This was a short dark quick read that I wish was longer. Ashleigh is in love with the evil vampire king, Nicolas, who only exists in her nightmares so what does she do she writes a book about him. This was a hot little book that is the first book in a new series too me. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this prequel to Ms. Sieverding's excellent Nightwalkers series. I couldn't stop reading it once I got started! As always, I love Ms. Sieverding's imagery and also enjoyed the interactions between all of the characters. The characters jumped off the page, and their relationships felt very real to me. (And Ashleigh and her grandpa were super cute.) The story ends leaving you wanting more, so it's good there's a series that follows.
