All that glitters…may explode
Sharon Kay (Shar K'), a Costa Rican honors student, is selected to participate in a research cooperative between the University of Costa Rica and The Ohio State University. She arrives in Ohio to discover it is a secret project, and the Ohio facility is hidden beneath the Logan County landfill.
A Costan Rican botanist has developed a “petrol tree” whose sap is rich in fuel. Unfortunately, an Asian world power is stealing the research data to gain a head start and corner the world market for its use. The cooperative must now devise a scheme to thwart this theft.
To make things even more confusing for Shar K, her host family lives beside a family of wizards, and she learns she has ancestors in Costa Rica who practiced magic. She has previous untapped magic talent.
With her newly discovered knowledge, Shar-K’ must sort out the magical from the scientific as she travels Ohio and Costa Rica to thwart the Asian power who will do anything to steal the Petrol Tree genetic code. Shar K’ embarks on an adventure that will require all her genetics and magic talent to protect her life and ensure that the correct genetic code for the Petrol Tree gets into the correct hands.
