I read this in one sitting as I was instantly drawn to the story of Brianna and Chris. They both went through so much as teenagers, especially Chris. I was so happy Chris finally stopped holding back his true feelings for his best friend's sister. Chris and Brianna both loved each other, but it all fell apart on the night after Brianna's graduation.
They reconnect after several years go by, and Brianna moves back with her two boys. Chris still loves Brianna but knows he needs to take it slow since she came out of an abusive relationship with her ex-husband.
This definitely has some tough topics in it, so be mindful before going in.
I'm just so happy that Chris and Brianna got their happily ever after!

This story completely tugged at my heartstrings. Brianna and Chris’s journey is one of unspoken love, heartbreak, and the kind of chemistry that never really fades. You can feel every ounce of their pain and longing—from the innocence of young love to the raw emotions of their reunion years later.
I loved how the author captured that push and pull between wanting to move on and being unable to let go of the one person who truly feels like home. Their second chance felt both inevitable and hard-earned, and I was rooting for them every step of the way.

Chris and Brianna really pulled me in. and I loved that even though they parted ways, time brought them back again. and Chris was so amazing to Brianna after what she'd gone through with her ex. he was so patient and understanding. taking his time and proving to her he would be there fur get always. this story had me all up in my emotions, tugging at my heart.

I love me a love story about family, healing and redemption. This book is definitely all that. Pent-up emotions, slow burn romance, happy ever after - thats the story of Brianna and Chris. I like that it has a different stages about their life. I was so antsy for part two. Definitely a great read! Kudos to the author!

When you think " I should call him" but don't, yes she should have called him! or vice versa. Love that we get the before story and not as flashbacks and the HEA.

I loved this book so much! I loved how the book gave the back story from when they were teenagers. My heart went out to Brianna but I’m so glad Chris and Brianna found their way back to each other.

This one was a sweet, brother's best friend, second chance romance, fated love story. The MMC is so easy to fall for with his undying love for the FMC.
It's hard to give my full opinion without spoilers, but let's just say I was so frustrated at the reasoning for the gap between the first and second chance. Although, I think that was the point 😉
This book isn't spicy, so it was a little out of my usual, and the time jump felt excessive. The time jump is the reason for my rating
