in this book especially from Hades as he (finally) realises that although Serapina has Persephone's soul she isn't actually Persephone and is a person in her own right. He also comes to the realisation that Sera needs a mate circle and for her sake he needs to learn to share.
My favourite, Morpheus also turns up, to be a thorn in Hades side but Sera wants him and it seems that what Sera wants, Sera gets and all 3 men are happy to ensure that happens.
There is a cliffhanger, which we knew there would be! I'm really looking forward to the final book in the trilogy now, I have really no idea how this is going to go!

Book two, must read book one first!

We pick right up where book one left off. I’m obsessed with Sera’s men. Morpheous continues to be whatever Sera needs him to be. Maliki is continuing to grow as a character and coming into his own. And last but definitely not least… Hades. He’s having to learn how to share a mate and come to terms that she is Persephone reincarnated. Yes, she’s housing her soul but they are DIFFERENT people. He’s trying, BIG emphasis on the trying, to be better. But hey, that’s all we can really ask of him, hm?

Sera is learning what it means to be an Omega. She’s not technically mated, yet, so she’s putting out that big ol HEAT sign and calling every alpha to her need. So Hades takes them away to a hidden island in the human realm, where Sera gets a happy little reunion with her sister.

This book was a quick read. There were some spicy scenes, foul ghosts from Persephone's past, and this maddening heat they have to get through together. But the best part? (Or worst) we’re left on another cliffhanger! I can’t wait to read the next book!

A Nest of Lies by Lexi C. Foss is the second book in the Netherworld Fae series and picks up right where the last book left us and was utter perfection! Because yea in true Lexi fashion this series is a unique take on Persephone and Hades and I’m 100% here for it! Lexi is a master at crafting stories that draw you in with characters so real and entertaining you never want to say goodbye too and this one is no exception. And the world building? Chefs kiss as always! I loved seeing Sera come in to her own and Hades trying to fix everything of course was perfection as well. If you love a good grovel story where the mc has to earn back his place and forgiveness then this is the one for you! Also if you’re a fan if any of the other series then trust be when I say you’re going to definitely want to read this one too!!! And that ending?!?! Yes!!! I can’t wait for the next book and need it stat!

This book drops you right back into the chaos and I was hooked immediately. Sera is still human, still stubborn, and still refusing to be treated like a replacement or a prize, which I LOVED. She feels more confident here even though everything around her keeps getting more dangerous and complicated.

Hades surprised me in this one. Watching him slowly realize Sera is her own person and not just a stand-in for his past was really satisfying. Morpheus stays slippery and magnetic, always keeping you guessing. And Maliki? Still my favorite. Sharp, lethal, loyal, and quietly always there. Every scene with him just hits you right in the feels.

The story doesn’t slow down. There’s fighting, running, emotional pressure, and Sera’s heat throws gasoline on everything. Super spicy!

And that ending? Absolutely brutal. Somehow worse than book one. I flew through this and now I need the final book immediately.

Reverse Harem, and specifically Omegaverse is my favorite kind of book(s)/series. And it has nothing to do with the level of spice you get from those kinds of books. But rather the show of immense love, devotion, and just how a group of people can come together and love one person. It shows you all the different ways a person is meant to be loved and cared for and this series is no different.

Sera is finally coming into her place in the "pack"/"mate-circle. Hades is accepting his mistakes and figuring out how to make amends for all of the mistakes/anger he had in the previous book. Morpheus and Maliki are finding their rhythm, as they have been chosen to share Sera's heat but as we all know; Hades needs to fix his mistakes and figure out how to get Sera to accept him as well.

From page one, A Nest of Lies drags you into the Netherworld and holds on with all of it's might. That cliffhanger leaves you gasping for the next book.

A Nest Of Lies: Netherworld Fae by Lexi C. Foss is book 2 in this series reimagining the tale of Hades and Persephone. Serapina continues to get to know Maliki and Morpheous while Hades begins to believe she doesn't have Persephone’s memories. As Serapina's heat nears can Hade's gain her forgiveness and learn to share or will he lose her to Morpheos and Malaki?
I enjoyed this book immensely. As Hades realizes his mistakes we get to see a whole new side of him. I am loving that Morpheous is finally getting a chance with Serapina after a millennium. I love how they all seek to make her happy. However there is still danger as the other alphas pursue and her mother apparently still has plans. The pace and steam pick up in this book.
If you enjoy omegaverses with alphas that will protect the omega by any means necessary this is it. This book includes alphas, omega, gods, goddesses, mythology, magic, alternate realms, supernaturals, powwrs, heats, knots, and possessive mates.

Seraphina is Persephone reincarnated but her Mate Hades doesn't believe she doesn't remember her previous life and thinks shes playing him.
But when he finally starts to understand her, thanks to the other men she has feelings (Malikai and Morpheus)for help him understand and she falls for them and doesn't trust Hades.
He's is now learning to share and to trust others
After all it's easier to protect your mate if there is three of you!
With her heat approaching and feral Alphas that can smell her, it's up to all of them to protect her and Mist her out of trouble!
But can they save her from"Mommy Goddess Dearest"?!?!?

Nest of Lies by Lexi Foss absolutely delivers as the second book in the trilogy, and wow, does it get juicy. The web of connections tightens, the emotional stakes rise, and I found myself genuinely salivating for what comes next.

That ending? A brutal cliffhanger. Just when Hades starts to truly grasp that Sera is not Persephone, Lexi Foss drops a bombshell that made me immediately question everything. Will this be growth… or his undoing? I need answers now!

Morpheus remains my favorite of the three MMCs. His patience with Sera, the way he guides her toward understanding without overpowering her, is everything. A respectful, calm king with a bold, grounded presence? Absolute kryptonite!!

This installment deepens the intrigue, strengthens the relationships, and raises the tension in all the right ways.
