Donald Hempshaw has a fetish, his own little secret. Until one day his wife discovers his secret and kicks him out of the house. In his new apartment, though, he can now carry out his fantasies to his heart's content--except when his son comes over, of course. But then, one morning, he wakes up with a hangover and finds himself in a very awkward and dirty situation. Yet rather than be disgusted by his actions, he quickly discovers he has yet another fetish. One that will lead him down a rabbit hole in a search for more like-minded folks. But this time, absolutely no one must know about it or he could find himself in a very embarrassing position. Unfortunately for Donald, he may not be as careful as he likes to think... Based on a true story.
J. Boote is the alter-ego of Justin Boote, author of horror and dark fiction. J. Boote writes primarily extreme horror, not for the faint-hearted or easily offended.
This is part two of the Fluid series, and honestly, I loved this one the most. The story follows Donald, a man with a fetish for scat and women’s underwear. Now, hear me out—the brilliance of this book is that while it’s grotesque (yes, absolutely disgusting), there’s also this weird innocence to it... until there isn’t. It’s just a man enjoying his kink in peace… until he isn’t. And that sharp left turn was wild.
What really works here is the balance: it’s transgressive and filthy, yet it never loses sight of the humanity buried inside the depravity. You think you’re safe laughing at the absurdity, but then it twists into something darker and more unsettling, and suddenly you’re wincing, fascinated, and maybe questioning yourself a little.
I’ve always believed that if people have their kinks, and they’re consensual between two adults, with no one getting hurt—then so be it. And that’s the underlying lesson in this book. Who am I to judge?
People can be cruel and everyone reacts differently when they feel they're being pushed into a corner.
Lucky to have beta read this one, and I can confidently say this is a worthy follow-up from Fluid Freaks.
This time, we explore a different fetish, and the title, Soiled, says it all. This one is vile and disgusting, and I don't think those words cover it enough; that's how nasty this little piece is.
Donald is the epitome of a selfish person who's only interested in his own messed-up interests, making him slightly delusional, as he tumbles down a rabbit hole he's eager to dive into.
This is not for the faint of heart, the squeamish, or those who get nauseated easily. Did I already say this one is just vile?
Let’s meet Donald, the man who probably rocks lace underwear better than me, but always kept it a secret… …until he got caught by his wife, who wasn’t thrilled about sharing her undies drawer and she kicked him out! Now living alone, Donald discovers that red lipstick and stockings aren’t the only things that make him happy. The brown dough his body produces excites him and he can’t wait to share it with someone else. The question is: how long can he keep this new secret to himself?
If you’ve read Fluid Freaks, you know what to expect. Moments that are as funny as they are vile. This one will test not just your stomach, but your heart too. I was so looking forward to this read, and it did not disappoint. Now I can’t wait to find out what the next weird kink will be!
“ Some people are just…into different things. Nothing wrong with it at all .”
Meet Donald just your every day typical husband and father until one day, his wife discovers a secret fetish that he’s been hiding. It leads to their eminent demise. Once Donald has readjusted to his new found single life….He suddenly discovers he has even more disturbing fetishes. As he finds himself seeking out others that are like-minded he’s struggling for ways to keep anyone else from finding out about his secrets.
This being book 2 in the fetish series….Justin has once again managed to write a story that requires you to not only bring your barf bag but a diaper as well as a Kleenex for some tears. Thanks so much for the early read!
I can't decide if this one made me gag more or less than Fluid Freaks. It may be even. I think I was more invested in the characters in this one as the relationship between father and son was a nice touch, until it wasn't 👀 As always, read the summary by the author. It's fascinating and disturbing how closely portrayed the real offenders and their crimes are.
Absolutely NOT. If you thought Fluid Freaks was difficult to get through, then just you wait til you open this little atrocity. I have no idea what makes me want to read this shit but I always power on through. If the title or cover didn't shed a hint then consider yourself warned before diving in that it's best not to eat before or during this story.
Soiled follows Donald. One day, his wife discovers his secret and they get divorced. When Donald moves into his new apartment he finally feels free to be himself but his fetish gets twisted into something absolutely repulsive. Wanna know something even more disgusting? Read the author notes. Don't forget to read after finishing the story to find out more about that.
Good luck if you decide to go through with reading this one because it's as foul as they come.
In this story we follow a man who has a fetish for wearing women’s clothes around and specifically underwear. When his wife finds out she divorces him and then he moves out. When his son starts coming around more and confiding in his father he ends up getting really close to him. One night while his son is staying over he discovers on his dad’s laptops photos that he just can’t unsee.
This was such a sick and twisted story. Which is actually based on a real story and a real guy and his kinks. This was really fast paced good pacing for a short read and definitely a good gross out.
A fetish. A secret. A line crossed. When Donald wakes up in a mess of his own making, he finds pleasure in the unthinkable. What follows is a descent into obsession and filth—one he can’t escape. It’s grimy, uncomfortable, and disturbingly human.
If you're into extreme horror or stories that explore the shadowy corners of the human psyche, Soiled will definitely leave a mark. 📖 Based on a true story? That ending will haunt you.
Donald has a secret. A kinky little secret that soon his wife finds out about. Once she confronts him, they divorce and Donald finds a place of his own. Once alone and able to live his fetish more openly, he discovers another new fetish he didn't know he enjoyed. Poop. Scat. The brown stuff. Donald searches online for people like him and instantly finds a community. Even a scatty girlfriend.
But secrets can only be secrets for so long until someone discovers them. Donald can't have his dirty secrets out in the world. He can't be ruined. How far would you go to keep your dirty little secret hidden?
Boote does gross out so well. This was repulsive, yet intriguing. The ending was not what I expected and knowing it's based on a true story makes it more intense. I love seeing my favourite place, Northgate Hospital, mentioned in another Boote book! If you know, you know! This was also pretty funny. I really enjoyed it!
This book had me gagging, dry-heaving, and questioning every single life choice that led me to pick it up 🤢. Donald’s fetishes spiral into filth so vile I wanted to bleach my eyeballs… and yet, I couldn’t stop reading.
The line between horror and pure repulsion has never felt thinner—this isn’t just gross-out fiction, it’s a full-blown assault on the senses. If you can survive Soiled, you can survive anything.
"Soiled," the second book in Boote's "Fetish Freaks" series, is even filthier than the first: spectacularly vile and revolting, the story's about the sexual fetish of consuming, loving, enjoying, and playing with feces. Your own, someone else's, it matters not. I hear a big "NOPE" coming, but hear me out: the tale is based on facts, and however weird it gets, it's actually about a father's relationship to his teenage son. Although no deep insights are to be expected, the story does keep one's interest till the end. As long as you can stomach detailed scenes of you-know-what (not literally), you'll find a story worthy of your time, certainly NSFW, and you'll never look at soiled nappies or piles of excrement the same way again!
So when Justin sent me the actual photo that was the inspiration for this cover he was working on a while back, I knew instantly this was going to be sick and make me 🤢 but I do love his work so I obviously had to give it a go right 🤷🏼♀️
Donald comes across just like your average man, he has a family, a nice house & a happy little life but he also has a secret little hobby that no one can know about. He’s worked so hard on hiding it, especially from his wife, he’s not embarrassed about it, he just doesn’t want to share it!
Unfortunately Lucy finds evidence of his hobby & it’s something she cannot get behind, divorce papers are sent within a week & Donald is out on his own….its not the end of the world though, now he can be free in his own space, take all the time he needs with himself.
And this is where he discovers a new kink to his hobby, one that’s fully heightened the thrill & he simply just can’t get enough of it 🤢💩
Honestly I actually loved this! I just love how Justin’s writing isn’t just the gross factors, it’s the story behind it all & the cohesive way it all comes together. The ending was quite sad too, especially with knowing it was based on a true story. Part of the real ending to the story is included as an afterword too, which makes you think a lot harder about what you’ve just read!
💩 & bodily fluids is a trigger for me, yet I can still read Justin’s books no problem. Does this mean my triggers are healed? 🤣
Obvs a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read! Check your triggers, and get your pre-orders in! I’ve already ordered mine 👏🏼 thanks again for the ARC 🤎
The most wonderfully disturbing and disgusting sequel in the Fetish Freaks series! 10/10 no notes!
Soiled follows a recently separated father as he tries to balance fatherhood to his struggling son, and his new erotic past time, human shit.
Maybe I'm deeply disturbed, but I devoured this story, ate it up like our cross dressing dad did with some questionable brown substance. It was horrifically descriptive for all the worst and stomach turning moments, just how a good splatterpunk novel should be.
Again, absolutely no flaws for Boote's work as he yet again leaves readers with their jaw on the floor at the end of this story. There were so many little connections to the first story and the Fetish Freak universe that have left me itching for me! I cannot wait for the next installment of these little sexually perverse individuals that Boote has hidden up his sleeve!!
Donald is a normal guy, he works hard, and loves his son, Shaun. However, one day, his wife finds out about a secret he has been keeping, and things don't work out. But, his love for Shaun never waivers. Given his newfound freedom, by accident one night, Donald discovers that he has stumbled upon a new kink that will soon be overwhelming. Shaun, an outcast in his school is tormented by bullies, constantly, but knows that the man he holds in the highest regard, his dad, would always have his back. But, who will have Donald's back, if one, or both of his secret desires were to come to light? And, how far would Donald go in order to keep them a secret? The twist at the end was wild! This is my first read from Justin Boote, and, I wasn't as disgusted as I originally thought I might be. If anything, I was hooked, engaged, and fascinated at the whole concept of the story. Yes, it does have some really nasty mental imagery, but, it was, also, very well written, and held my attention like no other! If you can stomach it, I highly recommend this book, as it is just purely vile, and disgusting. It being based on true events makes it all the more visceral. This was well worth the read, and funny feeling in my stomach! 5💩/5💩
Soiled by J. Boote 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Another stellar short story by J. Boote! Donald has a secret fetish that he hides from his wife. However, she finds out about it and ends up kicking him out of the house and they file for divorce. Once on his own, Donald can be free to indulge himself with this fetish and quickly discovers he has a new fetish which is even better than the original one. Donald wants to make sure and keep this fetish a secret from his son, as he doesn’t think this could easily be explained. He knows that he has to be careful.
The story is very well written, pretty gross and very entertaining! It doesn’t hold back on the extreme! There’s even emotions tied in to this story!
This is Book 2 in The Fetish Freak series. Book 1 is Fluid Freaks, which is another gross 5🌟 read!
Thank you J. Boote for an arc of this excellent slice of goodness to read! *For extreme lovers, this novella comes out August 29th*
This was different and very disgusting, however it was still a good story. If you gag or/and are offended easily this book is not for you. You have been warned. I was a little shocked by the ending. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily choose to reveiw, however I did pre-order it too.
Donald has hidden a secret from his wife for quite some time. Newly separated he has the time and space to explore, and even he is surprised about what really floats his boat.
Prepare to be horrified and disgusted in equal measure. And then read the real case at the end and be totally bewildered!
First and foremost, thank you so much Justin for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book! As always, it’s a pleasure doing business! 🫡🫡
This book.. DISGUSTING. The first book I’ve ever had to read in breaks. I think the “kink” in this one has given me a new trigger. Someone who is TRIGGERLESS! (Besides things related to infants since becoming a mom. I can still read it, but I kinda just skim those gruesome parts 😅)
But as always, Justin does not hold back or disappoint in this one! In this one, a nice little happy family is broken apart as Marc’s wife discovered his cross dressing fetish. In this one, we get 2 POV’s. Marc’s and his sons, Shaun’s.
After the family split, Marc moves out into his own place. And one day discovers a whole new fetish. One that is completely abhorrent! Marc is one who is very concerned about keeping his “hobbies” private, secret and away from the world. Besides his wife finding out he enjoys cross dressing, he’s done a relatively good job since he was a kid.
But that all comes crashing down when his secret hobby is discovered. Discovered by none other than his own son! The worst person to find out about a hobby like that. It’s embarassing enough for your kids to discover anything regarding your sex life.. but to discover you’re into that?! Yea, no. It’s the end for me lol
After the discovery, there’s some threats made in anger and Marc does not like that. No no. No one will ever discover Marc’s little secret. If he can help it.
But, I’ll shut up and let you read it for yourself! But.. be warned! Don’t eat while reading it! You’ll regret it!
All in all, I think Justin does a great job at writing these stories. And he’s graphic, which I love! He wrote this book from a true story (he gives you the run down of the true story at the end, which I love) and that just makes this shit even worse!! It’s just crazy!
"But as he took it all in, seeing his body in the sexy underwear still and tasting his own shit on his lips, he did something unexpected. He ejaculated."
Nope. That’s all. That’s my review. Kidding, lol. But wow, this book almost took me out within the first ten pages. I don’t have triggers, but umm… my gag reflex isn’t great and there’s a lot of bodily fluids… well, poop. There’s a lot of poop in this one… and I’m still attempting to swallow what I read.
I love Boote’s writing, especially his gross-out stuff. He has a really crafty way of writing stories. You want to puke, but at the same time, you can’t stop reading to find out what happens next. This is the second book in The Fetish Freaks series (the first one is Fluid Freak), but you can totally read each as a standalone.
As foul as this story was, the characters were quite interesting. I had to know more about them. The father/son dynamic was written really well despite some of the stuff going on. You could feel the emotions of the characters through the pages.
I’m certainly not one to kink shame, but dang. I honestly didn’t know much about this specific one (Scat, aka consumption of feces, alongside some other stuff), and quite honestly… I think I learned enough for a lifetime. There’s also a spot where everything takes a crazy turn — yesss, a good ole plot twist per se. So that’s always a 10/10 for me as well.
This book will not be for everyone. Check your triggers. And if your gag reflex isn’t good, get ready. That being said, I totally recommend the hell out of it! I cannot wait to see what comes next in this series!
This book was just released yesterday and is also available on KU! You can find the link to grab it below!
This would be my first time ever reading a J. Boote novel. WOW!! 🤯 I didn’t exactly go in blind. I knew that a J. Boote creation was said to be one of extreme nature. I was prepared to blush, cringe, grit my teeth, and even at the author’s own warning gag my way through his latest work, but oh my goodness, was I? Was I really?
I’m sure it wasn’t long before I was crying out loud, “What the heck am I reading?!” After a couple of these repeated maledictions my husband’s curiosity got the best of him and a round of twenty questions proceeded between us concerning what I was reading. To my amusement he went on to educate me concerning the books subject material. Fetishes. Anything can be found on the Internet!
Which is also covered in this story. This is a story about one man’s self discovery. His secret search to find his hidden sexuality. Why the things he finds that give him the deepest most satisfying pleasure he knows aren’t exactly right. He doesn’t feel wrong, guilty, or even dirty, but he knows that others would see it that way and fears that his life would be in ruins if his secret hobbies were revealed. Yet it is his deepest desire to share his sexuality with someone who feels the same as he does. His story is one of lust, longing, pleasure, and guilt for having lost his family to his carnal desires. His story is madness unleashed.
Whew. I know Justin is trying to push us to the limit and back with this series, The Fetish Freaks! Soiled is book two, and it is truly gag-worthy. Why in the world did I RUN to read this book?! Please, for the love of all things warm and fuzzy, if you have a problem with poo - don’t read this book.
In this vile, disgusting book, we meet Donald. Donald has a few fetishes, who doesn’t?! When his wife finds out that he likes lacey underwear and stockings and is done with him, Donald is free to explore new and exciting discoveries - poo. Yup! Poo. I dunno, man. I am not about to yuck someone's yum, but this one is a no-go for me. LOL!
What do you do when you find that you get off to something particularly gross? You find your people! Yup! Let's find you a tribe of others that share the same desire as you do. Good for Donald!
As much as this book made me gag, I think Fluid Freaks, book 1, actually made me stop reading several times. Don’t get me wrong, this one is hellah gross. Justin, I can’t see what is in store for us next! Keep them coming!
Thanks to J. Boote for gifting me an eARC of Soiled. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a way to be introduced to an author this was disgustingly wonderful did it make me feel queasy? It certainly did because the subject matter was just something I didn’t even realise was a trigger for me until I was in it with no way out but forward What Justin does here is hook you in with some light kink that in this day and age I have to say I felt bad for Donald but then it went down a rabbit hole I wasn’t prepared for. The secondary story also within the book about Donald’s son Shaun was a welcomed relief to the descriptive fetish and I found that the father son relationship was a very real dynamic Now as always I don’t give away spoilers but the ending and subsequent epilogue are really where the Author shines when a book can make me mouth WTF it wins for me
I received an ARC of this book but trust me my thoughts and feelings are my own I can’t wait to read more of Justin’s work
Donald, a devoted husband and father, harbored a secret he could no longer contain—a lifelong fetish for wearing women’s lingerie. What began as a private thrill soon became the breaking point of his marriage when his wife uncovered the truth. Her reaction was anything but forgiving, and divorce soon followed.
What might have been the end was only the beginning. Free from the boundaries of his old life, Donald’s fetish evolved into something far more consuming. He discovered sides of himself he had never dared to confront, pushing deeper into a world of desire, identity, and taboo.
Drawn from true events, this unsettling yet fascinating tale forces readers to question where acceptance ends and judgment begins.
