Smart, spicy, and straight to the point.
MAX delivers exactly what it promises—a quick, steamy romance packed with tension, charm, and tropey goodness. The "grumpy genius x sunshine brainiac" dynamic works really well here, and the STEM setting adds a unique touch that makes it stand out in the short romance space.
The banter is fun, the chemistry is instant, and the spice? Absolutely delivers. It’s a fast-paced read that doesn’t feel rushed, which is a tough balance to strike in flash fiction. I especially loved the way the characters’ personalities played off each other—sharp wit meets smoldering drawl.

A start
I like that Maya and Max have a known history together. This feels like a quick romp and so much is left out. I like a quick read, but this fell short.
