Pole Position is an action packed spicy novella about formula one racing. Bianca is a feisty and independent race car driver at the top of the league. She fights hard to prove herself. Kristian is the new team principal. The sparks fly between them but he tries to keep it professional but those walls eventually come down. The banter and chemistry was fun. The story also tackled some bigger topics, like what female athletes have to endure as opposed to male athletes.

Whyyyyyy are there not more spicy books about race car women???? This book was absolutely fantastic!
Kristian is the new manager of a racing team and is doing a great job until he falls for one of his drivers, Bianca. He falls for her and even stands up for her when others treat her less.
I absolutely loved the writing and the badass female characters. I can’t wait to read what KL writes next. Definitely a one click author for me!!!

Love this faced paced, spicy, fun read about a female F1 driver and the new team manager that can’t help but fall for each other.
Bianca is no wilting flower - far from it. She has to be a strong woman to take on the judgement from others who don’t think she should be where she’s at. Kristian has no problem butting heads with her when needed and stepping up to shut down those who want to disrespect and cut down Bianca.
They are delicious together and the grumpy cinnamon roll man is right up my alley!!
Fast, easy read that is a joy to read and makes you wanting more - I know I do!

This was a part of a series but it is still a standalone. Bianca was a race car driver and she loved it. Her teammate Sophia and her run a few races. The whole team was called into the office to say they were getting a new team principal to replace Harold. Harold got into some trouble. The new team principal was Kristian. He was doing a great job. Bianca was a tough nut to crack but she eventually opened up to Kristian. She loved getting a rise out of him. Great book.

Another F1 slam dunk! This short rollercoaster of a story is set in the same racing world as the author's previous F1 novel, Lights Out. Following Bianca as she set the track ablaze was fantastic. Kristian is determined to bring the team back into order, but he didn't count on Bianca. Despite his intentions of look but don't touch, these two set a new record for giving into their desires with an explosive dynamic. Watching them through their journey of stolen glances and barely-there touches to full-on public handfuls and lipstick stains only served to showcase this author's talent for fitting an entire romance arc into 156 pages of non-stop adrenaline. I don't know a damn thing about F1 racing, but I was able to follow the story with no issues. This book itself earns the pole position. Pop the bubbly!

Obsessed with the chemistry between Bianca and Kristian! I loved Bianca’s fiery attitude and how she made the first move. She is driven (no pun intended) and is used to getting what she wants. Kristian is instantly attracted to Bianca, however due to him being her boss he tries to maintain professional given this circumstance. The build up was a lot of fun to read - there was obvious sexual tension and a lot of flirty banter. The push and pull between these two was fantastic!
This is a fun novella centered around a fiery Italian driver, set in an exhilarating sport with loads of steamy spice. Love the forbidden aspects with both the age gap and boss/employee tropes! This is a great read if you’re looking for both an engaging story and spice! It really encapsulates the thrilling world of F1 racing and combines it with a good forbidden romance!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This book follows the McClaren race car team. Their drivers are both women. Bianca Rossi and Sofia Harrington were on track to win the constructor’s championship until it all blew up. Kristian Wright came on as principal for the team. Kristian planned to get the team back on track and win the constructor’s championship. Kristian had his hands full with the talent, especially Bianca. Bianca decided that Kristian would be hers right from the start. There was no way Kristian could resist. Now, to keep it a secret. That might be a problem. Especially when it turned out they genuinely liked each other’s company. This book is fast paced and fairly short. When a story comes out about how female drivers are treated with Bianca and Kristian as the main attraction, things get rocky. Will these two come away from this unscathed? This book is well worth the read. Readers will read this in one sitting. Ms. Thorne knows how to keep readers interested. I am really enjoying this series.

I really enjoyed Pole Position. Whilst Lights Out will always be my favourite i did love Bianca and Kristian’s story as well. I loved how the author managed to balance Bianca’s character by being tough and a bit grumpy whilst not being a complete nightmare. She had an ego just as any other elite athlete would and her character was done very well. I loved seeing her be a boss of her sport and absolutely owning and knowing that she was one of the best. I really liked Kristian too and loved how passionate he was about his job and doing things to improve the sport for women. The chemistry between the two was red hot and i loved seeing how they progressed. My favourite part of the book though was Bianca being the face of change for women driver’s and i loved the ending scene between her and Maddie.

While this book was a quick read, it definitely packed some punch with the fiery Bianca. Being a driver in a mainly male dominated sport, Bianca fought her way to get to the top. She was one of the best female drivers currently and nothing would stop her, even the arrogant new team principal Kristian Wright. Handsome…yes. Brilliant…yes. Soft for a cute brunette…maybe.
Tempers flared between the two at the start of their relationship, but Bianca knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to get him. Even though they shouldn’t fool around being coworkers, once the passion is ignited there’s no stopping them until one innocent drunken move may have their careers come crashing down around them.
I loved these two and the banter, anger and lust they had for each other.

Bianca Rossi is one amazing driver but finds her future uncertain when the principal for McLaren Racing is charged with fraud smack dab in the middle of the season. In walks Kristian Eright as new principal and she can’t keep her eyes to herself even though he is many years her senior.
I knew nothing about Formula One racing going into this story and find myself now understanding it a bit more. K.L. Thorne throws some heat into this sport making it all that more exciting! This is one I read from start to finish in just one sitting, I couldn’t put it down! This is the sequel to Lights Out: A Formula One Romance although I was completely fine reading it on its own… but I now crave just a bit more and will soon backtrack to read book 1.

Well I must admit, I don't think I'll ever read a bad book by K.L. just saying.
This was fast paced, action packed, lust addled, banter packed read.
I adored the characters, it's refreshing to see stories written with the FMC being in a male dominated industry. We see the challenges as a female in such an industry.
The FMC has clawed her way to the top. She is headstrong and this I love for her.
The MMC is a blast. Whilst he is strict he has to be in order to be the best and coach the best.
I loved their chemistry and banter, the will they won't they was really fun.

When this one got hot, it was a scorcher. I really did enjoy the story but even for a novella I feel like it wrapped up too quickly. I don't know how the characters are moving forward and I really want to know! The epilogue did tie back to the previous Lights Out novel but I still have very very big NOW WHAT? feelings. I hope maybe there will be a full length sequel.
I also felt like there was way too much focus on the age gap but also that's not really my favorite trope in general so that might be a me thing.

Bianca takes a bit to like. She is a bit full of herself. I do get it as she is a great driver, but she needed to learn to be a bit more humble. Easier said then done. Enter Kristian, who will not let her think that she is not replaceable as a driver. He shows her how to be a team player and you can still be an amazing driver while looking out for your team.
Now, Bianca and Kristian clash a lot of the time. Bianca also likes to get under his skin and she does it oh so well. Finally the heat gets to be too much for Kristian and the sheets go up in flames with the intensity between these two. It was hot, hot, hot!

The banter though out was fab and the important topics with in the book and spice were well written. Just wish I was longer would love to have read more.

I really enjoyed this story. It’s my first time reading a K.L. book but won’t be my last. Her writing style is top notch and she knows how to keep you interested from the first page til the end.

March 11, 2025Sexy As Sin Series story for Bianca Rossi and Kristian Wright. I have to say I loved Bianca and so wanted to be here when I was younger, she is everything I was but a race car driver. I have to say I loved how this story explains the driving and the relationship between the drivers and the fans and management too. I loved the drama and the interaction with these two characters over all.

Bianca Rossi is McClaren first driver, but now everything might change as there's a new team principal, Kristian Wright.
Both are alfa people, and they both started as too high maintenance. I didn't feel really comfortable with any of them at the beginning.
But half way through I started to see the same thing that I loved about Lights Out and, although it doesn't get as good as Maddie's book, it gets close.

Enjoyed this fast paced F1 romance - it was pretty well fleshed out for a novella. Loved reading about women dominating in traditionally male-dominated spaces. The romance was cute and spicy - I liked their banter and how the FMC goes for what she wants. Though I wished the ending was wrapped up a bit more neatly. Would love to read this if it was a full length novel.
Would read again, as well as anything else K. L. Thorne writes.

This is the 2nd book i’ve read in this series and I love how they’re all straight to the point!! No third act breakups!! Just good relationship building and some steamy scenes!! I loved Kristian and Bianca relationship and how he didn’t just throw her under the bus when it all came to! He appreciated that she was a strong woman!

I loved Bianca! She’s a woman who see what she wants (or in this case, who) and goes after it! In this case, she decides that’s Kristian. Kristian is a grumpy cinnamon roll and I want to lick him all over! This book is an amazing easy read and I ate it up like it was a delicious chocolate chip cookie! I want more because one is never enough!

What makes Pole Position truly stand out is its authentic characters—flawed, ambitious, and beautifully human. Bianca’s journey is more than just a race; it’s about chasing dreams, confronting fears, and discovering what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself. My only complaint is that the book ended far too soon!

A fun and fast F1 romance! This novella was a great mix of sports excitement and steam. I enjoyed the chemistry and banter between Kristian and Bianca. Although I would have wished for a more definite ending, this was a great, quick, satisfying read.
