What do you get when a self-professed grump and a happy-go-lucky guy meet? Bedlam.
Maddison Coleman hates Christmas, but when she meets Parker Grayson, he makes it his mission to help her fall in love with his favourite holiday season again.
What could possibly go wrong?
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas is not intended for anyone under the age of 18
THE BOOKWORM WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS BY LUNA PETERS. A Grinch retelling. 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s. 🎄 That's it..... my Christmas tree is going up and Christmas has officially arrived. 🎅 Do you need to read this over Christmas? Well do bears shit in the woods? The answer is yes my friend. ♥ Parker and Madison ♥ Absolutely brilliant and gorgeous book and I highly recommend this book.
Peters delivers the ultimate small-town holiday comfort read in The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas - a cozy, heartwarming story about a self-proclaimed “Grinch” and the sunny mechanic determined to melt her icy heart.
After inheriting a quaint bookstore in Haven’s Dale from a grandmother she never knew, Maddie Coleman is determined to keep her distance from the town’s tinsel and cheer. Haunted by past trauma and a love for Halloween over holly, she’s sworn off Christmas entirely.
Enter Parker Grayson - the ever-optimistic, small-town mechanic and devoted single dad whose enthusiasm for the holidays could put Santa to shame. When he wanders into Maddie’s shop looking for the perfect book for his daughter, Amelia, he’s instantly drawn to the guarded new bookstore owner. And so begins his mission to “de-Grinch” her, one twinkle light at a time.
Peters once again proves her gift for crafting authentic, emotionally resonant characters. Maddie and Parker feel real - flawed, endearing, and utterly relatable. Their connection unfolds with warmth and sincerity, surrounded by a charming supporting cast that enhances the story rather than crowding it.
The pacing is brisk yet natural, every transition smooth and purposeful. For a novella, it carries remarkable emotional depth and world-building - proof of Peters’ storytelling finesse. The small-town ambiance sparkles, the holiday spirit radiates off the page, and yes - the spice level is perfectly balanced: cozy yet just the right amount of heat.
If you’re craving a feel-good, cinnamon-scented read that celebrates love, healing, and holiday magic, The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas absolutely deserves a spot on your festive TBR.
Thank you to Naughty Nook PR and Luna Peters for allowing me to Alpha/Beta/ARC The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas. As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been compensated, current or future, by the publisher, author, or PR group for a fair and honest review.
As a certified Grinch-lover girly, this read was exactly the kind of holiday read I was hoping for this December. A Grinch-style retelling? Say less.
This was a quick, cozy read that still managed to pack in plenty of charm. While I expected the classic grumpy/sunshine dynamic, Mr. Sunshine genuinely surprised me… especially with some of the things that came out of his mouth. We love a confident man, and honestly, sometimes it’s not even what you say, but how you say it… and he delivered.
As a mom, I especially loved the single dad aspect. It added an extra layer of depth and warmth to the story that really worked for me and made the emotional beats hit a little harder. Watching someone who actively resists Christmas slowly fall in love with it was such a satisfying journey.
Overall, this was a festive, feel-good romance that hit all the right notes for the season. Perfect if you enjoy grumpy characters, holiday magic, and a dash of unexpected heart.
This Christmas novella is too cute! she's the grumpy bookstore owner who hates anything to do with the holiday spirit, enter Parker and Amelia a father daughter duo who loves Christmas and makes it their mission to change her mind. This novella reminded me of she's all that and I absolutely adored that! Also Parker with his forehead kisses! UGH! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to receive an arc :)
This is a cute spin on a grumpy sunshine where she's the grump and he's the sunshine. This was Hallmark with a sprinkle of spice that made everything nice. It gives you what you're looking for as far as Christmas feels goes.
While I felt this book should have been longer to control the pace, I really liked the idea. It was a bit too cute for me, but it’s was a decent Christmas read.
I really enjoyed this holiday novella. Great storyline, which is a grumpy - sunshine holiday romance, it has a happy cozy small town with a feel good vibe. Good strong characters.
I loved this adorable Christmas love story! It was definitely a quick read and I loved how Parker first saw Maddie and it was love at first sight. She had been jaded all her life, but he came in, swooped her off her feet and brought joy and peace to her life! I’d definitely recommend reading this one to get you in the holiday spirit!
This novella is shorter than typical books, which makes the plot move quickly. There are some spicy scenes, but they don’t occur until over halfway through the book. Although there aren’t many, the ones that do, don’t disappoint.
I enjoyed this little novella. It was a cute, wholesome novella with a splash of spice. Seeing how Parker and Amelia tried to get Maddie into the spirit and liking Christmas made me remember why Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love seeing all the lights and decorating Christmas trees. Love sipping hot chocolate while being cozy with a book or movie. I recommend reading this if you want a quick read that will get you in the holiday spirit.
The main female character, Maddie, despises Christmas. Her favorite time of the year is October, specifically Halloween. Six months ago, she moved to this new town to inherit a bookshop from a grandmother she didn’t know she had. Maddie struggles with crowds and can be quite grumpy. Her rough childhood has made her withdrawn and dislike Christmas. She believed she would always hate the holiday. However, her life took a turn when Parker and his daughter, Amelia, entered her world. Both of them are passionate about Christmas and are determined to change Maddie’s mind. Amelia begins by taking her to see the Christmas lights, and by the end of the visit, something shifts within Maddie. Parker takes her to the Christmas market in the park. During this visit, Maddie discovers that Amelia is Parker’s daughter. Parker and Maddie share their first kiss under a mistletoe. Amelia and her grandmother attempt to persuade Parker to reveal the truth about how they came together, hoping to convince Maddie to love Christmas. However, Maddie learns about the challenge and feels betrayed. Parker explains the situation to Maddie, acknowledging that their initial intentions were to encourage her to embrace Christmas, but he didn’t anticipate falling in love with her at the same time. They work through their differences and ultimately find happiness together.
A few of my favorite quotes/sentences : Ducking her head, she walks out of the coffee shop and into the night while I’m left half in love with the bookworm who hates Christmas.
He gives me a shit eating grin in return. “I aim to please.” I’m sure you could definitely please me.
Maybe if I’m really good, Santa will put her under my tree this year?

From opening pages, this story grabbed me with its contrast: 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣, the jaded bookstore owner who’s sworn off Christmas cheer, and 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧, the warm-hearted mechanic and devoted dad to sweet little Amelia. That dynamic alone had me smiling. The trope-tastic blend is strong: grumpy(FMC) vs. sunshine(MMC) , single parent, small-town charm, holiday redemption. The novella packs in festive décor, bookstore vibes, the charm of Christmas lightings, and a father-daughter bond that softens even the coldest of hearts. What really worked for me was the emotional core. You feel Maddison’s resistance — her Christmas-wounds make sense — and Parker’s gentle patience and earnestness feel genuine rather than trope-flat. The age gap is present but handled respectfully; though if you’re sensitive to that trope you may want to keep note. The relationship builds at a satisfying pace for a novella (not too rushed, not stretched). The scenes with Amelia added heart and made the “redeem Christmas” arc sweeter, not gimmicky. What held it at 4 stars rather than 5? A few moments felt familiar—some of the plot beats follow holiday-romance formula closely (which is comforting if you like that, but less surprising). Also, given its novella length, I wanted just a little deeper reflection from Maddison about why she hated Christmas, rather than mostly the “I’ve been burned” shorthand. Still: for a quick, festive, yes-please read, this hits the spot. Highlights: * Strong autumn-to-winter seasonal shift scene (makes me want cocoa + fairy lights). * Parker’s dad-mode interactions feel real — bonus points for Amelia’s hardware-store mischief. * The bookstore setting + bookish references = booklover’s treat. Overall, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 is a feel-good seasonal gem: cosy, bookish, with a heart-warming single-dad romance and redemption for the holiday-averse. Perfect for a one-to-two-sitting read under a blanket with twinkling lights.
Grumpy bookshop owner meets cinnamon-roll single dad — and suddenly, Christmas doesn’t seem so bad after all.
Maddie Coleman hates Christmas. Full stop. She runs Maddie’s Den, a cozy little bookstore in Haven’s Dale where you’ll find everything except holiday cheer. Enter Parker, a 39-year-old mechanic, single dad, and certified sunshine man with green eyes, linebacker shoulders, and a heart made of pure warmth. When he stops by Maddie’s shop to find a Christmas book for his daughter, Amelia, he doesn’t just find a story — he finds her.
From that moment, Parker makes it his mission to melt the town Grinch. And honestly? He’s impossible to resist. He’s patient, funny, protective, and gives “dad crush energy” in the best way. Their banter sparkles — especially when his daughter teases, “Dad has a crush on a girl who hates Christmas,” and he fires back, “Amelia! What happened to father-daughter secrecy?” 😂
Maddie’s walls are high, her trauma deep, but Parker breaks through with kindness. Whether it’s hot chocolate at the Christmas market, letting her cry under the lights, or hiring Amelia at her shop, he shows her that love - and Christmas - don’t have to hurt.
Favorite quotes: ❤️🔥 “I want to hurt anyone who's made you feel like you can’t live a life full of happiness and joy. You, Maddie Coleman, deserve the world.” ❤️🔥 “Ah, Maddie Coleman, kid whisperer extraordinary.” ❤️🔥 “Want me to f**k you so hard you see stars?”
The secret he keeps from her? Not that dramatic. The love he gives her? Completely real.
If you love: ✨ Grumpy x Sunshine ✨ Single dad + small-town Christmas vibes ✨ Found family + healing arcs ✨ Cozy bookstores + cinnamon-roll MMCs ✨ A dash of steam with your hot cocoa
…then The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas will make your heart glow. It’s sweet, funny, spicy, and full of the kind of love that feels like coming home. ❤️
Sweet shorter read about Maddie, a self-proclaimed grumpy bookstore owner who can’t stand the Christmas season and the older town mechanic, Parker, who can’t get enough of the holidays. Maddie just wants the world to leave her alone & does not want to involve herself in anything Christmas or festive whatsoever, but she moves to a town obsessed with Christmas time, joy, celebrations, lights, etc. Despite the less-than-ideal reasons he’s ended up in the same town, Parker loves Christmas and the joy it brings, coming from a loving family that adores the spirit of the holiday and teaching his daughter, Amelia, to follow in their footsteps. When they meet by happenstance one December, Parker makes it his mission to get the grumpy bookworm into the holiday spirit, but what he doesn’t anticipate is how his efforts will affect him and his daughter in the process. Maddie slowly begins to open to Parker and Amelia as they spend more time together, but everything is placed in jeopardy when Maddie learns of Parker’s original plan to win her over for the cheerful season. Sweet read as two individuals, both carrying scars and burdens, meet each other to develop a unique connection and discover the true meaning of the Christmas spirit, flaws and all.
Favorite quotes: “I want to hurt anyone who’s made you feel like you can’t live a life full of happiness and joy…you deserve the world.” “Sometimes words are needed, but a hug can mean the world.” “You’re a good person, Maddie. Just don’t forget there are other genuinely good people in this world who care and want to help.” “I was never supposed to fall in love with the town grump and have my world completely changed.”
A grumpy heroine, a cinnamon roll single dad, and a bookstore at Christmas? Yes, please!
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas is the kind of novella that wraps you in a cozy blanket and hands you a mug of hot cocoa while whispering, “let’s believe in love again.”
Maddison Coleman is the perfect grump, she’s sarcastic, guarded, and totally over the holiday cheer. But watching her slowly melt under the charm of Parker Grayson (and his adorable daughter Amelia) was pure joy. Their chemistry is slow-burn and sweet, with just enough tension to keep flipping pages.
As a book lover, I adored the setting, who doesn’t love a quaint bookstore. The small-town vibes were strong, and the supporting characters added warmth without stealing the spotlight. There’s so much emotional depth too. Maddison’s backstory hit me harder than I expected, and her journey toward healing felt earned. Parker’s patience and kindness made him a standout love interest, he’s the kind of guy you root for from page one. I also loved Maddie’s bond with Amelia too! That was an incredibly sweet touch.
Favorite moment? The forehead kiss under the mistletoe. I squealed. No regrets. 🎄❤️
If you love:
• Grumpy/sunshine & age gap tropes • Small-town holiday romances • Single dads with big hearts • Bookstores and Christmas shenanigans
Then this Christmas novella is for you! It’ll most definitely get you in the holiday spirit!
A huge thank you to Luna Peters and Naughty Nook PR for the early copy!
This is my first ARC review so I hope I do it justice. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this journey!
I love that Maddie is a bookshop owner and that the female is the grump in the story. I think I would be just fine as a small town bookshop owner. And I’d even fit in as the town grump. She was definitely relatable to me. Especially with the not liking crowds, and ignoring customers but then being there when they needed her. All of it - so me!
I enjoy the fact that Parker, and his family, are so into Christmas that he probably sparkles from tinsel. I will say that even though I do like a guy that can show emotion, he does seem to love, love.
Amelia stole my heart because she reminded me of myself at her age: completely obsessed with books and wanting her single parent to find true love.
The setting was straight out of my Christmas dreams. The snow, the tree, the lights, the ice rink, the hot chocolate: perfect!
There was a mishap that I didn’t quite understand why it was a mishap but it quickly resolved and the story moved on. There were a couple of spicy comments thrown around and definitely a spicy scene or two that had me blushing. The only thing that really threw me off, and this is just a personal preference, is the overuse of ‘sweetheart’.
If you are in the mood for a small town, Christmas-themed quick read, then pick this up. It just might be for you!
No 1. How can anyone hate Christmas? I nearly cried when I read how Maddie felt about Christmas and I completely understand why she would feel that way but it still seems criminal to me.
No 2. Where can I find a Parker? Because damn woman, you’ve sold him to me. I’m sat here drooling at the thought of him. Single sexy dad that is obsessed over Christmas? Hell yes!
I think I grinned all the way through this book, I loved it. Maddie understandably had been through such a rough time that I can imagine how hard it must have been for her so her grumpy exterior makes perfect sense and I actually think it suits her so well as once she loosens up a bit she’s actually really witty and sarcastic but in the best way.
Parker has a heart of gold and you just know he’s going to bring light back into Maddies life along with his daughter Amelia. It’s so cute seeing the connection grow between Maddie and Amelia and how similar they both are with their love of reading.
Hands down another 5 star rating because really any Christmas themed books normally are for me and Luna Peters writes the most amazing books so this combination just brightened my very dull day (and yes I did binge read it in less than 24 hours).
♥️ Grinch Retelling ♥️ Cinnamon Roll MMC ♥️ Small Town Romance ♥️ Single Dad ♥️ Age Gap (28/39) ♥️ He Falls First ♥️ Reverse Grumpy Sunshine
WARNING: CONTAINS SMALL SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Ugh. I have to be honest, as much as it pains me, but this book gave me the biggest ick. In my opinion, the story has so much potential to be longer!! I want to hear the back story, the sob story per se, of Maddie and hear what brutal past she’s had. Same goes for Parker! He had a bad relationship in the past and as the reader, I was begging for more of that. In my opinion, it helps me form my connection to the characters. I loved the idea and the storyline, but I did not get attached or care about the characters, other than Amelia, because she’s cute.
I do have a couple comments about the writing as well. It seemed very rushed in parts and I wanted it to slow down. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed the premise! I just felt it was moving very fast, especially at the beginning when Parker and Maddie first met. We go from wholesome sounding writing to a vulgar comment about him being turned on. Don’t get me wrong. There’s a time and place for those, but the segues to the smut needed to be a bit more gradual and not as soon in the book, in my opinion. I know he falls fast, but this seemed unrealistically fast.
The last thing writing wise I’d like to note, but this is completely my opinion, I very much hate that Maddie is a self-proclaimed grump. It felt like the reverse sunshine x grump trope was being shoved down my throat. I do enjoy that trope, but I rather her SHOW it to me, rather than TELL it to me.

I absolutely loved it this one! Maddie has been through such a rough time, so her grumpiness makes so much sense, and honestly, it does suit her. Once she starts to loosen up, she really suprised me with her humor and spunk. Parker, on the other hand, is pure sunshine — a single dad with a heart of gold who’s determined to bring light (and Christmas cheer) back into Maddie’s life. Watching her bond with his daughter, Amelia, was the sweetest thing, especially with their shared love of reading.
This story is a modern twist on The Grinch — only this time, the Grinch is a woman, and I loved that take! It’s short but never rushed; everything moves at a great pace while keeping the heart of the story. Parker’s family brings so much warmth and chaos (in the best way), and the chemistry between him and Maddie? Absolutely sizzling. 🔥
It’s cute, it’s funny, it’s got spice, heart, and just the right amount of holiday magic. This is my first read by Luna Peters, and it definitely won't be my last!!
If you love small-town charm, grumpy/sunshine vibes, and festive feels, this is a must-read. 10/10 recommend! 🎄💚
Thanks so much to Luna Peters and NaughtyNook PR for the copy of this book for review!
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas is a very cute and cozy Christmas read. I love the chemistry that Parker and Maddie have together. I love a good grumpy fmc and sunshine mmc trope and this story delivered on that. I also loved the small town setting within the story and seeing a community being there for others in a time of need.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Maddie's walls start to come down and it was so heartwarming to see Maddie's relationship with Amelia, Parker's daughter, develop. I honestly think I loved Maddie and Amelia's relationship a bit more, not anything against Parker, but seeing Amelia warm Maddie's heart and Maddie accepting Amelia into her life was amazing.
My only gripe was the conflict that occurred didn't make much sense to me as Parker didn't make it a secret what his original intent was. I wasn't sure why some characters were upset with Parker and made it out to be that he was lying to Maddie when personally, I don't think that was the case. Be that as it may, the conflict was resolved fairly quickly.
Overall, this was a very great small town, Christmas story and it made my heart warm. The relationships developed throughout the story was shown very clearly and I was able to feel the love from each character.
If Hallmark movies and The Grinch had a spicy, bookish baby… this holiday romance would be it. 🎄📚💚
Maddison Coleman is basically the human equivalent of “I hate Christmas! It’s practically my job.” A grumpy bookstore owner who’d prefer quiet shelves over carols any day, she wants nothing to do with holiday cheer.
Enter Parker Grayson—a sunshine mechanic with a cinnamon-roll heart and a very dirty mouth—and his adorable daughter, Amelia. Together, they’re determined to make Maddison’s heart grow three sizes… “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
What follows is: 🎄 holiday chaos 💋 forehead kisses galore 🔥 spice from a very not-PG cinnamon-roll MMC 💚 grumpy x sunshine perfection 📖 small-town charm with big emotion
And honestly? Watching Maddison resist Christmas is like hearing the Grinch yell: “Help me…I’m FEELING!”
This book is warm, steamy, sweet, and just the right amount of unhinged. A perfect December read for anyone who loves holiday magic, found family vibes, and Grinch-inspired grumpiness melting into love.
A cozy, spicy delight that will have your heart glowing like Whoville on Christmas morning. 💚🎄✨
Parker is our MMC single dad who absolutely loves, obsessed with Christmas 🎄 When Parker stops by Maddie’s shop to find a Christmas book for his daughter, Amelia… he runs into Maddie. And Parker is determined to melt this Grinch’s heart. He’s patient and protective and understanding and super funny! Adding him to my bf list! Their banter was irresistible, loved when Amelia would tease her dad about having a crush on Maddie. They grow closer to each other, Maddie even getting Amelia to work at the bookstore. Maddie our FMC is a grumpy bookstore owner and she can not stand Christmas. Maddie's walls are high, her trauma deep, but Parker breaks through with kindness. They grow closer and Parker shows that love, and Christmas is a wonderful beautiful blessing if spent with the right people. I enjoyed seeing the build up between these two and seeing the relationship between Maddie and Amelia. This was such a cute short Christmas read 💯 recommend
This was a perfect book to read when holiday season hits, puts me in such a good mood. This is short novella but everything moved along at a reasonable pace without loosing plot or characters.
Maddie was such a fun twist on the usual Grinch, I have never seen a Grinch be a female before but really enjoyed her character and growth. She has gone through a lot and understandably hates everything Christmas. Parker is a single dad who looks forward to the season every single time so when he meets Maddie, he immediately makes it his mission to change her mind. These two are hilarious, Parker starts off with some questionable motives at the start but sparks fly and they hit it off.
This is a great Christmas read, the plot and characters make the story. I would love to see more of these two, I also love the small town feel of this without it feeling too Hallmark-y. A twist on the classic Grinch with lots of humor, spice and heart. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.
This book was so difficult for me to read. I would have DNF it, but I didn’t because I was reading it for a book club. I complained about it from the very beginning and I am so so glad that it was less than 150 pages because I don’t think I could have made it through anything longer.
First of all, there is absolutely no lead up to anything at all. It’s all “oh here is this girl, I want to make her love Christmas, I’m in love with her”… with pretty much zero explanation of how we get from point A to point B.
Then, there is the fact that there is no conflict and the conflict that she writes feels extremely forced. “I wanted to spend time with you because I was attracted to you and I decided to try to make you fall in love with Christmas because it’s Christmas time and I love Christmas and by the way, I’m telling you all this” and then she “gets hurt” because he was trying to make her fall in love with Christmas??? Umm okay..
And for it to be advertised as an “over 18” and “age gap” story… there was hardly any spice at all and very small amounts of focus on the age gap..

This is my first Christmas ARC & what a way to start it off with Luna Peters!
First of let me say, Maddie HATES christmas, im like girl! I understand the music but come on all the lights? Its magical! Enter Parker, he absolutely LOVES christmas, opposite to Maddie but as they say, opposites attract right?
Parker goes to the bookshop Maddie owns to look for a book for his daughter, he meets Maddie and instantly they find eachother attractive and hit it off beautifully. Can Maddie get over her notion to swear off men?
Paker & his daughter Amelia have the most amazing relationship! They are making it their mission to get Maddie to fall in love with christmas (operation; de-grump the bookworm!)
Amelia & Maddies friendship is beautiful, they bond over their love for books, she even thinks about stocking christmas books in her store!
Parker & Maddies blossoming relationship is such a mesmerising thing to read, i love everything about them! I could go on & on about this book!
Please add this to your christmas TBR! You wont regret it! Anything Luna does is 5🌟 for me!
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas is the perfect mash-up of Hallmark charm and Grinch-level grumpiness—with just enough steam to fog up your winter windows.
Maddison Coleman is the kind of heroine you root for instantly: prickly, bookish, and determined to avoid holiday cheer at all costs. Enter Parker Grayson, the cinnamon-roll mechanic with a filthy mouth, and his daughter Amelia, the world’s cutest pint-size Christmas ambassador. Together, they bulldoze Maddison’s walls with warmth, laughter, and the kind of tenderness that sneaks up on you.
This story delivers everything a holiday romance should—found family, forgiveness, cozy small-town vibes, and the sweetest (and occasionally spiciest) moments that make your heart swell three sizes. Parker and Maddison’s chemistry is electric, their banter addictive, and the emotional payoff is pure magic.
If you want a Christmas romance that’s equal parts comforting, chaotic, and irresistibly swoony, this one absolutely belongs at the top of your holiday TBR.
If you’re looking for a smutty Christmas read then look no further!! This book has you all up in your feels!! I really loved Maddie and Parker, it was such a joy to read. Their chemistry was perfect and seeing Maddie letting Parker in and loving Amelia was adorable. Christmas is a hard time of the year for a lot of people but it’s so true when you’re around the right people you see it from a different side and can grow to love it too.

I’m a sucker for a single dad and an age-gap trope and this was a great Christmas novella i thoroughly enjoyed it!! Being a British girl myself I love reading books from British authors and I immediately need to read Luna’s other books now.
Thank you, Luna, for letting me ARC read ‘The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas’ it was a pleasure to read and an honour too! I received an advance copy of this book, and this review reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas by Luna Peters is a Grinch Retelling novella following Madison Coleman and Parker Grayson. 🚩This is for readers 18 years and/or older as it has mature content and not suitable for underage readers 🚩
My thoughts 💭 So I am not one to read holiday books, I love Christmas so much that I can’t risk anything ruining it in anyway but I love Luna Peters and could not miss one of her books so I took a chance. Let me just say I LOVE THIS BOOK!! It’s so cute, their chemistry is sizzling 🥵 he’s an overwhelming cinnamon roll and she’s definitely the female version of the grinch but they make it work. The side characters definitely complete the story and the spice is spicing 🔥 if you love holiday romances and quick reads, I 100% recommend this one. 10/10!!
✨I would like to thank the author, Luna Peters and Naughty Nook Pr for the opportunity to read and review The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas.
The Bookworm Who Stole Christmas is a great novella to get you in the Christmas spirit.
Maddison has such a hatred for Christmas. I loved how she held onto her convictions, even when Parker gives her the puppy dog eyes. Parker is on a mission to make Maddison fall in love with Christmas and embrace the holiday season. Along the way, he falls madly in love with her. How can a notorious Christmas grump and someone who loves it with their whole heart, find their happily ever after? You see how a town coming together to help those in need, and the bonds of friendship can make anyone have a change of heart and embrace the goodness in others.
This was an extremely sweet and loving story. I loved all the interactions between Parker and Maddison. While Parker does make a couple mistakes along the way, he put his whole heart into everything he did and can easily be forgiven. This was a very heartwarming story.
This book was absolutely adorable. Definitely giving Grinch vibes. Maddie hasn't had any good Christmas memories and even refuses to stock any Christmas themed books in her store.
When Parker wonders in looking for a Christmas book for his teenage daughter he is delighted by the grumpy owner. He doesn't understand how anyone could hate Christmas. So with the help of his daughter and Mother "operation de-grump the bookworm" begins.
This was such delightful and sweet read. I do not normally read the meet cute romance stories like this but the title made me giggle so I knew I needed it. I am so glad I took a chance.
"This man is turning me into a crazy person. And I think I like it."
This grumpy sunshine pairing came together beautifully. You could feel when and where here walls started to break. The ending was perfect for the heart grew metaphor from the Grinch.
