Family
WOW! This story was really good! A mystery without a dead body…even better! Jennifer called in at the antique store to sell some of her mom’s antique pieces. But she had an ulterior motive as well. She also had an accident and fell on the bridge. Maggie took her in for her recovery time. All of this said, Jennifer also found what she was actually looking for.

Excellent mystery
Good background information about the town and the family. It kept my interest until the end. I look forward to the next book in the series.

These books really are perfect cozy reads and I even read it in the same month the story is set! This had less to do with antiques but it was still cozy and fun

The 9th book in the series. Maggie’s bridge between the Carriage House Antiques store she inherited and her Sedgeweck Manor where she lives was the cause of injury to a woman who visited the store and was headed to see Maggie to show her an antique frame. Maggie has the doldrums over her daughter in college and not seeing her much, and she’s seemed to gotten an overactive imagination and suspicious mind just about everything. She feels people in Somerset Harbor all of a sudden are acting strange too. Plus she’s hearing things in the Manor that aren’t there. The typical mysteries and such happen, but there is some added intrigue involved with some Somerset Harbor citizens and culprits they hire. It’s a keep you on your toes what’s going to happen next type story.

Nice little mystery. The first part found Maggie helping Jennifer after she slipped outside the manor. Jennifer was a stranger to Maggie so it was odd that she was so willing to help Jennifer. James warned Maggie about letting strangers stay at the manor but Maggie felt she had to because Jennifer fell at the manor on a slippery path. The story was slow moving but the second half got exciting. With voices coming from a vacant room to secrets in a fake fireplace. There was a break in, fire and an attempt towards murder. It was worth the read.

I feel like there wasn’t much of a mystery to this book, but I enjoyed the roles each character played in this book. It was a fun and easy read, a good cozy mystery for sure!
