Welcome to Noelle’s world where creativity and filth comingle and make for a delightful cocktail to intoxicate your senses and fill your time Classically trained in the art of procrastination, seduction and distraction. I’m a lover of all things creative, books, movies, music, cooking and art. A history nerd to my core and avid studier of powerful She wolves that have shaped our modern history. I like to watch old movies when it rains and listen to dry satirical podcasts when I cook. I make a mean Old Fashioned and love the smell of cigar smoke and old leather. I write about men I want to love and places I want to go. My laptop has become like an appendage as I never know when something deliciously dirty may pop in this crazy head. ★★★★! Speak, book 2 of 3. Sophie & Rhys Slate’s story continues as every-day life sets in!
Books in The Voice Trilogy Series should be read in order: Book 1: Whisper Book 2: Speak Book 3: Shout
In Whisper (book 1) library employee Sophie Noelle was swept of her feet by playboy, heir and business mogul Rhys Slate at an off-site wedding. She was ill equipped to handle such an onslaught of sexual prowess and got caught in a web of seduction, sex, secrets.
Speak (book 2) picks up after book 1’s gloomy ending. The story goes on to follow them back home after their brief affair. While Rhys is not done with Sophie, she is wiser to the games. Rhys finds himself forced to confront his ways. All while villains stir and their pasts try to come back to bite them…
Eight words to describe Rhys Slate: Taunting, charming, worldly, cocky, enigmatic, non-committal, demanding and possessive.
Seven words to describe Sophie Noelle: Sweet, naïve, fiery, smart, reflective, meek and loyal.
Speak, told from Sophie’s POV is an unfolding game of hot-cold seduction, secrets, jealousy and sex. Ending leads right to book 3, Shout for the conclusion of their story.
5 "Holy Crap I did not see that coming!!" Stars!!!
The perfect sequel to Whisper (The Voice Trilogy Book 1)
FINALLY!!! Book 2 of a series that doesn’t fall flat! Brilliant! -Looks up to the book heavens and sings praises!- (don’t laugh at my singing! Haha)
I can’t say too much about the story as I am a big believer in non-spoilers, but trust me when I say if you give this series a shot you will not spend a single moment regretting it!
Alpha-male with a great heart- check! Strong, independent and utterly adorable heroin- check! Hot sex, intrigue, scheming, heartache, love, undeniable connection, plotting ex-lovers, did I say HOT SEX? Holy hell, YES! – check Check CHECK!!!!
There is a cliffhanger and I’ll admit I had no idea it was coming. I didn’t read any of the reviews prior to reading this book, I read it purely off my love for the first one. I was taken completely off-guard and to be honest I wouldn’t have it any other way! I cannot wait for Shout!!! In the Indie community there is talk of hidden gems. Authors that everyone WHISPERs…() about in the hallways SPEAKing quietly of them eventually being seen and picked up by a publishing house. For me Noelle is one such author. If only they would expand their horizons and see what is right in front of them!! That’s me SHOUTing. Superb execution of the storyline!
Just read this- take a deep breath and feel it as you read it
“He glowers for a split second before his eyes glaze over with a licentious, manipulative intent. Every inch of my body springs to attention with his smoking look. I tamp it down, unwilling to let my body betray me. I will not stay. He rises with purpose from the couch, slow and lithe. His eyes are narrowed on me and he pulls that lip through his teeth. A rattle erupts in my loins in unison with his teeth, ringing in my blood. Fight it! .....”
Feel that? Now go read it- because that was just a taste of how amazing this writer is!
OMG this book was AWESOME! And HOT! Holy cow don't get me started on the hotness who is Rhys Slate! Noelle blew me away with this book. It was very hard to put down. Rhys is an alpha male, who's hot, sexy, romantic & has a past like many do (he likes his women). Sophie cares for Rhys a lot. She misses him when she isn't with him, but his past lingers in her mind & she doesn't know if she can get over it. Rhys constantly thinks about Sophie & wants to always have her around, but he gets jealous when her past comes face to face with him. The connection between the two is magnetic, but are they really good for each other? Will they be able to look past the "old" & move on with their future? I love Rhys & Sophie! Sophie grounds Rhys & makes him a better man. Rhys treats Sophie like a woman should be treated. SPEAK had me smiling, laughing & melting. Some parts even gave me the "butterfly flutter" feeling, but it also broke my heart several times. There was a moment where I literally gasped, but you will need to read it to find out why. This was an awesome story of two people that have an instant connection but can be stubborn headed when it comes to fighting that connection. Thank you Noelle Bodhaine for giving me the chance to fall in love with Sophie & Rhys. (You will need to read Whisper first as it is book 1 in the trilogy).
Absolutely perfect sequel to Whisper. In this 2nd book we get to read more of how Rhys and Sophie are learning to blend their lives together. The first book pulled my in completely and I was so eager to read this next instalment. Trust me, Noelle did not disappoint on this book either!
Rhys Slate has very quickly become one of my top favourite book boyfriends.
Noelle Bodhaine has certainly cemented her way into my list of top authors to follow. I can’t wait to read more in the future from this writer.
The writing is fantastic!!! Noelle has sucked me into her series and am patiently awaiting book 3 ~ SHOUT. I can't wait to see how it's all going to end up.
The editing is fantastic and it's really hard to believe Whisper and Speak are her first books.
The Voice trilogy is a truly great story. The hero has a sketchy past, and an ex that can not take a hint. The heroine is sweet and kind, and constantly getting her heart broke. Just when things seem to be coming together, bam, cliffhanger ending. I think I want to Shout!
I am in love with Rhys and Sophie! There story is worth reading and waiting for. I love the back and forth. I love the emotion Noelle draws out in me and I LOVE her writing style!! This series is a MUST read!
I just love the strength Sophie and Rhys give each other. Rhys is such a powerhouse but having Sophie around shows the depth of his character. a true love story that I cannot wait but continue in the third book.
WOW.. This book will blow you away love this series and absolutely love Rhys and Sophie... I need the next book like NOW.. Was not expecting that cliffhanger
Sophie struggles through grieving of her Grandparent. The only family she had left. After her death, she takes a risk and goes to New York with Rhys. Their relationship takes the next level they confess their love, but after her grandmothers death, she goes back home to save her house. She recieves a call off her best friend Olivia. Rhys has been in a serious accident. She rushes back with no idea what will happen to Rhys.
An enjoyable read, but it seems their relationship is just sexual. I am interested to see if there is more to it if Rhys recovers...
Once again, I'm left hanging. It's all good though because I have Shout and will be cracking that sucker open as soon as I'm done here. I have to say that I'm disappointed in Sophie. She is so strong, but constantly doubts herself and doubts Rhys' feelings for her. I just hope that it's not too late for them. I'm all about a HEA, so you better not disappoint me, Ms. Bodhaine. ;)
undeniably maddening. that bitch nadjia or nadia or whatever i choose to not spell her name correctly is so annoying. her annoying and crazy ass. I love how noelle writes an ending as a cliffhanger but it doesn’t feel like a cliffhanger iykwim
Little bit more plot and activity outside of the bedroom. But overkill amount of sex, descriptors are great but it becomes too repetitive. Hoping this builds to a satisfying conclusion.
The story, the writing, the relationship all really heats up here in book two of the Voice Trilogy. Sophie is dealing with a tragedy but can't deal with Rhys at the same time. Rhys comes to realize Sophie means more to him than he expected any woman to mean. When he tries to push her for more, things become even more complicated and Sophie realizes this relationship might be right for her.
I'm so looking forward to book three, Shout! This story is becoming even better than I imagined it to be.
This is book 2 of The Voice Trilogy and book 1 - Whisper needs to be read first.
Sophie Noelle is shattered when a newspaper article comes out showing a picture of Rhys Slate with his ex, Nadja Vladova. Doing the only thing she knows how she cuts Rhys out and proceeds to get on with her life. Yet a month later she sees Rhys and they talk.
Will Rhys be able to explain everything to Sophie and tell her the truth and will Sophie be able to forgive him? When Sophie loses what is left of her family she heads to New York with Rhys only to be again confronted with Nadja and Kylie.
As more of Rhys's past comes to light, Sophie is left with so many questions and wonders where she fits in and what to make of herself. She heads back home again to deal with her emotions and to find herself.
Only this time she may not get the chance again with Rhys.
Wow - this book again left me questioning so much on how this society world works.
I love Sophie and can completely understand where she is coming from and why she wonders and questions if she fits in. She is being subjected to so much crap that it's no wonder she needs to get away. Every time she lets Rhys in something seems to happen that puts them back a step and I can't believe how many tears she has shed, and understandably so.
Rhys is desperately trying to prove his love to Sophie but he has a pretty messy past which is getting revealed to Sophie as a way of him losing her. I know he is doing everything he can to protect her from his past but not being honest in the first place seems to be costing him her love.
The end is difficult and I really don't care for Bianca, Rhys's mom at all. She is so mean and manipulative and I have no idea why she cares for Nadja more than her own son.
Looking forward to seeing how it all ends in book 3!!
This trilogy just keeps getting better and better!! The chemistry between Rhys and Sophie is off the charts! The more I get inside her head, the more I can relate. And Rhys, oh Rhys! He has my heart! As for Nadja... grrr! But I guess every book must have a villain! And, of course, I'm a sucker for cliffys! I can't wait to get started on the last book and cheer Rhys and Sophie on! Finished book two in one night and I'm excited to do the same with book 3! Get this book!! You won't be disappointed!!
Sophie has finally got her big girl panties on and is telling it like it is! Good for her. This book was much more enjoyable than Whisper. Sophie wasn't as timid in this book, but she went through some extremely heart wrenching things to get there.
I began to dislike Rhys in this book as his past was always coming back and oh boy Nadja needs a slap haha... That's the makings of a good book, getting caught up in the stories and wanting to be in the book with the characters.
