A Corpse In Time combines low fantasy, action/adventure, elements of history, and time travel to examine the importance of maintaining the natural order while ensuring that justice and fairness win out.
Lucien, a bookseller, gets drafted into an unusual quest. A mysterious stranger enlists him to find a missing woman, only she’s vanished in the 14th century. He has to navigate the past by travelling between this time and that to find her, but a crazed baron and other medieval perils threaten to get in the way.
He’s a lateral thinker and comes up with a way to slightly interfere with history to make sure Abigail (the missing woman) is safe from the baron (and the Black Death) with help from his two a hooded figure named Hart and an iguana named Wyrm.
There are fascinating characters and scenes along the way that will keep the reader invested. A Corpse In Time offers a riveting journey back to a world not so different from our own.
You don't need to be an avid fan of fantasy or history to enjoy this book, it's a timeless story packed with adventure.
