She saved him. And he saved her right back.

Charlie’s life comes to a halt after a helicopter accident. Mia flies the plane that rescues him. Their meet-cute is unconventional, but it sets in motion a love story that will change the course of both their futures.

Mia has landed her dream job. She’s close with her family and she adores living in the city. She’s worked her whole life to become a pilot, and when she meets Charlie, she’s forced to reckon with the fact that their attraction is a complication in her otherwise content life. While she tries hard to resist their chemistry and put Charlie in the friend zone, she can’t help falling for him.

Charlie is at a dead end. Working the family farm was never what he wanted to do, but obligation forces his hand. While his helicopter accident is traumatic, it wakes him up. So does the hot blonde who rescues him. Charlie wants nothing more than to be with Mia, but there are things he must do for himself before he can be the kind of man she needs.

I absolutely loved and devoured this book!

We follow Charlie and Mia who both share a love of flying and are brought together after an accident when Mia quite literally saves his life.

Living two completely different lifestyles, they try and deal with the obvious chemistry that forms between them, eventually finding a way to overcome the distance.

This is a such a beautiful read full of emotion, healing, love and heartache.

I also want to add that as someone who grew up on farms and stations; this really resonated with me. I truly appreciated the way Kate has managed to bring across the feelings that go with that lifestyle. She has captured that Aussie Outback perfectly.

I could not put this down and I cannot wait to see more from Kate Louise.

Being a brisvegas gal, it was funny to read about the local area, in a book, I could picture actual areas near me, made the characters all the more real.

This is a cute romantic book, a farm boy with small town vibes and a city girl who loves to fly, working out how to make it work... sweet story of longing and instant attraction.

Charlie and Mia seem to have a magnetic pull towards each other, but with hurdles in the way, is the pull to each other enough to make a future together

Thank you, Kate, for letting me arc read this book, it is incredible!
And thank you for sharing your heart and story with me. 🧡

⭐ 3 ½ Stars

Wing Woman is a swoon worthy book that is a feel-good romance that is set in the Queensland outback. This book was most certainly a feel-good read. It makes you want to go and make a coffee and sit outside to read, cuddling your farm animals. (Which I can recommend, I did. I think my chickens liked to book too!)

“She rescued me, brought me back to life”

The main characters Mia and Charlie are absolutely adorable, and their chemistry is too cute. They are meant to be together in every lifetime I am convinced. Mia and Charlie meet when Charlie crashes his helicopter in the outback of Queensland. Mia is a part of the AMR as a pilot and is in charge of getting him to safety, from here their romance blossoms. Their lives become intertwined and against adversity, they try to make their relationship work.

“I wanted to be somewhere with lights to guide me home. I didn't want to go home to darkness anymore"

This book is not what I usually read, and I was pleased and surprised. This book is really close to home for me as I live in Australia, as a city girl. Kate’s personal connection to the story makes it unique and more raw, a very lovely dedication and lots of meaning. This was my first time reading Kate's works and let me say she is marvellous!

First & foremost, thank you Kate for having me on your ARC team! Now for the juicy parts: this 👏🏼 book 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 unputdownable. I read this in 2 sittings, and I literally ate it up. The pull between Charlie & Mia was magnetic! Also, coming from a long line of aviators in my family, the aviation elements in this book felt like a cosy returning to my roots! And I have always been fascinated with farm life, so my two worlds collided here & the result? A stunning, cosy, binge-worthy romance that has my heart!! Well done, Kate! I loved every second x

I am officially sold. I was expecting this to be a good read, as Kate's books always are, but this one may just be my favourite! I enjoyed how fast the book seemed to go by, but honestly I enjoyed it so much that I could have easily read hundreds more pages—which I attribute to the author's writing style, which is so inviting in the sense of being somewhat conversational, in a way.
The start was a bit wordy with not a lot of hooking action, with a lot of internal dialogue and a slightly repetitive structure, but I couldn't really dwell on this much, as by the time the action kicked off, I felt like I knew the characters intimately. I immediately felt connected to them and was invested in their story from the get go. Another thing is that I usually do not vibe with insta-attraction (like, I've never liked it in another book before). I was almost trying to find a reason to hate it here, but I just couldn't! It worked so well for Mia and the story. Speaking of Mia, the relationship dynamic between her and her fathers was one of my favourite parts. Seeing a grown adult with such a close, healthy bond with their parents is so rare in books, and I absolutely loved every second of it. Thinking of my favourite things about the characters, I have also got to point out the humour. There was one line in particular that caught me so off-guard I took the biggest breath of my life as I fought my laughter.
The Australian setting was another element I really felt added depth to the story and in particular to the characters and their lives. It was perfectly portrayed by Kate, though again this is something I knew she was going to nail. I could just imagine all the views! Speaking of views, can we talk about the scene break images? They were absolute perfection and so pretty.
If I had to nitpick, some of the plot events near the ending felt a little out of the blue. I would have loved a bit more emphasis on the "why" behind certain character choices, but in a way, it worked. it made the story feel like a genuine snapshot of real life where things aren't always perfectly explained.
In all, if I haven't sold you on this book, uhmm, what else do I need to say? It is definitely worth picking up! I will genuinely be recommending this to so many people. I absolutely cannot wait to see what Kate produces next, as her books certainly have a way of taking a hold of my heart and attention.

ARC Reader Review:
I just wanted to start by saying a massive thank you to the author Kate Louise for letting me be a part of her ARC reading. I was so thrilled to take part in the process and give my review of her newest comfy feel-good romance book!

Rating: Three and a half stars

Wing Woman is a cozy romance that warms your heart and makes you believe that love will conquer all in the dealings of life. The book is set in Queensland and delves into the world of care flight workers and the jobs that are undertaken. You can really feel the emotions and heart that the author has written in her book, you see a different world in the eyes of the author, a world that people don’t really delve much into.

Mia is the main FMC that is a strong and independent woman that is completing her life aspirations in the flight pilot industry. She is loyal to her family and sees the best in people who show her kindness and respect, while on the other hand Charles or as known as Charlie is a sheep farmer (that has adorable pets that you just want to cuddle) that needs rescuing at his farm from our newly positioned Mia.

Their love blooms in the progression of the novel and makes you fall in love with the idea of finding yourself a hard-working farmer and curling up on the wrap-around veranda with a cup of coffee daydreaming and listening to the sights and sounds of farm life.

If you enjoy:

- Australian Romances
- Cute animals
- Rescuing missions
- Farmer/Pilot
- Friends to Lovers
- Then Wing Woman is the book for you!

Wing Woman is released next month on the 26th of October!

I love a beautiful cosy romance story and Kate has once again delivered the most gorgeous Australian centric one in, Wing Woman.

It was so lovely to fall back into Kate's words and the world she created for our main characters, Mia and Charlie.

The heat of the outback, the sheer size of a sheep farm thousands of km's from main civilisation and the inherent loneliness that comes from living in isolation is so clear on the page for our farmer Charlie. He's self sufficient, happy, but yearning for more - and when a helicopter accident and a chance encounter with the gorgeous pilot of the rescue team occurs - maybe he might start to think about his future in a little more detail.

Mia is driven, top of her field and unlucky in love. It's easier for her to remain single and focus on her new job as a pilot for AMR than to worry about trying to meet someone. But fate clearly has other plans when one of her first rescue jobs brings her into contact with the charming and positive Charlie (even if he's bleeding, broken and needing a hospital).

What follows is a story with chance encounters, getting to know each other, long distance longing and the big decision on if they should stay friends or reach for something more.

Kate has such a soft way of writing her characters falling in love, it's beautiful, real and honest.

If you adore:

- pilot/farmer
- slow burn
- strangers to friends to lovers
- long distance
- she helps save his life
- competent and confident FMC
- he falls first
- a dog that steals your heart

Then you need to add this to your list. I read this one prior to the official release date.

I absolutely loved this book from the characters to the references that Aussies will love to the animals. It was so well written if you love an aussie romance this is the book for you.

I fell in love with Charlie and Mia (in particularly Charlie🤭). The way they were written I felt like I genuinely knew them. The whole way through I felt like I was their cheerleader. I also can’t not mention Bob and Vivian who it’s impossible not to like.

I definitely was feeling the emotions along with the book. There were times I was laughing, getting teary eyed and of course feeling a little giddy. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Mia is a strong female pilot that has the opportunity to have her dream job. While she’s out working they attend a helicopter crash which involved a charming Charlie and he might have been a little banged up but that didn’t stop him from hitting on the nurse. Mia can’t forget about him so decides to visit him in hospital which leads to them building a connection. She lives in the city while he lives on a farm but they try to navigate the distance and their feelings at the same time.

Wing Woman / Kate Louise

I was late to apply for the arc of this book and the signups were closed by the time I saw, but I commented and Kate was super kind to allow me to apply and DM’d me! 🥹 THANK YOU for the arc ❤️‍🔥

This book comes out October 27th and I highly recommend adding it to your tbr! 😍

I loved the FMC being a pilot and everything she went through to get there. 🚁👩‍✈️
I loved the LGBT+ representation with her 2 dads and how she was adopted. 👬 I loved her inner dialogue around this and also the sweet connections and conversations with her dads.
I loved the Australian setting! 🇦🇺
I loved the reality of piloting being a male-dominated field, but the way this was spoke about in the book was very well done.
I loved following Charlie & Mia’s friendship/relationship, too. 🥰😌
Such a sweet, yet emotional read.
I read this slowly, around other reads, not because it wasn’t good, but because it was SO GOOD. I wanted to savour it 🥲🥺
This was an amazing story of found family, grief, exploration, acceptance, friendship, and love. 💝

If you are looking for a lighter and cozy book that makes you smile, laugh and feel with the charachters, this is it.

We have two wonderful charachters, Mia and Charlie, oh and ofcourse the most important one, Bob the dog. Can't do this review without mentioning Bob!
So, we follow both and their very different lives and how they navigate in their relationship from long distant friends to lovers.

We have some mild spice, lovely scenery, Bob, wonderful charachters, amazing friendships and beautiful lovestory. There is some bittersweet moments, laughter, love and happiness.

I wish we had more pages of their life together and what happend to all the lovely charachters after all this time, because I couldn't get enough of these charachters !

I truly loved this book!

This may be my faviourite book Kate has written, I couldn't put it down!

If you're looking for a cozy romance with a meet cute this is the book for you. I loved how their meet cute was not the most convential. What may be the best part it's set in Queensland and knowing the cities and landmarks.

Mia is such a girl boss who knows what she wants and doesn't stop till she achieved it. Her passion for her job and helping people was amazing to see. Charlie has the biggest golden retirever vibes ever. From the moment they meet you can see just how down bad he is for her. How can I not mention Bob the dog. He stole the show!!

Wing Woman comes out October 26th and if you're a fan of small town farm vibes with a mix of city living this one is for you.

Thank you Kate for the arc!

I honestly cannot fully put into words how much I have enjoyed and loved this book. When I first saw this author announce this book I knew it was one I was going to love. There’s something homey about the story that really grabbed my attention. The way the story was written and reminded me so much into just how important the AMR (flying doctors) is for regional areas. The story of friendship to lovers was done truly well. This story also felt nostalgic. As a girl that loved watching McLeod’s Daughters and the flying doctors, this was just the perfect combination of both!

This was a really sweet Aussie romance. I enjoyed the mix of city and small town locations. Mia's job added a lot of interest to the storyline. I also appreciated the individual journeys the main characters went through to get to where they did at the end of the story, it felt very well-rounded in that way. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters in this story (Bob too, of course)! All in all it was a bit sweet, a bit spicy and an all-around cosy read. Thank you to Kate Louise for having me on your ARC team and for a copy of the ebook.
