Biography

MATT SHAW was born, quite by accident (his mother tripped, he shot out) September 30th 1980 in Winchester hospital where he was immediately placed on the baby ward and EBay. Some twelve years later (wandering the corridors of the hospital and playing with road kill when he was on day release), the listing closed and he remained unsold, he was booted out of the hospital to start his life as a writer and hobbit – beginning with writing screenplays and short stories for his own amusement before finally getting published when he was twenty-seven years and forty-five seconds old.

Once Published weekly in a lad's magazine with his photography work, Matt Shaw is also a published author and cartoonist. Has to be said, can be a bit of a flirt and definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, somewhat of a klutz.

I got this book at the chapter 3 book con at Western super-mare!
It was the one book I knew I wanted! My mum got me into splatterpunk and I have read loads before the con! But I also love bugs. They are one of my autistic special interests. So this was the best combo for me!
I met Matt Shaw and he was super friendly and made me feel really welcome!!
Okay to the book!
I bloody loved this. It was filthy!! Gory!! Captivating!! And I couldn’t put this book down!! It will always have a spot in my top ten books ever!! If you are looking for something to read. I can really recommend this!! I’m hoping the book hits well and has a lot of downloads. As it needs a second. We NEED to know what happens next!
It was four intertwining stories which were truly incredible to read and each had brilliant plots that interlocked at the end! Can’t recommend this book enough!!
THANK YOU MATT!!!

Survival, sacrifice, revenge and redemption interplay in these four interlinked stories.

The non-linear storylines are wonderful and any assumptions you might have drawn are beautifully shattered at each and every turn. Think Pulp Fiction and you are almost there.

The settings are cinematic, you can feel every sense of your surroundings. The tension build before scene changes are very cleverly done - you don’t know how much more you can take and then - bam - you are immersed in another scene and can take a breath…but only a short breath.

This would transfer impeccably to the big screen. At least then I might be able to anticipate when to look away!

Four interlinking stories. Millions of BUGS

The interlinking stories here are great, and it adds another level to the tales as it leaves you guessing about how they're linked before pulling the rug out from under you and making you guess again. Expect lots of suspense, creepiness and of course, lots of bugs. A fantastic selection here, which is sure to please.

Summary: Beneath the frozen world, giant bugs awaken at night to feast on humanity. A desperate motel owner fights for our survival. A family’s camping trip turns into a nightmare. A weekend getaway spirals into terror. Four chilling tales. One apocalyptic swarm. Millions of BUGS.

Review: These stories crawl under your skin and stay there. Each story is unsettling, suspenseful, and impossible to put down - though maybe not the best bedtime read if bugs make your skin crawl. Creepy, gripping, and delightfully disturbing - a must-read for horror fans!

Bugs on the run

Another excellent story from Matt Shaw! I loved the different storyline going on in this book. I just addicted to his books and must have more. So, I bought 6 more of his books.

I have read many of Matt Shaw’s books and this is the first one I had to push myself to finish. Made no sense and dragged out way too much. Not on my recommended list
