Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.

I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.

I am so humbled that Quinn would choose me to be her ARC reader for this book. Oh and what a book it was! The way she brought the story to life with the details was par for the course from Quinn. She never ceases to amaze me with her writing. She makes you feel for the characters, describes scenes so that you are right there with them and allows her words to flow so the read is easy. Whether a deep bond, a battle or even just friends hanging out, this book permits you to partake in all of them. I was lost in the world of elementals and their light but also the cold, creepy darkness. Quinn has a knack for keeping you on your toes and this book is no different. There were definitely some parts I didn’t see coming, which I guess I should have since that’s Quinn’s MO. What an amazing gift her writing is in its predictable unpredictability!

Quinn is the queen of epic cliffhangers and emotions that have you laughing and crying!! Every series definitely needs to be read in order. I find hard to give alot of details because I don't want to give spoilers. But for those of us who have been waiting Quinn never disappoints!🩷

Book Review: Veiled by Smoke by Quinn Loftis (Nature Hunters Academy, Book 5)

Quinn Loftis has once again raised the bar in Veiled by Smoke, the fifth installment of her Nature Hunters Academy series. This book is not just another battle between good and evil ~ it’s an all-out war for souls, for love, and for the fragile balance of the world itself.
At the heart of it, Shelly and Ra are tested beyond measure. Their bond is pushed to the breaking point, and you cannot help but wonder ~ how much more can they endure? Around them, the other soul-bonded are faced with the same impossible question: will they rise together to restore balance, or will darkness consume everything they love? And then there is Rory. She is at the forefront of one of the most compelling storylines, her heart aching with a longing for something just out of reach. Will she ever find what she’s been searching for? With Kimba, her soul-bonded dragon, that longing collides with turmoil. A slight deceit/omission wedges its way between them, and the question becomes ~ can trust be restored, or will this fracture destroy their bond forever?
On top of all this, Quinn introduces a few new characters that change the game completely … one innocent, and one truly evil. The innocence offers a fragile hope, while the darkness threatens to tip the scales once and for all. Will his evil overcome all good? Quinn paints evil in a way that is dangerously seductive ~ beautiful, tempting, nearly impossible to resist. She does not shy away from showing how easily even the strongest can falter, and how much harder it is to reclaim lost ground. The light elementals are struggling, the balance has tipped, and the outcome is far from certain. The last half of this book? Absolutely gripping. Edge-of-your-seat intensity. I kept begging Quinn in my head to just get to the point already … but in true storyteller fashion, she dragged me through every twist and turn, making the payoff that much sweeter.
What makes Quinn Loftis exceptional is not just the danger, the battles, or even the romance ~ it’s the layers. She weaves love, family (both blood and chosen), compassion, endurance, wisdom, and sacrifice into every page. She reminds us that even the mightiest warriors are still human ~ ancient or not ~ and that souls are incomplete without the ones they are bound to. By the end, I was left asking: Can the soul-bonded overcome their fractures? Can Rory and Kimba repair what has been broken? Can they unite in time to stop hell from breaking loose on earth? Will the innocent survive, or will the new evil rise and rule? Or will the dragon world and humanity alike fall under the reign of darkness?
Quinn Loftis is more than an author ~ she is a master storyteller. She does not just tell a story; she invites you into a world she built, holds you there, and makes you feel every victory, heartbreak, and temptation right alongside her characters. Her gift is giving readers an escape … a chance to leave behind our reality for a while and step into hers.
If you have not yet picked up the Nature Hunters Academy series, start with the first one, Bound by Earth. By the time you reach Veiled by Smoke, you will understand why Quinn Loftis has earned every bit of her reputation as a brilliant, renowned author.

Okay, Quinn has done it again, but I expected no less. This book has twist and turns and more twist and turns. And of course you can add some of that Quinn humor just like the other series. I would recommend this book to anyone, old or young. I would say that about any of her books. And speak about cliffhangers, she is the Queen of them. You get to find all your emotions.

Don’t want to say too much, don’t want any spoilers, but the characters draw you in. To me the book started out a little confusing, because it had been awhile since I had read the other books in the series, but soon I was drawn in. Once you start reading you don’t want to put it down. If you haven’t read the other books I suggest you do. It helps you to understand this story better, but you even if you haven’t, it still draws you in.

I love it when I can be an ARC reader for one of Quinn Loftis' books. While the themes of bonded mates and peril are in the majority of her stories (read the Grey Wolf series and Kingdom Shifter series) they all have their differences and 'Veiled By Smoke' is no different, but it is. I blew through reading this new book and I wasn't disappointed. The writing of the characters had me longing for family and tight friendships that I didn't realize I was missing. There were certain parts of the book that made me question what type of friend I am. Could my friends count on me when they needed me the most?

This story shows that love is a gift and a choice, one that you have to give and make every single day. As usual, I laughed, cried, and got mad (always a roller coaster of emotions). However, on the very first page, I couldn't put it down. Quinn has a way of writing that makes you wish you were there to experience the book in its entirety. Through Quinn's writing, I know that I will learn something and hopefully someday find my bond to share.

ARC REVIEW

Quinn does it again. She brings you back to where things left off in the previous book. She keeps you wanting to turn the pages to see what happens. Boy, you won’t be disappointed. She gave us things for this series that I didn’t see coming, and things that have me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book just so I can see what unfolds.
That is all I can write without giving spoilers.
Just go read the series if you haven’t yet. You won’t be disappointed.

Always, The Other Jen

Arc reader:

Quinn. How you do it. Every single time. Every book you write. Without fail.

You keep us gripped.
You keep us hoping for the characters. Loving the characters with all our hearts and feeling like we are right there with them, inside the story.

I have not found a series you have written that I havent enjoyed, liked and loved.

The cliff hanger has me begging for more. The characters are incredible. I cannot wait for the next one to come already!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the fantasy worlds you immerse me in and keep me going.

Quinn has written yet another literary work of awesomeness. I am so grateful I was chosen as an arc reader this go round. In the fifth installment of The Nature Hunter series be prepared for an onslaught of emotions, we see sides to these characters we never could have expected. Quinn had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through with so many unexpected twists and turns. But in true Quinn fashion this go round was a beautiful story to read. Truly the bond between Shelly and Ra was tested but they stayed strong and persevered. I really liked this book from start to finish. I look forward to what comes for the nature hunters!

I struggled to write this review for quite a few reasons. Two of those reasons include the fact that if you have not read books 1-4, do NOT start with Veiled By Smoke, Book #5. Another challenge was trying to figure out what to say without giving anything away. That said, if you haven't read any of Quinn Loftis' books and you read ebooks, the first book in each of her sseriesis free. Take advantage and get started. Visit QuinnLoftisBooks.com where you can get them.

Now - my review:

Not posted anywhere, yet. I am still processing.

Whew! The fifth book in the Nature Hunters Academy, Veiled By Smoke is a humdinger. Before you think about reading book 5 and going down the rabbit hole, you must read books 1-4. You need the context and the nuances. If you have already read the preceding books, then get ready for another fantastic adventure into the great unknown.

Our original four couples, Elias and Tara, Ra and Shelley, Liam and Gabby, and Ashton and Rory are back. Their signature wit, sarcasm and determination to save the world is as strong as ever. Osiris ...PLOT TWIST, and let's not forget Kimba, the dragon. Other soul bonded light elementals are introduced. They are needed for the battle royale Mother Gaia has called on them to fight.

Mother nature (not Mother Gaia) is wrecking havoc across the planet. Earth's light and dark balance is out of whack. The light elementals are desperately needed to bring back the balance. It won't be easy and the price is high. The dark elementals are like gremlins destroying, confusing, and causing pain wherever they are.

Secrets get revealed. Surprises await. This is a darker book than the first books meant for a more mature reader. Put on your seat belt. You are in for another Quinn-Verse roller coaster ride.

Veiled By Smoke would make an excellent Halloween ride. If you enjoy the occasional boo, distorted mirrors, and lovey dovey make out sessions in between, then this book is for you. Make sure to stay in your seat until the very end. Then, join me in laughing.

Another great one by Quinn Loftis! I really don’t know how she does it, she just writes these amazing books you don’t want to put down and then you want more.
I’ll be honest, I probably should have reread the previous books, but once I started reading I remembered everything. (Although I plan to go back and reread!) The twists and turns keep you going. We have the same characters that we have learned to love in this series. They are learning how to work together and save the world at the same time as being put through things that would take down the best of us! They keep up their banter, which is probably what keeps them going overall. There’s a lot of realm jumping within this book but it is easy to follow. There are more characters to hate, and the ending has you craving more while being shocked at what is going on and where the next path will lead. (By the way, it’s really hard not to give anything away!) You definitely see the trust and hope within this book getting stronger with the soul bonded elementals, but watching them struggle with things at the same time. There is a wonderful section in this book where we meet a new character that I can’t wait to see where this character brings us down the road and what their path will be.
Being an ARC is tough, because now I wait even longer for the next book! BUT I also love helping our beloved Quinn and her talent for writing.

Holy pharaoh babies, what an emotional rollercoaster. What do you mean, Osiris is not the actual ruler of hell?! When the true ruler of hell returns, quite literally everything goes to hell in a handbasket. All the soul-bonded couples, new and old, must unite to stop the world as they know it from collapsing. Again, Shelly and Ra, my favorite soul-bonded couple, are in peril. Hell always has them in its grasp; it seems unfair, but their trials and tribulations only make them stronger in the end. I quite literally bawled my eyes out, almost yeeted my Kindle across the house, and then begged for there to be more pages left of the book. What I can say is this: Quinn has the greatest ability to reel her readers in, break their hearts, and have them begging for more. I absolutely love the newest installment of The Nature Hunters Academy series, and I can't wait for more.

Thank you Quinn for being such an amazing author and for choosing me to be an ARC reader. I am truly blessed to be able to read her stories before it’s out. I love helping her out with reviews and such. I hope that one day book stories will have her books in their stores. Anyways, this followed the event of the last book of hers, meeting new characters and still having that great banter between the characters we’ve already fallen in love with. Quinn does a great job of making you hate a specific character and love another one. She is so talent in her works. And I hope to be able to be as good an author as her. I LOVED this book, and in true QL style, we are left wanting more and hoping for the next one. Can’t wait to read the next one whenever you get to it!!!

I enjoy being an ARC reader for books by the Amazing Quinn. This one was such a great read. The way the books just keep getting better shows how her brilliant talent is endless. The details for the characters really makes you feel as though you have entered their world. And who doesn't want to get lost in a world like this.
Dragons, elements and everything in-between. Love is tested and people grow and learn from their past. Start this series with Book 1 if you haven't already and prepare yourself for a journey you will never want to end.
Note to one of my favorite authors....keep em coming. I am ready for more.

Being an ARC reader is always a privilege.
Quinn Loftis has done it again. She writes a story that pulls you into the story line you fall in love with the characters, you hurt when they hurt, you find joy in their triumph. Veiled by Smoke is book 5 in the Nature Hunter Academy Series. You get to visit with all your favorite characters and some new characters. If you haven't read these books it's a great read, Quinn doesn't disappoint. Oh that cliffhanger, I'm not telling, you have to read it for yourself.

If you are looking for a serious that takes you through all your loves of fantasy qualities, then look no further than the Nature Hunter series!

Book 5 dives into a world that is in peril. Those looking to save the world are a mixture of magic and dragons! Yes, I said DRAGONS ❤️❤️ The storyline is written so well that you will forget that you had to wait for book five to be published. Quinn has been able to pick right up where book 4 left off without a detailed missed.

If you are a lover of elemental magic and dragons then your next read starts right here!

I was privileged to get an advanced copy of this book and it blew my mind. Do you give up all for your soul mate? Do you break the circle for one you love? Can past hurts ever be overcome? Can someone really ever change? So much raw pain and love cannot always save our hero and heroines when a Mark and a soul mate are on the line. Please check out this 5th book in the Nature Hunters series and you will not be disappointed. You will be left raw and shocked and ready for more in this well written book!

Veiled By Smoke! WOW

Ok. So I totally did not know what to expect once the 4 boys were mated. This book took an entirely different twist than I could imagine. All I can say is, if you love all things Quinn Loftis as much as I do you won’t be disappointed. If you are new to her books you should probably start at book 1 of the series because like I said, just WOW. Note to Ms. Loftis. Please don’t make us wait too long for the next one. I know you must write as fast as you can but my addiction to all of your series just leaves me looking for the next, and the next, and so on.

I really enjoyed this book .The magic of each couple makes you feel like you’re there .Rory and her frustrations learning she’s been in the dark for most of her life to have that veil lifted and remember your life before being taken and raised by an evil witch .Finding someone to help lift and find a piece of the puzzle .The search by all her friends to find her missing sister begins and this is where everything starts going upside down .A mistake is made by Rory with serious ramifications that will rock the foundations and Ra is left rocking his world and choices need to be made

Very happy to have been chosen as an arc reader for this book by Quinn Loftis. As always she does it again another amazing story by my favorite author. I really enjoyed this book in the Series. There are a lot of twists and every time I thought I knew what the outcome would be she would throw in a curve ball. The ending was not what I was expecting! Truly great story there is darkness and forgiveness and I look forward to the next book in the series to know the outcome for all the characters.

Loved the story of light & dark elements & you can’t help fall in love with individual characters especially Shelley gotta love the sass. Cannot wait for the next book.

I am a big fan of all of Quinn’s books that I have read but I’m fairly new to this series. I was hooked after the first book and couldn’t wait for this one to be released. I was definitely not disappointed! Quinn did an amazing job like always! I couldn’t wait to find out what happened with Kimba and Osiris. Quinn makes the characters come to life like no other author I have read and I can’t wait for her next release!

This was a good read! One thing I love about Quinn Loftis is that her writing reminds me of real people. You can feel the love and devotion between the characters even when they are bantering back and forth. This had dragons, demons, epic battles, funny bickering, love, friendship, fellowship. Loved.

The trouble with waiting for the next book is that sometimes you lose the thread of what happened previously.
I found that with this book, I was halfway through before I picked up the story so maybe a synopsis at the beginning might be helpful to give the novel context. Having said all that once I picked up the threads I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
